What model is it. The problem is likely from your network selection mode. You might've set it to manual instead of automatic. Yes, they can do everything as a laptop of same features bt different size can do. I even prefer them cz they r more mobile friendly. Only 'drawback' is the small screen size when seeing a movie ( which doesn't count since I enjoy movies on my BB) and no DVD drive ( for which u cn create bootable ISOs if need be).
