So qualifying for world cup is what makes a team formidable? If Nigeria was able to defeat "formidable" teams like Tunisia, Algeria and Egypt to win AFCON bronze, are they not formidable in their own rights? 4 years ago a middle eastern country with 99% Muslim population hosted the world.
