Politics › GEJ's Community Leaders Back Tinubu For Second Term by DiamondsAreFore(op): 8:25pm On Dec 18, 2025 |
Leaders of Ogbia Kingdom in Bayelsa and Rivers states have asked President Bola Tinubu to contest the 2027 presidential election, pledging their full support for his re-election.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the president at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Collins Daniel, a traditional ruler, pledged the kingdom’s unalloyed support for the president’s efforts at building a greater Nigeria.
Samuel Ogbuku, managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), led the delegation to the State House.
The traditional ruler said the support for Tinubu’s second term is a show of appreciation for his inclusive leadership and development interventions in the Niger Delta.
"In light of the above, it is our firm belief that Mr President has done us well, and as such, we cannot help but reciprocate your kind gesture by inviting Mr President to contest the next presidential election,” he said.
“You have the full support of the Ogbia Kingdom. Mr President, we are behind you.”
He said the visit was to appreciate the president’s leadership style and the confidence reposed in sons and daughters of Ogbia through key national appointments.
“We have come first and foremost to express our heartfelt appreciation for your inclusive leadership and the confidence you have reposed in our sons and daughters through their recent appointments and re-appointments into key national positions,” the traditional ruler said.
He described the appointments as “a powerful affirmation of our people’s faith in your administration”.
Those acknowledged include Moore Abraham Aseima Adumein, justice of the supreme court; Samuel Ogbuku, managing director of the NDDC; Tonye Okio, federal character commission commissioner representing Bayelsa; and Fernandez Marcus-Obiene, special assistant to the president on justice reform and ICT/digital and innovative technology.
He said the Ogbia leaders commended the performance of the NDDC under Ogbuku, noting that communities across the kingdom and the wider Niger Delta had witnessed “unprecedented infrastructural and human capital development” since his appointment on August 29, 2023.
“Suffice it to say that virtually every community in Ogbia Kingdom and in the Niger Delta now enjoys solar lights at night, which has significantly illuminated the Niger Delta and boosted economic activities,” he added.
He noted that the interventions had “to a large extent curbed insecurity in the Kingdom and the entire region”.
He listed road construction, ecological projects, upgraded health facilities and youth empowerment programmes, including Project HOPE in technology, agriculture, arts and green energy, as part of the NDDC’s achievements.
“Your appointment of Dr Samuel Ogbuku sends a clear message of your confidence in indigenous leadership and reinforces the trust of the Niger Delta people in your Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
Daniel commended the president for the federal projects in the area, which he listed to include the Oloibiri oil museum and research centre, the rehabilitation of the Ogbia section of the Ogbia–Nembe–Brass road, and the construction of the Otuogori–Otuegwe bridge along the Ekole river.
He described Ogbia as “the cradle of Nigeria’s oil industry”, noting that crude oil was first discovered in commercial quantity in the community in 1956.
Beyond oil, the visitors cited the 1959 pre-independence political alliance led by Melford Okilo and the 2015 concession of defeat by the former President Goodluck Jonathan as sacrifices for national unity.
“Those critical moments clearly demonstrated that the people of Ogbia have consistently believed in, and sacrificed for, one indivisible Nigeria. Our contributions to the Nigerian project have been profound and enduring,” he said.
He noted that the kingdom deserved greater attention and development support, presenting requests, including the establishment of an institute of energy and petroleum studies in Ogbia, partnership on the Akaba–Emadike road, and shoreline protection for coastal communities threatened by erosion.
He assured the president of the loyalty and support of the people of the kingdom, inviting him to visit the Ogbia.
“May God Almighty continue to grant you wisdom, strength and good health as you steer the affairs of our great nation,” he said.
Responding, Tinubu assured the delegation that his administration would work closely with Niger Delta indigenes in government, particularly the managing director of the NDDC, to deepen development efforts.
“We cannot excuse the neglect of the past, but living in the past will do us no good, except to take it and run with it now, carefully,” the president said. https://www.thecable.ng/leaders-from-jonathans-community-back-tinubu-for-second-term/Mynd44 Lalasticlala Nlfpmod

