It requires high dissolved oxygenated water to grow well after gender reversal must have been done. Due to this reason, cage culture is what successful tilapia farmers use here in Nigeria and other West African countries. We have a farm at Ikere dam (Iseyin) and Oyan (Abeokuta) dam.

She was only able to identify what the problem is with no concrete solution. Now we ought to be talking about zero tax on importation of Aquaculture input starting from the important fish meal she mentioned. What we basically need is a way to further encourage by boosting local production of fish. Make forex available for anything we have to bring in as an input for aquaculture. This is Nigeria, we can start quite alright but not thinking we can have reliable fish meal ourselves down here with our attitude.
