Two women have been arrested in Gama Ward of Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State buying Permanent Voter’s Card, PVCs, ahead of March 23 supplementary election in the state. Gama Ward election was among the polling area elections cancelled by INEC in the state due to violence or over voting. Sources at the state police command in Bompai said the two women have so far bought eight PVCs from housewives in the area before their arrest after the police were alerted. According to the source, the women have confirmed to be agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and they were buying up the PVCs ahead of the upcoming supplementary election.
