muhammaduyusufu:Any liar will be Judged by the spiritual forces of this world....somehow some day... Zik is too big a Pan-African leader to form an Igbo union...He did not... The perceived reasons behind the demolitions of properties in Lagos is different from the reasons in those SE States, and you know this... Since 2015,APC politicians....desperate to keep holding Lagos in the jugular have intentionally introduced divisive politics and you have bought it. Continue.... But don't lie to deceive |
Goodvibes007:They gave Peter Obi 90% because he is the better candidate. Are you not seeing it now. In 2019,they gave Atiku.. a Fulani.. 90% ahead of Buhari because he was better than Buhari...Didn't you later confirm Buhari Was a failure? In 2015,they gave Jonathan...an Ijaw...90% ahead of Buhari, ignoring their own Moghalu and Kachichukwu.. In 2011,they gave Jonathan 90%. In 2007,they gave Yar'adua 90% ignoring Igbo candidates and Buhari. In 2003 and 1999,they gave Obasanjo...a Yoruba....90% and Ignored Ojukwu who contested under APGA. If it was Yemi Osinbajo who contested in Labour party against....say Rochas or Orji Kalu in PDP or APC the Igbos will vote 90% for Osinbajo. The issue is that they vote for perceived competence not otherwise.. Stop pretending to be ignorant of all these, except you are only anxious to free your conscience of the guilt of the unbridled tribalism in your heart. |
Softmirror:He's talking about our wives, duh!! He's saying that women/mothers/wives tend to live longer than Men/father's/ husbands... Men should therefore beware and look after themselves. How old are some of you on Nairaland sef? |
Tjra:Truly you're right about El-Rufai... He is not exactly loved by Southern Kaduna People but... ...but.. ...he is very useful for now.For now. Na so Politics be. Peter Obi will make Southern KD People understand |
[quote author=Putindbutt The point being made is that...even though it's a wellcomed gesture...N200million for each of the 23 players(Each oo) and N100 million for each of the 11 Technical crew...(Totalling about 5billion as give-away) appears like an Overkill and a sign of Political desperation from the President... ...because Police retirees and others are crying and dying over their Pensions.(Police oo.)! It's good to reward and honour the girls....despite their regular allowances...but all that money and N75 million Naira Bungalow for each person, bros, e no too much? Shouldn't Tinubu eschew politics and learn to manage and dispense our resources accordingly? N50 million for each player,N25 million for technical crew is more like it. We are not a Nation of squanderers and wasters.Baba should lead by example |
Tjra:But Southern Kaduna,Adamawa and the entire middle-belt and FCT is Peter Obi's main Stronghold naa... How will they "respond" again to Obi? What has changed? Has Tinubu improved their lives or made it worse?(Plateau,Benue,Nassarawa, etc) Just guess... |
This news is not true... I believe it is designed to give hope to some people about Tinubu's chances in the North(cos Northerners are up in arms against the President. And Kwankwaso is even the latest Northern Leader leading the North against Tinubu) So how come this news....if no bi fake news.... ....may be designed to get engagements on Nairaland |
adamusuleiman1:Now use your number 6; the operative words are... "Threatened" not "Actually did". "Homeless" or "Destitutes" or "Beggars" not "Law abiding Nigerians" But Reno must find a way to spin the yarn around PO. See? |
Arabk25:Don't mind the bigots... They'll always fail. Imagine the attempt to really rub it in our online space here. Those who enjoy playing Ethnicised politics in Nigeria will hope to cash in on this matter to run it in. But it'll backfire |
stuffs2002:Who rigged it for him? With which rigging structures( Police,INEC,NYSC or who?) Did any Igbo governor or Political leader ever supported Peter Obi? All the governor's were battling to deliver their states to either Tinubu or Atiku or at least Garner 25% for their candidates, still Peter Obi thrashed them... ...just as in Edo,Delta,Benue,Rivers,Taraba,Adamawa,Kaduna,Plateau,Lagos,Nassarawa,FCT and many many states... In 2027,his margin of Victory will daze Tinubu. E get why. |
