I came across a Facebook post of well known OAP, Daddy Freeze, who said on the Podcast, 'The honest bunch' that he did not support Peter Obi in 2023 because Peter was MD of Nigeria Ports Authority under General Abacha.

For a while now, some people have been running with this wrong narrative despite an existing video where Peter Obi explained the situation. Some of these people claim that Obi was close to Abacha and benefited with appointments. It's ironic that some of these people supported Buhari to be President knowing fully well that Buhari was PTF Chairman throughout Abacha’s tenure. They only rememberd that its bad to get appointment under Abacha because its Perter Obi. Earlier on this year, one of Peter Obi's spokesperson, Ibrahim Umar, released a statement on this in which he said:


“The reputation Obi took into business that stood him out was what he took into politics. Before becoming Governor he never worked or held any government position. He never worked in the Nigeria Ports Authority. The closest he came to late General Sani Abacha’s government was when his petition on port congestion attracted Abacha’s attention and he co-opted him into an advocate committee for Port de-congestion that lasted less than four months.

Obi was involved in Lagos ports decongestion under Abacha, but this was a nominal role that lasted few months until the port was decongested. The MD for Nigeria Ports Authority throughout Abachas regime was Wali Ahmed

Is it not your own fickle and emotional people, now rounding on Obi because of their perception he is ambivalent over joining a "rescue Nigeria" coalition that, for Obidients, is an "anyone but Yoruba President" mission in 2027?

I am no fan of Obi but I know his antecedent enough to predict his actions almost accurately, in every situation, which you "anyone but Yoruba" President desperados will never accept.

In this situation, Obi will rather run independently, as he fled PDP to do in 2022, than be consumed by Vampires he knows he can never trust let alone gain the respect of.

Obi as he recognised what Atiku and Tambuwal etal where trying to do in the PDP in 2022, leading to him fleeing, will also understand this is a coalition of Northern bloodsucking Vampires, in all but name, looking for Southerners to use and dump.

Same reasoning that made him flee PDP in 2022 will make him shun this coalition of Northern born-to-rule imperialism. Obi is not that hard to read. He will shun this coalition to run independently.