Politics › DSS Arrests Osun-Based Islamic Leader Over Pro-Palestine Protest by DiamondsAreFore(op): 7:59am On Dec 17, 2025 |
The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested an Osun State–based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, following a pro-Palestine protest held in the state, according to Western Post.
Sheikh Molaasan, who is the leader of the Islamic group Ta’awunu Muslimeen, was arrested after a video circulated online showing him and his followers staging a demonstration in support of Palestine, which is currently under occupation by the State of Israel. In the viral footage, members of the group were seen raising the Palestinian flag and calling for the liberation of Palestine.
The video sparked widespread reactions and intense debate on social media, with several Nigerians expressing concern over the security implications of the group’s activities. Critics questioned the nature of the protest and warned that such demonstrations could pose risks in a country already grappling with serious security challenges linked to religious extremism.
Ta’awunu Muslimeen describes itself as an organisation committed to Islamic teachings and advocacy for global Muslim causes. The group has previously organised similar demonstrations, including a pro-Palestine protest in 2018, indicating a history of public activism around the issue.
During the recent march in Iwo, participants were seen chanting religious slogans and professing allegiance to the Qur’an and Sunnah. However, certain aspects of the protest, particularly the synchronised arm movements by demonstrators, attracted criticism, with some observers drawing controversial comparisons to a Nazi-style salute.
Further concerns were raised over the presence of children in the protest, who were seen reciting intense religious chants. Analysts and members of the public noted that involving minors in such demonstrations could heighten fears, especially given Nigeria’s long-standing struggle with insurgency and radicalisation.
As of the time of this report, the DSS has not issued an official statement detailing the charges against Sheikh Molaasan or clarifying whether he is being detained for questioning or faces formal prosecution. https://theyorubatimes.com/breaking-dss-arrests-osun-based-islamic-leader-sheikh-daood-imran-molaasan-over-pro-palestine-protest/

Dangote Vs. Farouk Ahmed feud renewed:
Dangote: “Mallan Farouk has four of his children whom he educated in Switzerland at a cost of $5 million for their secondary school education alone, not university.
“When you look at his income, his income does not match paying this kind of fees. And even if it’s me paying $5m for six years for my four children, the taxman has to look at my taxes and how much I pay.”
“From Sokoto, where he comes from, people are struggling to pay N100,000 for school fees. A lot of children are at home, not going to school, because of N100,000,” Aliko Dangote added, alleging that the Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Farouk Ahmed, should be investigated.

"My name Musa Bello Musa. I was born and brought up in Islamic background. My father is the chief of Fulani local government in Kaduna State. We are predominantly Muslim in that area. My own conversion is a conversion by research, comparison between Bible and the Qur’an. Qur’an 46:9, Prophet Muhammad said I am not something original, neither something important, neither do I know what will be done to me or be done to you. I am nothing but a clear warner. Prophet Muhammad is telling his followers that he’s nobody, he doesn’t even know what will be done to him. Immediately I read that verse, the religion that I was practicing, Islam, began to become suspicious to me. How can I be following you when you don’t know where you’re going? I went back to Bible and I saw that Jesus said He is going to prepare a place in my Father’s house. There are many mansions in my Father’s house, where He will be is where we will be. Christ Jesus gave His followers the assurance of where they will be and where He will be. Christ Jesus says when someone sl@ps you on the right cheek, turn the left one. But when it comes to Islam, reverse is the case. I don’t see anything like peace in that religion. Islam is by force. The day you decide to leave it, have it at the back of your mind that you have put your life at r!sk. Whoever leaves Islam for another religion, the punishment is k!ll!ng. My dad also looked at it that I brought shame into his family. He be@t the hell out of my mother and sent her out, saying he will k!ll her if she did not find me. I had to run away for my dear life. To the glory of God, under our ministry, we have more than 2,000 Fulanis who surrendered their life to Christ..." - A Fulani ex-Muslim man has sparked debates after sharing the journey that led him to Christianity. https://x.com/i/status/1999907970331599321Mynd44 Lalasticlala Nlfpmod |

