SHARE IELTS BOOKS WHICH HELPED ME GET BAND 8.5 IN IELTS

I'm glad to share the IELTS books I used to get Band 8.5 for IELTS ( For these following books, you can leave your email here so that I can send directly to you or you can access one of my favorite IELTS blog named ieltsmaterial.com to download)

For improving my vocabulary, I chose English Vocabulary in Use (upper-intermediate), English Collocations in Use. These books are great and help me improve my style of written and spoken English to get fluent and natural-sounding English.

For Grammar, I learnt a lot from this excellent book: English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy, Advanced Grammar in Use

For Reading, I polished up my Reading skills by reading articles on the world-wide famous website named economist.com and learnt from Improve Your IELTS Reading Skills by Sam McCarter (best-selling IELTS writer), and practicing IELTS Reading Recent Actual Test Vol 1, 2

For Listening, I chose IELTS Listening Recent Actual Tests Vol 1,2

For Writing, I'm a fan of these books: Improve Your IELTS Writing Skills by Sam McCarter, Write Right, Visuals by Gabi Duigu.
I also learnt a lot from this blog: ieltsmaterial.com for IELTS Writing Task 2 (& I got 8.0 for Writing)

For Practice Tests, the following books reflect the actual IELTS: Cambridge IELTS Practice Test Series 1 - 10, The Official Cambridge Guide to IELTS
, and Barron's IELTS Practices Exams

For IELTS tips, strategies and guides, I highly recommend IELTS Target Band 7: How to maximise your score and The official cambridge guide to IELTS , new insight into IELTS

Most of the mentioned books, I downloaded from this useful website: ieltsmaterial.com. This IELTS bloggers are so so helpful and kind, send daily IELTS books for me and to me, it means a lot. These books are also shared by a lot of IELTS bloggers, IELTS teachers. You can google these books to read more reviews about them.

To me, reading section 3 is the easiest. I miss answers less there than in section 1 of paragraph headings or T/F/NG or yes/No/NG

Pls I have a problem! I saw in many places online that you must not read the passages from start to finish but I noticed it makes finding answers hard. On the other hand no matter how long the passage is, I can read it in 5 minutes and have the remaining 15 mins to answer the questions. Those that have don't their exam pls what do you recommend as the best method?

For the speaking test I notice that talkative extroverts are opportune to do well than those of us who are introverts and rarely talk.

Is there anybody in Ibadan taking the exam on March 19? Don't mind having a study partner before the time atleast for the speaking practise.

Also I timed my reading of the acamic texts and I can read them in 5minutes, even the third section. And I do answer the questions withing 20minutes tho there are mistakes sometimes of omission and not understanding or interpreting well. Is there a better tip for the reading?

Congrats to y'all that just saw your result. Pray I get 8.0 overall too. OK so I downloaded the Cambridge ietls 8 PDF and in the listening practise of 4 tests I had average of 35 but in reading I had 30. No way to know speaking and writing tho but for those that have done their exam what's my prospect for the exam looking at my practise scores.