Slytiger:It's possible "Dem plenty die" but who're these people? Is there any notable individual who ever said "Lagos is a no man's Land"?I can bet you my last dime that nobody can ever point at a recognisable Igbo making such statements!Never!! But I believe one or two faceless mischief makers on social media or on the streets of Lagos may have made statements sounding like that.In any case that's not even how they meant it; they meant to state that Lagos being the Federal Capital Territory in the past has become the cosmopolitan city for all Nigerians. But since the desperate APCists are bent on do-or-die politics in order to keep ruling Lagos by all means, they twisted, distorted and latched onto this disinformation to manipulate and divide voters along ethnic and rigious lines. If not, point out which recognisable Igbo said that. |
amaridigital:Bro,listen carefully.... Without money, without structures Peter Obi defeated Tinubu at key Tinubu's strongholds, including at Aso Rock and at the APC chairman's state. So don't over exaggerate moneybag politics. And stop exaggerating Tinubu's political "cunny".Peter Obi is a deadlier strategiest than Tinubu.Beware. Now the only Political machinery in the North which helped Tinubu Garner votes are rooting for Peter Obi(Coalition or not). When you add that political fortunes to Peter Obi's growing popularity will it be wise to ascribe absolute victory to Tinubu? It ain't wise bro |
Morenikeji090:Which "Idiotic people"? How dare you? Anyway Can you name one single person who actually said "Lagos is no man's Land" Can you point at one single non-Lagosian who ever made that exact comment. You'll learn the power of divisive and manipulative politics....using propaganda and you'll learn it the hard way! Mention the person(not the faceless ones like you on the social media oo) If you can't point at one single person then.... ...then... |
Now Listen, all of you.... Most of you...regardless of your Education....as long as you are a Black African...you remained narrow-minded,primitive and clannish... ..wether Igbo,Yoruba,Twi,Zulu,Hausa,Kikuyu,Hụtụ or Edo! Not all black Africans but 80% are unrefined and UNCIVILISED in thoughts and worldview...even our professors! Now how does an individual acquiring 50 acres of land to provide housing for his tribesmen amount to an attempt to dominate the entire Ghana? How does his self-proclaimed ceremonial title as the leader of his kinsmen illicit such fear of dominance by an entire country of over 60 million people.May be the Ghanians have been inspired by the festering culture of Igbophobia/Nigerophobia spread through social media home and abroad! But some Igbos sef.... Anyways, are there no China towns with Ethnic Chinese leaders in them all over the world?.Ditto for other Ethnic groups with their enclaves in major world cities worldwide. Why are the Oyibo natives of the host countries not complaining? An Igbo or Yoruba Are often city mayors, county leaders, etc in Oyibo countries. In fact a Kenyan was President of the USA.Why are the Oyibos not complaining? Igbos,Yorubas win Elections in Oyibo countries, but they won't allow it in their native lands! The curse of the Black Africa;Petty,narrow-minded,primitive.But they're good in blowing grammar! Tufia! Then as for you Igbos outside Igboland....some of you can overdo...when some of you overdo, it affects the others.Your so called "success"or "enterprising"spirit as a tribe tends to make you look down on your hosts. In fact even the Igbos that do not have shishi tends to believe they're Superior to any non-Igbo.What kind of illness is that? #Collective megalomania#( One of those curses of the black African) foolish and crude! Who're you without your hosts? You're not in any way better than them! Behave or continually receive hostility; Learn to be sensitive to the sensibilities of your hosts (for those of you guilty of this) Thank God Ohanézè is nipping the situation in the bud but they need to do more; Now fellow Nigerians...especially Yorubas and Igbo...Learn to understand and appreciate yourselves.Stop running down yourselves before foreigners or your common enemies. When foreign countries start deporting:it's all Nigerians that'll go! Afterall,it'sAll Nigerians or African tribes that are equally involved in prostitution, fraud, drug trafficking, human trafficking, etc so the host countries. Closet Religious bigots and Ethnic champions secretly promoting hate, remember; we have laws that'll soon teach you a lesson. Jukwa ese. |
Sirianese:Exactly what happened... They've been working on him since January(Even before the Coalition started). Now jungle come mature |
TimeManager:TimeManager, illusions de grandeur and hallucinatory idealism is your major weakness on this Forum.Learn to be realistic and truthful to yourself...at least sometimes. Now have you forgotten What Peter Obi did to the most powerful and most popular APC chairman in history.... Adamu Abdullahi. Obi Summarily defeated him in his State,LGA,Ward and polling unit.Obi won Nassarawa, remember? Even without "structures"oo Now Obi is gathering support structures here and there and you think it's Yilwatda Nantawe that can challenge him? Who is Yilwatda? Not even Kwankwaso as we expected? Now Instead of you to start worrying about Nantawe's capacity to face Peter Obi in 2027 you are there day-dreaming as you normally do. You better start worrying oo |
