Dear Nairalanders investors,

My name is Emmanuel, a chef. I have a business proposal to make, and I hope to have you interested in the deal.

I'm naturally a kitchen person and as such, loves cooking passionately. It has always been my heart's desire to own and run a restaurant and catering services. So far, I've not been able to bring the desirable result to light but I've started the processes namely:

1. Register a business name

2. Opened a corporate bank account

3. Set up payment accounts on Flutterwave, Paystack, eNaira Merchant account, etc

4. Set up business pages on facebook, twitter, instagram and other relevant social media sites

5. Purchased a generating set.

These are the little I've been able to achieve on my own little strength. But of course, much is left to be done. Now, here's my proposal:

I am seeking a loan or an investment of N2.5M at a 20% interest rate, payable within a year. The use for this money is broken down as follows:

1. Machinery/equipments - N1,000,000

2. Shop rent - N700,000

3. Working capital - N500,000

4. Miscellaneous - N300,000

I am based in the Ajah part of Lagos, and the proposed business will also be within this axis. Feasibility study has been done and the necessary skills is in place. This means with the availability of funding, I'm hitting the ground running. I hope you find my business proposal interesting enough. For those interested, please reach out to me on email at: faveent7@gmail. com for further information and a one on one meeting.

Many thanks.

InvestmentRe: I Want To Open A Gas Filling Outlet by Ecclesiastes1: 4:25pm On Feb 18, 2022
A gas filling station is a winner any day, especially on a good location.

I think the biggest cons on the business has to do with cases of explosions. But of course, you can minimize it to the barest minimum by ensuring that best practices and adequate training is in place.

Go for it. All the best!

Christianity EtcRe: Is There Anybody In Heaven Or Hell Now? Is Judgement Instant?? by Ecclesiastes1: 6:57pm On May 03, 2017
ojobolinda:
1)Matt:25 vs 46 (mind u"everlasting punishment" there connote Hell)
MATTHEW 25:41, 46: “Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels…And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

Is this proof of an ever-burning hell?

It is not! The Greek word, aionios (from which comes the English word eon), translated “everlasting,” means “agelasting.” God will punish the wicked in the very same way He will the devil and his demons. I wouldn't bother going into much details, seeing that you're not really seeking the truth but probably seeking ways of strengthening your preconceived ideas, which are nothing but tales.

Yes, “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment” not punishing. It is important for you to note the difference. Punishment is defined as “the infliction or imposition of a penalty as retribution for an offence.” And what is the penalty for sin? Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death...” What could be plainer? Nowhere does the Bible says that the wages of sin is an eternal life of torment in hell fire, but eternal death which is the opposite of eternal life—the GIFT of God! Think. If some people are supposedly living in eternal torment in hell fire while some are living eternally in heaven (the Bible does not even teach that heaven is the reward of the saved, but inheriting and ruling over the earth as kings and priests [Matthew 5:5, Rev 5:10]), what difference does it make? Are all of them not living eternally? So where then is the eternal death?

It is clear to all discerning minds that your doctrine of an ever-burning hell doesn't add up when viewed in light of God's word, and is clearly then a fabrication well steeped in paganism! Yes, secular history can help you learn of its origin.

ojobolinda:
2)The story of Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16 vs 19-31)
Does it really say that when people die, they immediately go to either heaven or hell? It says no such thing! The story of Lazarus and the rich man is a parable and must be accepted as such. It is a story designed to illustrate a point.

ojobolinda:
The Bible said the wicked will b turn in to Hell and all the nations dat forget God (psalm 9:17).
I think you need to pick up a concordance and look for the different meanings of the word “hell”, because it seems whenever you see the word in the Bible, all you think and know of it is an ever-burning hell fire where people are tormented. I hope by now, you know no such place exist.

To further help you understand how the wicked will be punish alongside Satan and his demons, Malachi 4:3 states: “And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.” Understand. The wicked will be burn up completely—to ashes! This is what the Bible meant by eternal death, not eternal torment! Yes, the wicked will be blotted out forever (Psalm 9:5).

ojobolinda:
D bible is explicitly clear about dis issue, u have to agree with me.
Yes, the Bible is cleared about either eternal life or eternal death, and also not inheriting heaven but the earth, nor burning in hell forever. I'd agree with you if you come to the realization of these truths. And... just in case you're having problems in understanding what death means, death is simply a cessation of life. Death is the opposite of life.

ojobolinda:
B WISE
Thank you. However, I do not want your own form of wisdom, which is nothing but a corrupt one. What wisdom opposes and ignored God's own truths like the resurrection and others? Certainly, this wisdom is not of God.

