Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he plans to reinstate a ban on transgender individuals from serving "in any capacity" in the US armed forces.

The decision reversed a policy initially approved by the Defense Department under President Barack Obama, which was still under final review, that would allow transgender individuals to openly serve in the military. Defense Secretary James Mattis announced last month that he was delaying enactment of the plan to begin allowing transgender individuals to join the US military.

"After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow Transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military," Trump said in a series of tweets Wednesday morning. "Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail."
Thank you," he added.

A Saudia L-1011 plane departs for Karachi, but returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia due to an in-flight fire that broke out soon after departure.
The plane landed safely, reached the end of the runway, sat there for 3 minutes with engines running and no attempt to evacuate.
Soon a flash fire consumed all the 301 passengers and crew members on board

A bomb planted by a fundamentalist blew up an Air India 747 en route from Bombay to Toronto.
The airplane crashed and fell into the sea on the eastern side of Ireland.
All 329 passengers and crew were killed in the crash.
The crash was blamed on shortcomings of the baggage screening system

4. MARCH 3, 1974 TURKISH AIRLINES
Considered to be one of the most gruesome plane crashes of all times, a Turkish Airlines DC-10 crashed near Orly airport in the woods northeast of Paris when a badly designed cargo door burst, caused depressurization of the cabin and led to the crash.
All 346 passengers and crew were killed.

3. NOVEMBER 12, 1996 ILYUSHIN IL-76 CARGO PLANE AND A SAUDIA 747

An Ilyushin IL-76 cargo plane and a Saudia 747 collide in mid air near New Delhi, India.
A total of 349 people were aboard the two planes and all of them perished in this disaster.
The cause of the crash was the fact that the Kazakh plane did not follow instructions

A Japan Air Lines 747 crashed soon after takeoff from Tokyo near Mt.Fuji.Apparently, there was a rupture in an aft bulkhead seven years earlier in a mishap and this had not been corrected properly even after undergoing repairs.This led to the crash which eventually killed 520 people

1. MARCH 27, 1977 KLM AND PAN AM


The KLM plane collided with the Pan AM plane (both Boeing 747s) in foggy weather at Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands. 583 people were reported dead from this incident. The KLM jet seemed to have departed without permission and there was confusion over instructions given over radio.
