mahdino: In Islam we worship only Allah who is my lord and your lord. There is no religion on earth tha is strict descourage people from worshiping idol. Still u christians goes about saying muslims worship idols. U christians worship idols even the cross u have and the statues u put of Jesus don't u know that its capital idol worship. Muslim always say One God Allah just like Jesus said when he was on the cross ELA ELA meaning my God my God don't u see that it sounds like Allah Allah.

My dear brother, I am not fighting with you; am only trying to show you the Way and the Truth. Islam is a creation of Roman Catholic that went wrong. Mohammed was an unlearned man (no insult intended) used by Khadijat and Waraquah (both Roman Catholic) to achieve some feat. They (RC) gave him too much power and fame which he later used against them.

All his dreams and messages comes from supposed angels. No direct relationship with God or the Spirit of God. So I will not be surprised if Muslims see "angels" descending on the house of idols (kaaba).

All his dreams were given interpretations by Waraquah. (An emissary of RC).

Mohammed is dead and buried and his dead body cannot do anything for you and I

Mohammed was a warrior who killed thousands if not millions and could not give his life for anyone.

Mohammed was a slave master who enjoyed everything the flesh and the world could offer including women.

Mohammed never promised salvation of your soul but only give the little knowledge he got from the Christians, Jews and Roman Catholic (with the help of Waraquah) and twisted it to suit his and RC agenda.

Christianity EtcRe: In Jesus Name, All Knees Bow; In Mary's Name, What Happens? by Eben2: 5:05pm On Jul 25, 2013
My dear brothers and sisters,

Please allow me to make this little contribution.

RELIGION IS NOTHING BEFORE GOD BUT SALVATION THROUGHT THE CLEANSING BLOOD OF JESUS!

My Lord Jesus did not come to create a religion called Christianity or Catholicism; He came and died just for you and I John 10:10. We the beloved of God had willingly turned our back to our Creator and gave our dominion and God-given glory to satan. We decided to serve the devil and the lust of our flesh rather than the loving God.

Consequently, the righteous judgement of God was pronounced! Gen 2:17 "...for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die". So death (eternal separation from God) came because of sin. But because God loves us, not wanting us to die, gave His Son for the remission of our sins Rom 5:8; Lev 17:11; Heb 9:22b; Joh 3:16.

Therefore Jesus came, died and broke the middle wall of partition between man and God; those that believe of the Lord Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and savior are given victory over sin, made partakers of the lost glory and above all, become the sons and daughter of God and joint heirs with Christ. This means they have the same access that Christ has to God and can approach His throne of grace without fear. Math 27:51, Joh 1:12; “let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” Heb 4:16

It therefore means: no matter your religious believe or position, if you are not born-again i.e. saved and delivered from the claws of sin and satan, you have no part with God and God knows those that are His 2 Tim 2:19.

So, if your sins are yet to be washed by the blood of Jesus, if you are yet to receive the power to “go and sin no more”, you can do it now by repenting of your sins and calling on God for cleansing through the blood of His only begotten son. Do it and do it now!

Christ came to give us His life and that we might it to the fullest, this is the very reason we will be saved because our lives is taken away and we have His life, so when God sees us He no longer the old life but the new life in Christ Jesus.

Alas! and did my Saviour bleed, and did my Sovereign die?
Would He devote that sacred head for such a worm as I?

Was it for crimes that I had done He groaned upon the tree?
Amazing pity! grace unknown! and love beyond degree!

Well might the sun in darkness hide, and shut His glories in,
When Christ, the Mighty maker, died for man, the creature's sins.

But drops of grief can ne'er repay the debt of love I owe;
Here, Lord, I give myself away- tis all that I can do.
For the Lord to die for a worm like me, what a dept of love God has for me!

Christianity EtcRe: Would Our First Parents (adam And Eve) Have Lived Forever? by Eben2: 4:39pm On May 02, 2013
Hi Nlders,

Personally, i believe a lot of information was omitted in the book of Genesis. God is the only One that knows the beginning; Moses only wrote what the Spirit of God ministered to him and God gave him what He knows we'll need to know, the rest He will reveal to His children when we shall see him. Daniel 12:9.

