This Rivers election really pained both the Obidient and Atiku’s camp. They can feel it already in their bones that Rivers is gone to APC already. Whatever happened in Borno State when Shettima was State Governor during PGEJ administration is completely different from the issues that occured in Rivers State.

The case of Rivers State has a State Governor having two different State Assembly headed by two different speakers.
Those on the side of the Fubara are just four members including his Speaker as recognize him. Those against him are seventeen including the Speaker.

So with this we have to be told which of the houses/gatherings is the legitimate for passing of budgets and screening of commissioners nominees to be appointed and others which falls under the purview of the State Assembly.


The courts has done justice to that and the rest is history.

Fubara miscalculated, his government would have been far more positively impartful than Wike's because that was Wike's intention of making him Governor so that he will be supported by his influence as a right hand man of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But, Fubara ended up befriend the politicians who are enemies of the people of Rivers State.

There is no doubt that the people of Rivers State see Wike as a man of honor and majority are very loyal to him.