Celebrities › Burna Boy Offers To Cover Funeral Costs For Victims Of American Mass Shooting by DiamondsAreFore(op): 11:55am On Dec 04, 2025 |
An international artist is stepping in to help families grieving after the mass shooting that killed four people and hurt eleven others at a Stockton birthday party.
The shooting happened Saturday evening in the area of Lucile Avenue and Thornton Road. Those killed included an 8-year-old, 9-year-old, 14-year-old and 21-year-old.
Among them was 14-year-old Amari Peterson. His father, Patrick Peterson, said he was a "gentle soul," loved by many and passionate about sports. “He loved sports, he loved football. He loved basketball,” said Peterson. “He ran a little bit of track, but overall, he was a gentle soul.”
Vice Mayor Jason Lee says the mass shooting caught the attention of entertainment executive Wack 100, who then connected him with Burna Boy.
“When I heard about the children murdered in Stockton, my heart broke. After hearing the story on The Breakfast Club, I reached out to Wack 100 and connected with Jason Lee because no family should ever face this kind of pain alone. I wanted to do whatever I could to support these parents as they begin the long process of healing," Burna Boy said in a statement.
Burna Boy offered to cover the funeral costs for all of the victims.
“I want to thank Burna Boy for his support of families and children he has never met but still felt moved to help. Let his generosity serve as an example: so many people want to help but may not know how—and our community needs that support now more than ever," Lee said.
Lee has been meeting with families since Sunday’s vigil and continued calls for unity, accountability and community healing.
“This is not just another headline. Four lives were stolen, eleven others were wounded, families were changed forever, and our community cannot remain numb to this level of tragedy. We need accountability for those responsible, and we must recommit ourselves to breaking cycles of violence with real resources, real intervention, and real unity," Lee said. https://www.11alive.com/article/news/nation-world/burna-boy-funeral-costs-stockton/103-f4c84257-fbf1-4d41-90f4-f33c36cd8c2e

Politics › Retired Commissioner Of Police Blasts Imams Who Preach Extremism by DiamondsAreFore(op): 7:47am On Dec 02, 2025 |
A retired Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sheriff Abubakar Rabiu, yesterday lit a fire under Northern Nigeria’s religious establishment with a blistering open letter that has gone viral across mosques. He spit it out raw "I am accusing a section of Northern Islamic clerics of “poisoning the minds of our youth with vituperative, inciting and dangerously divisive sermons” that have turned pulpits into platforms for open warfare against Christians". "Nobody has the key to Jannatul Firdausi except Allah,” Sheriff thundered. “Yet any Tom, Dick and Harry with myopic knowledge of Islam wakes up, grabs a microphone and starts calling our Christian brothers ‘Arna’, ‘Kafurai’, ‘infidels destined for hell’. This is not Islam. This is madness. "And this madness gave birth to Boko Haram.” "An idle mind is the devil’s workshop,” he wrote. “Those street children you see begging today are tomorrow’s recruits, dummies and foot soldiers for every new terrorist franchise that promises them paradise for killing ‘infidels’.” “Instead of shouting ‘Trump is Islamophobic’, let us go back to our drawing board. Why did America put us on that list? Because some of our preachers behave like they are above the law. Let them Try that kind of sermon in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, even Cameroon – you will be arrested and executed the same day. "But here in secular Nigeria they insult Christians from Friday to Friday and nobody touches them.” On this note I am issuing a direct challenge to President Bola Tinubu: order the National Assembly, all 19 Northern governors and 774 local government chairmen to enact iron-clad laws that criminalise: – Calling any Nigerian an “arne” or “kafir” from the pulpit – Street begging by children (Almajiri) – Hate speech disguised as religious preaching “Do this sincerely,” Sheriff warned, “and America will see we are serious. Fail, and we invite the same digital war machinery that turned Afghanistan and Iraq into graveyards.” If we implement these measures, Nigeria will return to the peace we enjoyed in the early 1970s to 90s when Muslims and Christians drank from the same cup, married each other’s sisters and buried each other’s dead.” https://x.com/trigottista/status/1995474849351791088?t=vCULg0BLoVm0pMOEoY6Ylw&s=19Mynd44 Lalasticlala Nlfpmod |

