this is another point I wanted to raise. The two Ijaw boys are diaspora Nigerians more or less, one of the Esan girls is mixed, and the other may be more familiar with Yoruba culture, based on where she grew up.

This just goes to show the importance of learning one's culture deeply, because you don't know where you will have to represent.

Ofcourse. I knew there were other tribes represented apart from the 3 major, that's why I am quite surprised at the boring Yoruba-Igbo drama. Although, with how clueless the Yoruba peeps are about their culture, I wont be overly surprised the other tribes are not versed in theirs, too. It's also quite difficult to show diversity in a naming ceremony. Relationship between tribes, yes, but not diversity. Now the clueless fools are singing Hosanna. They think they are at NYSC bonfire night.
