GavelSlam: How can poverty be rising in a place filled with developers?
Poverty is rising because pikin wey say him mama no go sleep himself no go sleep.
You cannot continue to agitate, burn properties of non-indegenes, mount roadblocks with burnfires and expect "CIS" would improve.
It's not possible.
The state as well suffers and they must look further inwards.
Obiano, please increase IGR by raising tax Citizens income is so high in Anambra that the poorest man can feed ten families in the south west. Please use your high IGR to feed those who cut genitals to sell in Ogbomosho due to extreme hunger |

Blue3k: The number of poor people increasing by what metric. How did you calculate this? Those UN stats don't show that to be case. I'm pretty sure you don't have proof. When yorubas slaughter yorubas because of money ritual and you are here asking how I know poverty increased? Step out in yorubaland at night and your genitals will be on the front page tomorrow while one alfa will be paraded to have harvested your kiniko |

Cis kor cid ni Try again, this poo is poo Your attempt to stop the truth will not work. CIS is the true measure of economic wellbeing of the people. IGR helps only Tinubu bank accounts. |

GrandFinale2017: EternalTruths are u bringing this opinion because the whole of five states in the South East can't measure up to the IGR of Ogun state? No, he is bringing up the thread because despite the billions of dollars declared in IGR, Ogun state citizens still kill people to make more money. Then what is the use of the useless data |

Politics › Re: Why CIS And Not IGR Should Be The Focus Of Government by DrGoodman: 11:22am On Oct 29, 2017 |
Rmxr: Lol this is nonsense. If a state is able to generate good IGR, then she'll be able to put down infrastructure to aid development. Citizens, no matter how much they have won't build infrastructure. It's like driving a Lamborghini on a terrible road. Pointless. I know you're saying it because eastern states can't generate IGR due to low economic activity, but just stop this make me feel good nonsense. It's not like the citizen income in the East is high. You can only bobo those who haven't been there. They are all market states. Trade alone can't improve an economy Lies. Citizens do build infrastructure in Igboland. It's only in very poor regions like the south west that only government builds all infrastructure and even feeds their families with free rice |
Politics › Re: Nigeria’s Senate And Its Basket Of Empty Probes by DrGoodman: 10:41am On Oct 29, 2017 |
Op, apologies for my being blunt, but I think you are a coward.
Will anyone slap you if you lay the blame at the appropriate quarters? The duty of the Senate is to make laws and not institute impotent investigative committees as you rightly put it, what you have listed out are mere symptoms.
The main disease is the rottenness of the executive arm of government whose duty it is to fight corruption and prosecute offenders. This arm has gone to sleep. Unfortunately we didn't elect the Senate president directly. We elected buharri because we thought he could give us a good account of anything but he has failed woefully.
The billions dug up from every corner of Nigeria has been forgotten on the rat infested office.
Blame the executive for the problems in the legislature. |

Politics › Re: My Police Story - Worth Reading by DrGoodman: 9:24am On Oct 29, 2017*. Modified: 10:39am On Oct 29, 2017 |
My own case is different The first real slap I received as a small boy of 13 years was from a Nigerian policeman. He nearly slapped out my jaw for jumping out of a moving bus when I forgot something at home. What a way to correct a child. Then policemen arrested me with my cassette which I just bought as a teen. They extorted me and took money from me which made me sour for months. Policemen so much tormented me while driving my first old jalopy vehicle as they claimed the documents are bad. I had to sell the car after several months of harassment and extortion. Can I start counting the millions of illegal arrests, the illegal detentions, torture and killing of innocent civilians. Bribery now has a face, it's the face of a black and black wearing policeman on the road. I pay for my security, employ guards for my house and street, and you still want me to pay school fees for policemen who only looks to extort money from me? You are not serious. |
Politics › Re: Maina: Buhari’s Critics ‘extremely Unreasonable’- Sagay by DrGoodman: 9:23am On Oct 29, 2017 |
Throwback: The Buhari we thought we were campaigning for to become president and rescue Nigeria from the brink and who claimed that if we do not destroy corruption it will destroy Nigeria, that Buhari is a Ninja-turtle compared to this slow and sluggish tortoise, accommodator and facilitator of corruption.
Those who trekked to celebrate his victory did not do so for this rubbish, this aloof and unresponsive presidency.
I refuse to accept that this is all we could get from a man who many risked and staked a lot to put into power.
He already gave a glimpse of his docile and sluggish approach when he went napping while the APC caucus of the National Assembly were waiting to meet him upon his own invitation, rather than be at the Senate chamber for their swearing in and election of principal officers. A grave mistake that led to Saraki and a bloody PDP Ekweremadu taking leadership from a sleeping party.
6 months to appoint ministers who have only ensured the failure of the government?
The Buhari brand is finished.
If he has no control or knowledge of happenings in his own government, he should resign and spare us this mockery. Unfortunately for you, wailers form is finished. |