Politics › A Northern Christian Who Scored 83 Was Dumped In Favour Of Muslim Who Scored 54 by DiamondsAreFore(op): 3:17pm On Nov 29, 2025 |
ABUJA — A coalition of Northern clerics has accused the Federal Government of religious bias in the appointment of new Permanent Secretaries, alleging that a Christian candidate who scored 83 percent in the recent selection interview was sidelined for a Muslim counterpart who scored 54 percent. The allegation was made by the Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA) in an open letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the Minister of Justice, and the leadership of the National Assembly. The statement, dated November 6, 2025, was signed by Rev. (Dr) Luke Shehu, Chairman of ACIPA. ACIPA said it was deeply troubled by what it described as another case of religious persecution against Northern Christians in the civil service, noting that the decision mocked merit and fairness in federal appointments. “Our attention has been drawn to yet another persecution against a Northern Christian with regards to the right to the position of Federal Permanent Secretary following the recent interview,” Shehu said. The group said the case highlighted a pattern of marginalisation that had persisted for years, especially against Christians in the northern part of the country. It argued that despite repeated denials, the evidence of discrimination in recruitment, scholarships, and promotions remained glaring. “Despite government’s denial of persecution and systematic genocide against Christians, especially in Northern Nigeria, it is evident that Northern Christians and Hausa Christians in particular have been and are still denied rights of employment, scholarships and appointments,” ACIPA stated. Citing the outcome of the recent interview for Permanent Secretaries, the group said the top-scoring candidate, a Christian from the North East, was unfairly dropped, while Mohammed Musa Isiyaku, who scored 54 percent and ranked fifth, was announced as Permanent Secretary by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) on November 4, 2025. “In the usual perpetuation of denial of rights and persecution of Northern Christians and indigenous people, one Mohammed Musa Isiyaku, who scored 54 percent emerging the fifth position, was announced as Permanent Secretary by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation,” the group said. The association said it was aware of plans to proceed with the swearing-in of the lower-ranked candidate and urged the government to halt the process immediately. “We are aware of the ongoing process to swear in the said Mohammed as the Permanent Secretary instead of the qualified Christian,” ACIPA warned. Rev. Shehu said the group’s stance was not driven by confrontation but by its commitment to fairness, justice, and the protection of all Nigerians irrespective of faith. “True to our calling as advocates of peace, unity, social justice and development, we are not only renouncing and rejecting the travesty and persecution but we are calling on all concerned to correct this abnormality and travesty with immediate effect,” he said. The group called on faith leaders, traditional rulers, and civil society advocates to speak up against what it described as a long-standing pattern of injustice, adding that silence in the face of persecution could further divide the country. “ACIPA is calling on all advocates against persecution and travesty to rise to the occasion and call authorities to order against the persecution of Christians in the North. A travesty that has almost become a norm. This is no longer acceptable,” the group added. Copies of the letter were sent to religious leaders, monarchs, ministers, lawmakers, media houses, security chiefs, and indigenous organisations, as ACIPA urged collective action to end what it called ‘institutionalised discrimination’ against Northern Christians in public service appointments. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/11/fg-under-fire-for-snubbing-christian-who-topped-permanent-secretary-interview/ |

