An holy book that contradicts itself is totally useless, and as such, any God that insists that that is the way he will communicate with all of humanity, is high on divine weed. or, more realistically, is a figment of human imagination.

When the disciples were killed and taken to heaven, doesn't that scenario fits into the description you just posted? Peter was crucified upside down and killed, his spirit was was saved from further evil and brought safely to God's heavenly kingdom, do you agree? This is the meaning. ..Why will God save you from being persecuted or killed for preaching the gospel and still take you immediately to his heavenly kingdom? You just copy and paste without seeking to understand the scripture that's why you end up confused. .
Like I stated earlier, Jesus specifically told us to flee to the next town when being persecuted for preaching the gospel. ..So why did he say so if there was a guarantee?

So, you can open another thread and ask Christians why they choose to suffer persecution for Christ.

Thats the point. None of those passages he quoted were specific but I showed you a passage that states clearly that there is no guarantee.. .Infact we were advised to run when being persecuted or about to be killed for preaching the gospel. .Whether we choose to run or not is solely dependent on us.

Matt 10: 21-23.

First of all, don't get it twisted. .Your thread is based on why God allow someone to be killed while preaching right? I guess you are now satisfied with the answer.. If you want to ask other questions, accept first that you have been cleared on this one (in which you created the thread for) then we can move forward. WTF . . . you guys are so full of crap. your holy book has almost 10 different verses explicitly claiming that God will always protect those who believe in him. several more claiming that he never breaks his promises, even several more claiming that he will do WHATEVER his followers ask of him.

but hey, let's just put a little caveat that DIRECTLY contradicts the claims of NO CONDITIONS, so that the people pushing our propaganda get something to lean on when they get backed into a tight logical corner.

There is no guarantee that you will be saved from death when being persecuted for preaching the gospel. .If there was a sure guarantee why did Jesus Christ advise that we flee to the next town when being persecuted if there is a guarantee?

yes he has the power to save but remember that he chooses who He saves...Preaching the gospel is not for the faint hearted rather it is for people who have determined that they are willing to bare the consequences even if it means death.. The disciples were persecuted and killed, but they didn't relent rather they continued to preach the word of God and face the consequences. ..Stephen was caught and killed, Paul was caught several times but God saved him severally until God decided that Paul's work was done.. .Thats how He operates that's why there isn't any guarantee....The Bible has stated it clearly so if you chose to continue, so be it.. 2Tim3:12. Thats what I explained in my post.. Jesus Christ has already confirmed it that when you preach the gospel you will be persecuted or killed.. He didn't tell us that God the father will deliver such person.. .If God wishes to save you, so be it.. If he sees that your time is up and you should come home and rest, so be it but there was never a guarantee that all who are persecuted because they preached the gospel will be protected or saved by God. Remember also, that Jesus even advises that such person flee to the next town when he senses trouble or about to be prosecuted for preaching. .If you fail to flee, you can't blame God.. Simple!

in my church,*name undisclosed*the pastor uses a phone to read bible....but I wish to ask if it's morally right for a pastor to use a phone to read bible while preaching...

it maybe ignored if it was being used by a member,but we are talking about a pastor here,who stands by the pulpit to preach the word of God...but instead of the bible,he uses a phone...

There is nothing wrong with it as long as the word of God is being preached and the message is passed to the members. ..It is all about convieniece.. .. Remember that the original word of God were written in very big scrolls and not Bible..The Bible was done because it is convenient and easy to carry around. ..Same with e Bible now, so if you want to criticize the man, go and carry the real word of God written in scrolls up and down when going to church and see if you will be comfortable.

Yes, but Jesus told us clearly that we shall be persecuted for his sake, for preaching the word of God..Persecution also includes death.. This is already a warning to those that are ready to take this task.
Don't forget that Jesus also advised us that when preaching we can flee when trouble or persecution comes in Matt 10: 21-23..He never assured you that God will come down and kill anyone that persecutes you.

I have heard many cases of God's word preachers who have been killed, slaughtered and brutally mutilated while preaching or on other duties in respect to biblical God's commandment. Many were burnt alive while withing the church premises praying and praising God, many captured and were easily slaughtered, many were captured within their own house, raped and eventually killed and many more cases like that.

Seriously, all these occurrences left me with one critical question that has been dominating my mind for years, that why would God keep silent while such horrific murder is being unleashed on his consistent servant ? Why can't God, weather spiritually or physically, prevent such tragedy, to at least encourage other worshipers and consolidate the believe that God is truly mighty as it is being claimed. Preventing such tragedy, to me, has the efficacy of preventing many people from waking up one day and start thinking at all weather God exist or not.
Should we say our so called popular pastors, knows that there is no divine assistance they can enjoy while facing assassinating temptation and that is why most of them move all around with sophisticated security outfit...

I beg, rational whosiper should come to my rescue in answering this question ooo...