sleek214:If you think they are working for Atiku Then you don't understand ambitious Politicians...especially these ones; Each of them secretly aspires to be President one day; an Atiku presidency means they'll never ever be President! How? If Atiku becomes President in two years time...and rule for 8 years, has ten years not gone? Then another Southern President takes over from Atiku and rule for...say...another 8 years, hasn't 18 years gone on their ambitions? If you add 18 yrs to their current ages of mid-60s won't they be almost in their 90s when another opportunity will come to them? They believe that if they can ensure Obi keep to his Promise of one term, then 2031 is a better time to actualise their ambitions. Got it? |
Silasworld:So.. ...to wish good luck to our National team is "Politics"? How? Where is the political statement there? Speak..make I hear. |
sleek214:Why are you disturbing yourself...trying to dissuade Obi and his supporters?Trying to "demoralise" them? If you truly know that Obi can't beat Tinubu(even though you saw what Obi did to Tinubu in the last elections) why bothering to "discourage" him or his supporters. Ignore them if you can But wait oo,why do you choose to make refference only on you Datti and leaving out El-Rufai,Malami,Sule Lamido,Babangida Aliyu and even Tambuwal who're all falling over themselves to work with Obi. Northern Political leaders want Tinubu gone and only with Peter Obi can they do it.And they already know his electoral antecedent. All Peter Obi needs from the far North is just 3-4 million votes and 25% in Jigawa,Kebbi,Borno,Bauchi,Gombe and Niger states, that's all. Better start preparing for a Peter Obi presidency, trust me |
flokii:Flokii, did you say that it was "the greed of Ojukwu to annex Yorubaland that #lead to the Civil war#? What a shame bro!! To think that some like-minded Ignoramuses are even "liking" such dangerously silly mis-information! Anyway....in summary...the Civil war was caused by the Federal govt refusing the "Biafran" region to form a separate country!! The Biafran Leaders needed a separate sovereign country to offer a sanctuary to millions of Easterners(Igbos,Anangs,Efiks,Ijaws,Ikwerres, etc) who were being massacred daily by Hausa-fulani millitias and backed by the Federal govt in the North. The Northerners were massacring the Easterners in "Revenge" for a coup they called "An Igbo" Coup( Which they later admitted was a wrong notion; according to IBB,OBJ,Gowon,Sa'ad Abubakar, etc) Now You have learnt the cause of the War; As for Victor Banjo,he was Ojukwu's most trusted and brilliant commander; After successful campaigns...winning Territories....as he was about to Enter and capture the Federal Capital Territory which was Lagos...so as to arrest Gowon and bring the war to a quick end,his Yoruba brothers bought him over. Ojukwu and Easterners felt betrayed; the second time. The First betrayal was when Ojukwu released Awolowo from Calabar Prison so he can come and mobilise his People so that Southern Nigeria will be separated from the rustic Northern Nigeria. Awolowo returned home and joined the government of Gowon as the Finance and co-ordinating minister of the country....working with the same Northern hegemonist he hated....and marshalling out plans and strategies and international collaborations on how to....to...defeat the Easterners! So Flokii, please always get proper knowledge of histories and issues before coming to comment here so we can all enjoy the engagements. Thanks |
Firebox123:Wellcome to this forum,Firebox123... Please always ensure you are properly informed and grounded in knowledge before any arguements here.... And your comments must be engaging, mature and not less than 40 characters; Now take this; the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway did not pass through any SouthEastern states. Scratch that |
CoronaVirusPro:Is this what you have finally become? Political Extremism and intolerance is reaching a dangerous level and you are supporting it? PowerDrunk elements are being permited in our Political system and you are supporting it?? If you are not a child, you should know the consequences of these things... ...usually,one day, you'll be the victims too. See? |
