gurren may be too much of a fantasy...that seems to take the word 'impossible' too extremely. Kill la kill was great...and I like the opening with the kid trying to steal and escape with the school uniform.

Aldnoah Zero had a great first season. Season 2 was horrible.

Realized I never reviewed Gundam Unicorn. An
8.6/10 for me.

People tend to have the dislike and have the misconception that mech anime are all about the mechs and not the world, politics and character struggles with the mechs just being weapons in this world.

Unicorn serves as a conclusion to the Universal Century (original) timeline, you can still enjoy it without watching the previous Gundam iterations.

Has good animations, more old school character designs and sound tracks by Hiroyuki Sawano.
Sawano and Aimer even made an album based on this series called un:child.

Same old moral ambiguity of war and destruction, whiny teenagers, politics of the oppressive earth federation and fascist Zeon spacenoid terrorist/revolutionaries common in the Gundam universe.

Every subscription service we use (except Netflix) eventually suddenly stops supporting the debit cards we to pay. Them we have to run around looking for how to pay. Crunchyroll flat out rejected a bunch of cards, Apple music has declined my card for past three days now even though I've been using that card for months.

At the end of the day piracy remains the most convenient way to get your fix of entertainment. It sucks but that's the reality. I'm done chasing these companies with my money.

Copyright laws on western music, tv sites and movies have always been strict but we still pirate them. Anime will be fine.

those crazy producers do not know that a method of beating piracy is to do a better job of what piracy is doing...for example

1. accept convenient methods of payments: let d users choose their methods of payments

2. Make their sites accessible on all platforms.

3. Provide low filesize and high quality videos (mkv, most of the time)...for folks with limited data subscriptions.

4. Provide No 3 for a discounted subscription for those who 'should' afford it.

5. Provide free contents from time to time.

If the producers cannot do, for starters, all the above...no matter all the copyright laws they put in place..piracy will always have a way to circumvent it..though it may take a while..but it'll definitely get done!

This will allow relative department to take action against illegal
