I need some help or advice.


I have a car whose current plate number and vehicle details are still in the name of the previous owner, and it will expire in January next year. I applied for a change of ownership and chose Abuja plate number, but it’s been more than one month now with delays and excuses about processing time.

My question is:
Can I continue using the old plate number while waiting for the Abuja plate to be ready without getting into trouble with law enforcement?

Also, if the Abuja plate isn’t ready by January, can I still renew the old plate?

I need some help or advice.

Hmm. I beg to differ. He inspected 2 vehicles for my colleague and I. And based on his report, we bought the cars. My colleague has been fixing issues he failed to notice since August till date. In fact, in his opinion, he feels the guy was bribed by the seller to say the car was okay.

The car he went to inspect for me, not up to one week of buying, we had to overhaul the engine. Sludge and all, e no see. So what kind of inspection was done?

So me I no wan hear anything about so called consultants inspecting cars if they’re just going to do rubbish.

The type of car you choose really depends on your budget, but ideally, you should go for one that’s fuel efficient. If you prefer something fancier with a bigger engine, you can consider converting it to CNG.

In my opinion, your location should be either Lagos or Abuja, as these cities are the main hubs for e-hailing due to their population size and higher income earners.

With ur 1.8l (the engine are typically more expensive), with the so called change uve 'saved'..... You go come use am buy gear 700k or engine 800 to 900k,where as eod guy go use 300k swap him engine.... This shows the majority of you here are newbies but na una quick to call person lazy driver, una goodnight jare

You posted a screenshot showing the difference between both engines, and it clearly states that cars with 1.8L and below save more fuel and money, which is very important in the e-hailing business. Did you also consider the resale value of the car you suggested? What’s the ratio of e-hailing drivers using EOD compared to those using cars like Corolla, Civic, Kia Picanto, or Suzuki? Have you wondered why people prefer cars with smaller engines?

Please don't buy EOD.

Get a car with a maximum of 1.8L engine size. The smaller the engine the better for the business(they consume less fuel).

Ensure all other components are working excellently (gear, AC, and of course engine) . Get a technician to check properly before buying( I recommend Autoconsult, he is a nairalander)
