That Peter Obi didn't conduct local government election earlier, does it take away that it was a wrong thing. None conduct of local government election is a general issue amongst state governors and all the past and present are guilty as charged. They all monopolized the local government administration to their whims and caprices. The only governor I can fairly exonerate is Elrufai, he was the only one that I saw that conducted an open local government election and opposition won some local government areas. The rest have been sham and jamboree. Meaning what is the benefit of conducting local government election, when oppositions will not have a breathing space, even if they win, the state SIEC will announce the ruling party candidate.
As at today by Punchng newspaper about 19 states have no democratically elected officials at the local government level. Since 1999, Anambra state have only conducted 2 local government elections. Obiano didn't conduct and Soludo has not done too and that is how it goes round.
You guys should be calming down an use common sense. We were in this country, when Obanikoro's son won outrightly a local government election in Lagos and the LSIEC announced the ruling party candidate. Can we say that one is an election or selection? And funnily if they go to court, the court will still say, the person announced was the winner.

There's something about that LGA that no matter how saintly you are, when you get to power, you will surely compromise it. If Reno is a governor tomorrow, he won't conduct too and same you.

You don't need all these long stories because I never disagree with you that other governors are not guilty. So you telling me two right cannot make a wrong is not necessary.
