This means that, even before the so-called balkanization of the post independence Eastern region into other states, ethnic groups like Ika,Ogoni and co were never supposed to be grouped together with the Igbos cause they were never with them at any point before now

So Ika isnt with the Igbos even in that map
Ibibio, ogoni and co stood alone as a distinct ethnic group
