This is the most confusing rig I have seen in a while. The CPU and and GPU are mobile so reflects a laptop, but the display is 50 inches so makes for a desktop, poster says his CPU has four cores(he actually said 4 CPUs but that's by the way).
Dude do you have a laptop with an external display?

err, The 50inch clearly serves as external display +HDMI
Just as d controller, mouse and keypad are all external devices.

-by the way, if u use DxDiag & to spool & export the systems spec. (LENOVO Y510p) as i did... (pls refer to the 1st s'shot)
I b'liv d reason is in line 2 of d 2nd s'shot... 2 logical cores per physical.

I stick with a Gaming laptop +HDMI cause I've always been on the move.

also can't stand d fact that if i get an xbox i wouldn't b able to play titles such as Metal gear & Uncharted... & with a PS. Halo 4 & Alan Wake r cancelled out...

PC Gaming

Pros:
1)Insanely better graphics on up to date PC's Laptops
2)Games are cheaper (If your into buying -got my max payne 3 for about $10)
3)Better & more accurate controls in keyboard & mouse combi. (Gamepads are also available)
4)Free cracked Pir. Titles (in just 'bout a week after their release) from groups like blackbox,reloaded,3DM,R.G Mechanics...etc
5)Portability (Using a Laptop)
6)Better connectivity -Dedicated servers for (online PC gamers) + LAN gaming
7)Modding -Unlimited Free 3rd Party Customization in almost every game. I'm sure many have tasted d new experience from Mods in games like PES & FIFA -but that's even basic.
BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY gives U access to oh'so many games (i'd dare say, more than that of d 360 & PS3 put together )
9)Dual display setups.


Cons:
1)Loads of technical issues which need ‘tinkering' in order to get the game running as best it can on your PC.
2)High INITIAL cost.


Console Gaming

Pros:
1)Plug and play, easy initial set up (no tinkering /technical skills required)


Cons:
1)Graphically inferior to high-spec PCs
2)More restricted controls, Just gamepads
3)Outrageous Cost of games (would just about tripple that of the console in two years)


I'm a PC gamer so my views r probably(if not highly) biased.


My opinion: Save the cash on console games + the price of the console & get yourself a very capable/future-proof PC/Laptop & download your games or get sm @ about N500
& exchange with others... also get an Xbox/logitech controller & a gaming mouse... Ucom pads & typical Mice won't cut it.

It's more cost effective.

If you're into console gaming, pls. enlighten me & i myt mk d switch...


*Below, SOME of my games... got 'em all free apart from Fifa 14, Max Payne 3 & Hitman Abs 'cos i lv 2 play them online.

Sort d contents of the folder containing the .cab files by type... & scroll thru -u shud see a "DXSETUP.EXE" file. Run it.

Else Search & download it directly from microsoft download center

Yea It is, & you don't have to worry about compatibility with games, as its just like using a monitor..
& also HDMI auto-detects the best resolution to transmit to the screen -unlike VGA & RCA cables...

I Miss the bigger screen most times, but when I really feel like it -I use HDMI out to tv.

I agree Desktops are ideal for gaming as they could always be re-configured to keep up as the years go by (not to mention that they r also more stable & efficient).
Well, too bad for me... I'm always on the move.
I'm more into games in third person view -Hitman Abs., the Splinter Cell Series, Max Payne, LA Noire ...etc
-began trying out FPS with C.O.D, & now I'm hooked...played BF 2, & looking forward to playing BF 4.
Also spend loads of time modding soccer games -Fifa/Pes & tweaking PC's