Celebrities › Re: The One Drop Rule Created A Class Of Blacks With Joe Biden's Bloodline by DiamondsAreFore: 12:04pm On Nov 25, 2025 |
I'm reporting you for spreading anti semitic lies. By the time Nairaland is deplatformed, you'll have to find a new place to peddle your lies TheBedWench: The one-drop rule is a social and legal principle of racial classification that was historically prominent in the United States in the 20th century. It asserted that any person with even one ancestor of black ancestry ("one drop" of black blood)[1][2] is considered black (Negro or colored in historical terms).
This concept became codified into the law of some states in the early 20th century. It was associated with the principle of "invisible blackness" that developed after the long history of racial interaction in the South, which had included the hardening of slavery as a racial caste and later segregation. It is an example of hypodescent, the automatic assignment of children of a mixed union between different socioeconomic or ethnic groups to the group with the lower status, regardless of proportion of ancestry in different groups.[3]
The one-drop rule is defunct in law in the United States and was never codified into federal law.
The Askenaski Jews ran the Transatlantic Slave Trade. West African Hamite kings who shared similar paganistic beliefs and practices with the phony Jesuit Jews and fake Judaism Jews collaborated with getting rid of the Black Hebrews by selling them to the Jews. The Black Hebrews were an inconvenience and threat to the dominant pagan culture and coupled with the spread of Islam. The Jews right away began impregnating Black women to breed out the Male bloodline. This started with rape of Black women to produce the half breed lightskin woman who they called the Wench. These Negroe Bed Wenches were sold as housemaids and concubines to Jewish plantation owners. From these sexual unions were created your early Boule which are now called the Black Greek society. So all the early Black slave owners came from this class including the Klu Klux Klan Blacks who helped the Jews and poor Whites keep the Blacks oppressed and under control throughout America. All the Black professionals were from this One Drop Class that participated in the system of lynchings and chain gangs. Being Black was a hated skin color because it identified one with the unmixed Hebrews and field slaves. Yet as time went on the One Drop Boule class like Kamala Harris became browner and darkskin, although a good majority of them were still able to pass for White. This is the secret relationship between Blacks and Jews like Joe Biden and George Soros. The Jews run the Black community through the sell out Boule Blacks whose bloodlines goes back to the one drop phenomenon.

Politics › Tinubu: I’m Depressed Over Kebbi Schoolgirls' Abductions, General Uba’s Death by DiamondsAreFore(op): 4:52am On Nov 19, 2025 |
President Bola Tinubu says he is depressed by the recent upsurge in insecurity, resulting in the murder of Brigadier General Musa Uba by terrorists and abductions of schoolgirls in Kebbi State.
This is just as he sent Vice-President Kashim Shettima to Kebbi to sympathise with the state government and assure parents and guardians of the kidnapped schoolgirls that the government would ensure their quick release.
He also condoled with the military over the deaths of soldiers in a battle with terrorists in Borno State.
“President Tinubu also sent his condolences to the military over the death of the gallant soldiers and Brigadier General Musa Uba, who paid the ultimate price while on active duty fighting insurgents in Borno state.”
“The President, who the military authorities have fully briefed about the two incidents, expressed sadness over the abduction of the schoolgirls, despite intelligence warnings of a possible strike by the bandits. He commended Governor Mohammed Nasir Idris for the efforts made to avert the kidnapping.
“While decrying the security breach that led to the regrettable abduction of girls from the boarding school in Maga, Kebbi State, President Tinubu urged communities across the country, especially in areas facing security challenges, to share information and intelligence that will help the military, the police and the DSS to make the communities safe.
“President Tinubu stated that the security forces cannot perform optimally without the support of Nigerians and local communities.
“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, I am depressed with the tragic death of our soldiers and officers on active duty. May God comfort the families of Brigadier General Musa Uba and other fallen heroes.
“I am also depressed that heartless terrorists have disrupted the education of innocent schoolgirls. I have directed the security agencies to act swiftly and bring the girls back to Kebbi State.
“Our security forces cannot succeed in protecting us if the people don’t cooperate and share information that will help them keep our communities safe. I urge community leaders and our compatriots across the country, especially those in the theatres of operations, to share useful information. Your cooperation is crucial in our fight against these security challenges,” the President said,” Bayo Onanuga, Presidential spokesman, said in a statement. https://dailytrust.com/tinubu-im-depressed-over-kebbi-abductions-generals-death/?noamp=available