Tjra:Tjra,it's like you're one of those who only come to Nairaland just to troll with sarcastic quips and retorts and one line inanity just to enjoy a few "likes" from impressionable young lads... Please We want to be enjoying your comments on Nairaland so try to be sounding robust, mature and engaging. Thanks |
yarimo:By making comments like this you are saying that there's nothing like Fulani Kidnappers! You are saying that all those victims of Fulani kidnappers, all those eye witness of the activities of Fulani kidnappers are all lies, right? Listen, everyone knows that Kidnappers in Nigeria are of all Nigerian ethnic groups but comments like these implies that there are no Fulani Kidnappers in Nigeria and the SE. Is that what you are implying? What inspires you to always make subversive comments like this? All the time. |
stuffs2002:But before he became the "Ceremonial" President...he was the #Governor General#...just as Lord Lugard or MacPherson.... with complete powers as the head of state...ruling as he pleased Bet you didn't know that before.Google it and come back here. |
CyracksMrBlogger:Guy dey calm down... You should be asking yourself why Obi's political opponents are always desperate to make it appear like Obi is wrong...but they end up exposing their own follies. Can't you see here that the Brewery is said to be generating 28 million monthly? Multiply that by 12 months in a year;(i.e N336million a year) Then multiply again by two years(2023&2024)... ...almost N700million. Now compare that with the about N600million their "highest" payer(Fidelity Bank) generated in the same two years!! Even though the Bank is equally Obi's bank. So always remember that in Politics, darkness will always want to swallow light! |
abbey621:Electoral victories or Political advantage goes hand in hand with Numerical strength! How many are Yorubas or Hausas in the SouthEast. Out of a probable population of a Total of 25 million People living in the 5 SE states,Yorubas are not up to 60,000 in the entire SE!! less than 0.01%! How do you expect them to hope to contest elections. Nobody is stopping them if they give it a shot!! Now to the issue of "no man's land"; Just because a few ill-informed people...a few actually(even on Nairaland)...spoke carelessly in an attempt to remind people that Lagos, being a former FCT, is a melting pot of All Nigerians, does not mean that Trouble makers should start bandieng the lie that the entire Igbos sees Lagos as a "No man's land" It' is the Handiwork of divisive politics....using vile propaganda...that is pushing that narrative. Many are falling for it...you inclusive. Igbos do not see Lagos as "no man's Land" since time immemorial(That's why they don't contest for governorship post despite having the constitutional right and the numerical strength.GRV is not Igbo oo) So when divisive politicians take advantage of a misunderstood comment by one or two non-indigenes,this is what you get. See? |
richiemcgold:They're pained because they are seeing an unnecessary Ethnic witchhunt and a declaration of war on their people by a group of people with whom they've live with for decades before APC Politicians got clever by half.... They're pained because an unfounded, malicious and falacious narrative against them is being propagated by certain staunch bigots. They're pained because there's a needless expressions of fear...of them.Really needless Now what do you think? |
SoftSport:It was the Handiwork of a Local government chairman who happens to be an Ethnic bigot...not Sanwo-Olu. Anyways, the old names have already stuck with the people on ground See? |
richie240:What is "Respect your host"? Does "respect" mean that Igbos and their interests should not be seen and or heard. They should not live freely in their country? They should not buy properties? They should not vote and be voted for? They should not freely associate among themselves and have a leader in their various cultural and ethnic unions? Are you serious? How do they "Disrespect" their hosts? How? Instead of condemning what is wrong...as a Civilised person...you are there bringing shame to our collective humanity |
Reflect7:King of who? Are they Declaring themselves Kings of their hosts? No! They are only leaders of their own kinsmen United together in a host community? Na bad thing?? Hausas in all Igbo Towns and Villages have Sarkin Hausawa,Yorubas have Ọbá of Yoruba in Enugu State,Their Igbo hosts don't even think anything of it! Listen..people have rights to associate or congregate together in a Union, simple! The Unions must have leaders! Why do some of you have issues with Igbo unions and their leaders in host communities? Why the fear? Why the fear? |