Now, as per the unclothedness of our first parents, I believe a lot of what was writing was spiritual. Take for example: Gen 2:25 says: "And they were both naked, the man and HIS WIFE and were not ashamed" (emphasis mine). This passage connotes to my own simple understanding that both were aware of each other's unclothedness but were not ashamed of it. Why? Because the glory of God and His Spirit was a covering for them! The Spirit and Glory of God left them immediately they disobeyed God just as it happened to Saul (the first king of Israel). With the departure of God's covering for their unclothedness came shame and spiritual depravity hence, a feeling of inadequacies and shame. Their eyes must have been opened to the fact that they have been deceived and duped by the devil that instead of dominion and rulership over the earth and everything God has created therein, they've now foolishly relegated all their authorities and sold themselves as slave to the devil

Christianity EtcRe: What Would Make You Change Your Religion? by Eben2: 9:59am On Mar 21, 2013
@udatso,
I am not really given to argument about the truth of the word of God. nevertheless, it seems to me that you genuinely wants to know and as a result i will give a simple answer to the questions about Jesus' question in Matthew 27:46 and His agony in the garden.

Now, you must know something first; that the eyes of God are purer to behold iniquity, that is why the bible says that the prayer of a sinner is an abomination onto God.

Back to our passage, at this point on the cross, the Lord Jesus - the saviour of mankind was having on Him the sin of the whole world! God at this point was totally separated from Him because of my sins and your sins. God had to turn His back on His only begotten son because of the filthiness of the world that was upon Him.

Jesus was not questioning God; He was quoting the firt line of Psalm 22 - a deep expression of the anguish He felt when He took on the sins of the world causing Him to be separated from His Father. This was exactly what He dreaded when He prayed to God in the garden to take the cup from Him. Mat 26:39

The physical agony was horrible, but even worse was the period of spiritual separation from God. Jesus suffered this double death so that we would never have to experience eternal separation from God.

Another point we must learn from this is that Jesus came in form of flesh, having the same passion, pain and temptation that we go through as human yet, He endured the agony of the cross just so you and I can be saved. He could have chosen not to do it but He did it anyway! He was tempted and the flesh was there to discourage Him, yet He chose the WILL OF GOD. "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN" Heb 4:15.

As for the burial, Hebrews don't cover their dead in the ground as we do here. They have tombs (private & general) where their dead are buried according to their customs, a big stone is usually roled over the tomb just as we use sand to cover our dead. This was how Jesus was buried - according to the customs of the Hebrews. Moreover, forget about the lies and bribry of Caiaphas the chief priest to cover the resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Matt 28:11 - 15

As for me, if Jesus could save me from my addictions and the terrible life i was living and make me a new man and my home a peaceful abode: there is no other argument, there is no other pleas, it is enough that Jesus died and that He died for me.

You cannot understand the book of Zechariah if you dont know the audience the book was written for initially and the purpose of the book.

The book was written to address the Jews in Jerusalem who had returned from their captivity in Babylon. the exiles had returned from Babylon to rebuild the Temple, but the work has been delayed; hence, Haggai and Zechariah confronted the people with their task and encouraged them to complete it. they also gave the people the message of hope about the coming King, the great deliverer of Isreal - the Lord Jesus;(Chapter 9:9,10) although He did not come untill about 480 years after this period.

Christians must also have it at the back of their mind that the Lord Jesus is coming; it might seems its taking long just as it was that the period of Zechriah, Haggai and Malachi, but He will surely come and at this time as a King. Are you ready for His coming?!
Christianity EtcRe: The Book Of Zechariah Has Been Voted As The Most Difficult Book To Understand by Eben2: 1:24pm On Mar 05, 2013
The vision of the flying roll (scroll) was a vision of the judgement of God on those who violated God's law specifically by stealing and lying (5:1-4) The woman in the basket personified wickedness and so this vision showed that wickedness would not only be severely punished according to the vision of the flying scroll but also banished according to the vision of the woman in the basket (5:6 - 9).

The woman in the basket was carried away to Babylon (the land of Shinar) which had at the time become a symbol, the center of world idolatry and wickedness. This woman was a picture to Zechariah that wickedness and sin would be taken away from Isreal and one day sin will be romoved from the entire earth.

