In attack, as for the fullback roles, we have Kennedy and caudruado who can play these positions effectively when they are recalled from loans. I think we just need a world class right winger who can also give us double digit goals every season, I feel we are not getting enough goals from that position and hazard needs to improve his goals and assist ratios on the left. We have a lot of midfielders who are performing excellently right now on loans. We have Mario pasalic in AC Milan, chalobah here with us, Marko van ginkel(psv), nathan(vitesse), ake (Bournemouth) and some more banging goals left and right. They are constantly scoring goals. We just need maybe 1 world class left-footed midfielder to replace not supplement matic. In all, we don't need to worry much, the future is bright. |

We are quite thin on the bench but I don't think we need to spend too much. I don't like the fact that we are being linked with a lot of defenders. Azpi has proven to be a very decent center back, he is so versatile and effective, we have Brana, Terry and zouma on the bench in case of emergencies. Very soon Christensen will be back, so we are spoiled for choice in defence. |

Mauricio Pochettino has referenced his Tottenham side’ performance at Stamford Bridge on 26 November as a turning point of sorts in the season. They had been positive for the first 45 minutes and the manager felt that it showed they were over their Champions League exit. But they still lost, as everybody has done to Chelsea in the league over the past three months. Tottenham are in form and this could be wild. Can they stop the Chelsea juggernaut? See China ooo! Which kain money dey dat country abeg This will stun the Premier League: £80m Chelsea raid could be on the cards CHINESE club Tianjin Quanjian are eyeing an incredible £80m swoop for Chelsea striker Diego Costa. The Sun claim Tianjin have already had a £50m offer snubbed by the Blues. And it's suggested the 28-year-old could earn £480,000-a-week if he decides to move to the Far East. A source told The Sun: "Costa's agent Jorge Mendes was working on the deal for Tianjin but Chelsea said no to the bid. The Chinese Super League's biggest names “Diego Costa is wanted by Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian” "It was around £50m and wages of £480,000-a-week would have put him among the highest earners in the world. "At the moment, the club are seriously thinking about going back in with a much-improved offer. "They're thinking about £80m would be more than right for a player his age. "Costa is Brazil-born and the Chinese believe Brazilian footballers are best suited to their league. |

If Manchester United beat Middlesbrough this will be a fifth successive Premier League win for José Mourinho’s in-form side. Two seasons have passed since United last did the same number. In the sole golden run under Louis van Gaal, the February-April period of the 2014-15 season, United won six consecutive league games and offered an outside chance of the title before defeat at Chelsea, the eventual champions. The manager of the west Londoners then? Mourinho. Jamie Jackson

See Mikel ooo. Make him better pack him bag Waka! Antonio Conte couldn’t seem less interested in Mikel so a January exit would be the most sensible scenario, especially with Mikel’s Chelsea contract ending in the summer. L’Equipe believe Chelsea would happily let Mikel leave during the winter transfer window, for nothing, and yet still the cost of the deal is putting clubs off. Andoni Zubizarreta has held several meetings with Chelsea and also with Mikel’s representatives, but the track is cooling for the Marseille director of sport. It’s claimed that’s because the Chelsea player is being ‘very greedy’ in his wage demands, and there’s also several intermediaries all trying to get a slice of the transfer for themselves. As it stands, Marseille are happier to walk away from signing the Chelsea player rather than submit to his demands and then have to get involved in a mess of agents. |

Antonio Conte was dismissive of Arsène Wenger’s suggestion that the title is already Chelsea’s to lose, but will face Stoke seeking a 13th successive league win and conscious that his team are favourites. “I’m pleased if people are changing their opinions (of us),” he said. “But that means you must pay even more attention.” Standards must not slip here. Stoke drew at Stamford Bridge and twice triumphed at home against the Londoners last term. They represent distinctly awkward opposition. Dominic Fifield
