Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, the alleged billionaire kidnapper arrested recently, appeared in a Lagos court for the third time on Friday, November 3.

Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, was brought to the court with five of his alleged accomplices by heavily armed security agents at about 9:29 am.

He and the five others are currently standing trial before Justice OH Osodi of the Lagos state High Court sitting in Ikeja.

It is noteworthy that Evans continued to look confident in court as he smiled to his lawyer while they both had discussions.

At the time of this report, Evans and his alleged accomplices were in criminal court 18.

ntonio Conte's Chelsea turned the Premier League title race into a procession in his first season, but worrying cracks are appearing that threaten to fatally undermine the current campaign.

The Stamford Bridge club accrued 93 points -- the second-highest tally in the Premier League era -- to finish seven points clear of nearest challengers Tottenham Hotspur and a whopping 15 ahead of Manchester City in 2016-2017.

But this term they are nine points adrift of pacesetters Manchester City, with three defeats already -- the same as they suffered in the whole of last season.

Now the 2012 European champions are licking their wounds after an embarrassing 3-0 Champions League pummelling by Roma.

So what's gone wrong?

A. Lack of signings

But moves for several targets failed to come off.

England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opted for Liverpool and Spanish striker Fernando Llorente elected to move to London rivals Tottenham, while Ross Barkley stayed at Everton.

Perhaps most gallingly of all, striker Romelu Lukaku chose Manchester United over a return to his former club.

Conte expressed his frustration at Chelsea's failure to land some of his top transfer targets, but made clear he had no intention of walking out.

B. Matic mistake?

Chelsea have been widely criticised for allowing defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic to join former boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

Despite a strong-looking midfield roster that includes Bakayoko, Cesc Fabregas and N'Golo Kante, Matic's loss has been felt, particularly given that Kante has missed a chunk of fixtures with a hamstring injury.

The Lagos Federal High Court on Tuesday, October 31, sentenced one Owolabi Oluwayemisi Modinat, to ten years in jail for attempting to traffic drugs. 56 year-old Owolabi was arrested at the Murtala Mohammad Airport, Lagos, by the National Drug Laws Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) with about 330 grammes of cocaine during outward clearance of Qatar Airways flight to Saudi Arabia. The convict had earlier pleaded guilty when she was first arraigned before the court, and maintained her plea on Wednesday.

In urging the court to convict the mother of four, the NDLEA prosecutor, while reviewing the fact of the case, tendered the convict’s harmonized ECOWAS passport with number: 1808098653, an E-ticket and boarding pass as evidence.

Other evidence tendered by the prosecutor includes: three written statements of the convict, two request of scientific aid form, a drug analysing report, two evidence pouches, two transparent pouches containing bulk of the drug, two scientific report of the drug, and a sealed brown envelope with reference number:DEA/17/MM/013, which were admitted as exhibits.

A married woman and her lover died mysteriously on Sunday while having sex inside a car in Ogba, Ikeja area of Lagos State.

A witness said the man and his alleged mistress, said to be a married woman with kids, were reported to have driven to an area behind the Nigeria Institute of Journalism, NIJ, to engage in sex.

According to Premium Times, by the time passers-by saw them, the car engine was still running and the air conditioner was on and working, indicating they did not die of suffocation.

The witnesses raised alarm and reported to the police area command in the area whose officials arrived promptly.

When contacted, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the corpses had been taken to the mortuary.

A Nigerian man was beaten up and disgraced after he was caught red-handed eating feces while doing the new Yahoo plus. The guy identified as Junior Clement who claimed to come from Warri in Delta state - revealed during his interrogation that he was instructed by native doctor to eat feces after which anything he tells his client will happen without delay.

The man also revealed that the first one he did - didn't work as he's planning to bill another foreign client $55,000 (over N20 million).

He also disclosed that they were about four boys that visited the native doctor for the 'juju' and that the others have "made it"...

A video of a military helicopter allegedly hovering over the house of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has surfaced online.

The video was posted on Facebook on Wednesday, September 13, by Somto Okonkwo, who claims the military helicopter hovered over the house of Nnamdi Kanu for over two hours. Okonkwo who is described on his Facebook wall as: “Publisher at The Biafra Herald,” “Works at Radio Biafra,” and “Admin/Editor/Publisher at Radio Biafra London," alleged that the Nigerian army was still planning to attack the IPOB leader.

Meanwhile, a former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has condemned the reported military siege at the residence of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.

Fani-Kayode describing the action by the military as primitive, said Kanu and the people of the southeast have done nothing wrong to deserve such treatment.

A few hours after the Nigerian military had allegedly attacked the residence of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, he has narrated his own side of the story regarding the incident, vehemently asserting that the Nigerian Army had attacked his home in Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia State with the intention of ransacking it.

“I inquired to know what is happening after the siren of the military van woke me from my sleep. I was told that the army was coming to my house. I looked through the window of my bedroom towards the junction which is less than a 100km from here (his home). I saw their armored personnel carrier which drove past my house, turned around and came back. The Nigerian military came to my village to intimidate and harass innocent civilians who were unarmed. Their intention was to come and ransack my family home.”

“They started firing at people who were asking why they came to harass people who have done nothing to warrant such humiliation. They started firing indiscriminately. I was told there were casualties, I saw two people who were bleeding profusely. As it is the tradition of the Nigerian army, to carry the bodies of victims away, we prevented them from coming here to take the injured people.”

Kanu debunked the claim by the Police that those injured in the clash are being treated by the Police and further alleged that the military visited Federal Media Centre (FMC) where the three persons injured were receiving treatment to whisk them away.

“The injured persons were taken by Biafrans to the FMC, near his residence. The Nigerian army and Police have perfected the art of lying. Unfortunately, the Nigerian media has allowed them to get away with murder due to the complacency of the media. Nigeria is a dictatorship state where people are been pursued into their bedrooms and attacked.”

The Biafra leader insisted that Biafrans are peaceful but will respond if provoked by the Military.

“We are not fighting anybody and will remain peaceful people. Buratai and the Nigerian army are bringing war to us.”

Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, Former Minister of Aviation, has threatened to champion the break of Nigeria if the country is not restructured. Mr. Fani-Kayode insisted that restructuring of the country on a regional area is best for the country, and he also made it clear that he will not stop at anything until restructuring is achieved.

“It is a call for separation and call to exercise the right to leave the federation. We have been telling people to give Nigeria a chance but without restructuring, this country will break. That is why those that really want the unity of this country will want this. Let’s have a true federation and let’s treat every Nigerian equally," he said.

“If we don’t have restructuring, we will break off and I will advocate the breaking off of this country. My fear is that if we do not take the restructuring thing seriously and do something about it, it may be the end of this country," he upheld.

Mr. Fani-Kayode beckoned on Yorubas to demand restructuring as a form of reorganizing the country from the present country, claiming the Yoruba tribe deserved more than what they are getting from the country, especially the present administration.
