Revise staff job descriptions when necessary to increase efficiency and achievement of the organization’s goals, with input from staff and other appropriate resources. PLANT OPERATOR Description of the position: • To monitor and operate all field equipment in a safe and efficient manner ensuring uninterrupted and efficient operation, in compliance with Company and HSE standards, policies and procedures. • To respond immediately to plant process upsets/emergencies, which can include gas and fires etc. holder of this position is normally the first person to observe and react to any field equipment abnormalities. Principal Responsibilities: 1. To be responsible for monitoring and ensuring the efficient operation of the plant and handling over to the incoming shift in a systematic and orderly manner. 2. To regularly patrol the plant and ensure that equipment is performing in the designed, safe manner and that standby spare equipment are available for immediate use if required. 3. To maintain accurate and timely log plant and equipment data closely follow their performance and raise timely work orders for correction when required. 4. To prepare and hand over equipment in a safe manner to maintenance staff for repair and take back in service after checks as per Work Permit procedure. 5.