Speaking before the Turkish parliament's Planning and Budget Committee, Goktas said projections by the Turkish Statistical Institute had shown that the number of primary-school-age children will drop by 900,000 over the next five years.
Goktas warned that the weakening of the family structure was the "root of many social problems", responding to criticism over the government's decision to declare a "Year of the Family".
According to Turkish daily Milliyet, the minister warned that "the population issue is a matter of our country's survival, and 50 percent of households do not have children".
During discussions of her ministry's 2026 budget, Goktas also defended the 'Year of the Family' initiative, saying the announcement had been met with "attempts to discredit and mislead" the public.
She criticised efforts to frame the family as a point of tension in politics, saying: "I do not understand the attempts to create a dispute between the family and women. An approach that elevates one and diminishes the other weakens both. We categorically reject the ideological framing of the family in these terms."
Goktas added that declining birth rates cannot be explained solely by income levels, employment rates or the size of the economy.
"Every country in the world is taking action on this. From Europe to countries that once enforced a one-child policy, serious steps are being taken to protect and strengthen the family. We must treat the family as a global strategic priority," she said.
She highlighted "revolutionary reforms" over the past 23 years aimed at empowering women.
"We have removed taboos and barriers facing women in all areas of life - from education and healthcare to politics and academia, from the justice sector to culture and the arts. Women in this country will not return to the old days of guardianship and restrictions," she said.
Last year, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that declining birth rates had posed an "existential threat" to Turkey's future.
"We are below the population replacement rate of 2.1," Erdoğan told his cabinet, calling the situation "a disaster for Turkey".
The government has introduced a range of incentives to raise the birth rate, including benefits for early marriage, financial support for new parents, low-interest loans for newlyweds, and tax breaks for mothers who retire early after having three children. But the expected rise in fertility has not materialised.
Erdogan frequently calls for the preservation of large, extended families and often criticises practices such as birth control and caesarean sections, which he argues reduce fertility. https://www.newarab.com/news/birth-rate-worry-turkey-50-families-have-no-children

Politics › Re: Picture Of Gowon And King Charles Taken 70 Years Ago Makes Me Wonder by DiamondsAreFore: 9:57am On Nov 17, 2025 |
Gowon would have been either 19 or 20 as a military cadet, possibly even younger. So Gowon would be 90 years old now. gidgiddy: ......how old is Gowon?
In 1956, about 70 years ago, Queen Elizabeth II visited Nigeria with her husband, Prince Philip, and two children, Princess Ann and Prince Charles(Now King Charles). On their return to London, some West African officer cadets who were studying at the Prestigious Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, England, were organised to give the Queen and her family a guard of honour at Heathrow Airport. Prince Charled was about 7 or 8 years at the time.
The guard of honour from Left to Right: Alexander Madiebo, Yakubu Gowon, Addo, David Ejoor.
I saw on the News yesterday that King Charles turned 77 years recently. It makes me wonder how old Gowon is?
Gowon, King Charles and Princess Ann are the only people in this picture that are still alive
Major General Alexander Madiebo: Was Gowons course mate at Sandhurst. He later became the GOC commanding the entire Biafran Army during the Civil war. He wrote the famous book "The Nigerian Revolution And The Biafran war". He died in 2022 aged 90 years
Major General David Ejoor: He also attended Sandhurst but was a course ahead of Gowon and Madiebo. He would later become Military Governor of the old Midwest Region. He also became Chief Of Army Staff. He died in 2019 aged 87 years
Major General Yakubu Gowon: Briefly became Chief Of Army Staff before becoming Military Head Of State |

Sports › Happy South Africans Mock Nigeria Over Failure To Qualify For WC by DiamondsAreFore(op): 9:30am On Nov 17, 2025 |
The controversial South African Sports Minister, Gayton Mackenzie who was a former gang member and organised criminal when he was a young man, has taken to his X account to mock Nigerians for failing to qualify for the WC and other South Africans have joined him. The minister commented on last night's game: They were busy digging a grave for @BafanaBafana instead of preparing adequately 🕺🏽🙏Mr Mackenzie had earlier caused controversy when he said that he did not want Nigeria to qualify for next year's World Cup because of the role that Nigeria had played in the deduction of 3 points from South Africa in the group stages for fielding an ineligible player in their game against Lesotho in March this year. https://x.com/GaytonMcK/status/1990289757243609471?t=j9m7S3K9YUqNKO8ZppBIJg&s=19
