My first render this year.... hurray!! finally!! after 3 days of intense work...

Happy New Month Blender geeks.. hey Tos87, Kuzana, Bluemagnificient, Wilsonreuben, Shimish, ladanski, jjamani, preboy and many others who are blender users saying a big hello to you all>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Happy rendering......... starting this month by posting one of my renders later.... its a Scifi render i did two days ago... @tos87 damn.. That u final render took me off my feet. Nice.. This ur post drew me back from school to nairaland... As in am stunned... But will try and join for dis competition just because u have inspired me... The texturing, the realism is just spot on. Could see some DOF.

yeah I know.. Its just a working progress.... I am still working on the scene.. Presently there is no focus.. I wanted to use the rule of thirds but just wanted to get view concerning the image... But tanks..

I don't know if you have something to say on this.
Am working on a floor, I have added all the textures I have(diffuse,normal,specularity, and crack) I got them from blender guru achi packs.
believe me I followed his procedure. His own comes out fine but mine doesn't. The normal and the crack doesn't show on the plane. I have done everything I could, replayed the tutorial yet I arrive at the same point.
I thinking if it has to do with Blender version... just a guess.

Don't know what else to think. need help.

hmmmm.... I remember I once suffered that.... Its due to lack of the displacement modifier... U need to add more geometry by subdividing the plane several times and add a displace modifier.. Go to displace textures and load in the disp- texture.. Will send some pics from my render on how I added the little cracks.. Maybe it will help more

someone help me out oh . . . my system is refusing to install blender. it is a windows 8.1 device and it just keeps bringing up the message below.

which bit of system are you using? 64 or 32bit... And try installing the correct bit

@tos87 sorry my network is just misbehaving... I have small time to send but its not going thru.. Its saying error... But will keep on trying sha...

@ Luvcherish.. I would recommend adobe after effects for the work.. I can assist small.. But I would like to know details of the work maybe I could really be of help.. But no guarantees but in my little time let me see wat I can do...

@tos no probs i will try and use 1500 samples to render it.. for the pic i uploaded on nl was with 200 samples

and guys please drop you emails let me send some grass model from the grass essentials pack to you. i will send 1 grass model and one weed model + texture. not the free model that Andrew price used in his tutorial but a model i paid for. so if you are able to download andrew price free grass model and the 1 i will send make your models 2..

@Tos87 cool design but looking at the cave.. it seems like u didn't use displacement maps, specularity map and some grunge texture to add more realism... but its good sha.. love the scene... did you use the golden ratio or the rule of thirds for the scene set up?

@ cupid makehuman is good... But I think it is better to try learning sculpting urself... The scenes I created were terrible before but due to gigs of tutorials I've learnt and also from experience for the past 6months of leaning blender which is my first 3D software.... Before I went into zbrush, cinema 4D and other softwares... Really I would like to ask what exactly do u want to be as a blender user? Animationist? Photographic designer including architectural designs? Game designer or what precisely? That will help you better in your journey in blender.. And please try and make sure u render a new scene every week and try and post it for critics and comments on how to make it better