Christianity EtcRe: Stories from the Bible We Don't Understand by Eben2: 9:18am On Mar 05, 2013
@Op,

Someone asked similar question in our Sunday school class and i have this to say:

In the bible, most especially in Genesis, there were a lot of events that were not recorded chronologically. Take for example, Genesis opened with: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" and it went ahead to tell us how the earth was created and nothing was mentioned about how heaven was created. This is because those were not necessary for our instruction and learning. The bible says: "all scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" 2 Tim 3:16.

Moses was not there at creation but only wrote what God inspired him to write and God only gave him what was/is profitable for us.

Adam and Eve spent almost 1,000 years on earth, they could have had and given birth to lots of children and their children could giving birth to hundreds of children even before the death of our fore-parents; but those story will not benefit us in anyway. What God wanted was for us to have a glimpse of how things on earth came into being; the mistake our parents made that brought us into bondage and his undying love for us. We are supposed to learn from this and reciprocate His love by accepting His Lordship and friendship.

Daniel was as curious as we are now but the angel of the Lord told him not to border himself with things that God was/is not ready to reveal now until the appointed time. "and i heard but i understood not: then said i, o my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? and he said, go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end" Daniel 12: 8,9.

uj_sizzle: i used to attend a church where the pastors wife actually offer to give people immodestly dressed a change of clothes from her wardrobe.
I won't say it's right to turn especially new comers away cos that might just be the day salvation might come to them. But they have to be cautioned in love, if anyone wants to go to the house of God, they must be ready to be modest in appearance so they don't offend other believers.

superbloke: Hi guys!
@Eben et al, what would you say about those who turn back people they feel dress inappropriately to church. I know there are some churches that turn away visitors because they are not dressed modestly. Is this right? Is it the best thing to do? I would love to know what you guys think.
SB, I have never witnessed such before and i don't think its right to turn away those who dress inappropriately to church. If Jesus were to turn me away as a result of my dirty lifestyle before i met Him, then there wont be salvation for me and His death for me would have been in vain. Jesus said: "for the son of man is come to SEEK and to SAVE that which was LOST" Luke 19:10. the church is supposed to be a place of succour to the unsaved; a place where they can find peace and be lovingly pointed to the Way of salvation.

However, some of these dresses may be very offensive to some believers (especially the new converts and those that are weak in faith)and may be a source of temptation to them. the church should find a way of managing these set of people without judging them, i.e. correct them in love but firmly.

My wife and I once went to a church not far from our home. Believe me, we couldn't wait till the end of the service before we ran out of the church! It was like a fashion parade. It was as if people came to church purposely to show off what "they've got", to show who can "dress to kill" most. It was a show of shame!

I believe if our churches can preach more about the redemptive work of our Lord and that the blood of Jesus sets sinners free from the bondage of sin and self, the world will be a better place. Most of those who dress inappropriately do it not because they love to; some do it because they want to be noticed and loved and the devil who is always there to deceive has made them to feel the best way to get attention is walk about naked. We christians must point them to the Light by constantly preaching and living a christ-like life. I was once dilusioned too, thinking the more girls i laid, the more important and manly i was and i really went out doing what i taught was the best way of life until I met Christ in the CHURCH i had been attending for years. Jesus is still in the business of saving souls if only we'll show them the way!

delkuf: Am really happy that there are female xtian here, that knws that it is wrong to wear dress showing their body. Uj, humbled, and d rest God bless u
We bless the name of our God! No matter how corrupt, evil and hell-bent the world is, there will always be few who will dedicate their life to God and godliness. Even at the time of Jezebel when everyone in Isreal Worshiped Baal, God still had seven thousand souls "which have not bowed unto baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him". 1kg 19:18

The world has become sooooo corrupt that things that were termed in the past as "shameful" and "show of shame"(even in the West), has been turned into fashion. Men may change, but the standard of God remains the same! The bible says: as many as a led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. No true christian (regenerated by the blood of the Lamb and led by the Spirit of God), will unclad himself/herself in the name of fahion.

Most so-called christians now copy the dirtiness of world and brings it to the church so they can feel that "they belong". they have forgotten that they are supposed to be the light and salt of the world. they've forgotten that conformity with the world is enmity against God. Nevertheless this i know: "the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth those that are His...." 2 Tim 2:19.
