I currently live in Lagos, and just yesterday evening I was walking down an ordinary Ikeja street, and it doesn't take a prophet to point out which of the ladies is Yoruba and which one is Igbo. She had hazel eyes and a very typically Igbo lovely complexion, and nearby was a group of typical Yoruba guys starring at her with gaping mouths. Tomorrow, when they start chasing an Igbo woman to marry, you will tell me they are liberal. Liberal my foot. They just want an Igbo lady to contribute her genetic being to their lineages, as they wish to improve the loveliness of their race.

But with the coming of Tinubu and the huge anti-Igbo stance of his government, it is just a matter of time before Igbo fathers will stop agreeing to their daughters being paired with Igbo-haters. Yorubas marry Yorubas more. the population of Yoruba men marrying Igbo women is far less than the population of Yoruba men married to their fellow Yoruba women. Now, we dont really marry the Hausas for obvious reasons

Again, using factual cases like the issue of Presidents and Govs from SW, Its obvious that its really about Yoruba men marrying more from other tribes than any other men

Igbo women are more than calabar,Benin and co, so you dont expect to see more inter-tribal marriage between Yoruba and Efik than you would see between Yoruba and Igbo

Yoruba men are liberal enough to marry more from other tribes than other men
Yoruba have had two presidents and none married an Igbo none had a Yoruba firstlady too

It points to the fact that they marry from just any tribe but marrying igbo women tend to be more common cause of the population of the Igbos

Even among SW Govs, we have as many igbo firslady as we have for other tribes in the SW, so again, its not about Igbo women, its about Yoruba men liberal lifestlye and also about Igbo women having more population than the rest