Still don't understand this techicalities...
There are no technicalities here. I believed the Bible point of view like I've pointed out above is clear enough for anyone to grasp, except maybe you're not interested in what the Bible says.

babyfaceafrica:
what happens to the spirit and soul when one dies?..can a spirit and soul be transferred to another body?...
Here's a slightly but similar question: “Who knows the spirit of man that goes upward, and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to the earth”? (Ecclesiastes 3:21). Though this is a question, but therein lies the understanding that at death, the spirit of man goes upward. Lets make it clearer: “Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it” (12:7).

When tie together, we see that when one dies, the soul—body, i.e, the abode that housed your spirit, returns to dust from where it came from (remember Genesis 2:7) while your spirit returns to God. See God here as a powerful computer device that receives and stores billions of data, retrievable as at when due.

These returned spirits so received and stored by God will be brought back to life at the resurrection (John 5:28-29, I Corinthians 15) for judgement.

ojobolinda:
@eccles, pls i blieve there is a HELL cos it's in d bible.
A hell where people are burning now and will continue to burn forever? Very well then, provide proofs of it in the Bible.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Difference Between The Soul And The Spirit? by Ecclesiastes1: 7:07pm On Apr 30, 2017
There's a subtle difference between SOUL & SPIRIT.

Speaking of soul from the Bible point of view, it states that: “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). Here, we are told that we do not have a soul but we are soul in TOTALITY.

However, there's what is known as the “spirit in man” (Job 32:8, 1 Corinthians 2:11). When tie together, we see that it is only when your spirit is joined with that of God that you can receive inspiration from Him, and He also communicate with you through your spirit. Remember, God is a Spirit (John 4:24).

So simply put, you are soul + spirit.
Christianity EtcRe: Is There Anybody In Heaven Or Hell Now? Is Judgement Instant?? by Ecclesiastes1: 5:46pm On Apr 30, 2017
The psalmist wrote, “What profit is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it tell of Your faithfulness”? Again, “For in death there is no remembrance of You; in sheol who will give You praise”? (Psalms 30:9, 6:5).

These psalms poses serious questions to “die & go to heaven or hell believers”. It is interesting to note that these questions are thrown to God, but no answer is given (not that the psalmist was expecting one). The questions are rhetorical ones—the answer is quite obvious; death is simply the opposite of life—the cessation of life!

Hard saying? Not at all, if you'll simply accept the truth. Why did the psalmist asked all of these questions knowing fully well that when he die, he will go to heaven and praise God and sing His faithfulness? The fact is that he had a perfect understanding of his state as a dead man!

Paul asked a question: “...how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead”? (1 Corinthians 15:12). Understand why Paul asked this question. The people at the time correctly understood what death is and therefore rejected or scoffed at the thought of a resurrection, when it was taught by the apostles, hence, the reason why Paul asked them this question. This resurrection being talked of will happen at the coming of Jesus Christ (verse 22-23) and will comprised of both the just and unjust (Acts 24:15). Now lets ask some questions: if supposedly the good people are living in heaven and the wicked in hell, who will be resurrected at the coming of Christ? How can those living in either heaven or hell fire resurrect again? Is the resurrection for the dead or the living? I bet you can never answer these salient questions correctly except you come to terms with the true state of the dead. It doesn't matter for how long you've learned the wrong thing, but the willingness to take correction now.

Here is how the psalmist finally answered his questions: “The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down into silence [the grave]” (Psalm 115:17).

Armed with this understanding, lets addressed your confusions now.

ojobolinda:
1 thess 4:16-17 says '' For the Lord himself shall decend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: so shall we forever be''.
Is this verse still confusing you after the understanding above?

ojobolinda:
While Hebrew 9:27 says '' And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this judgement''. Rev 6:9-11 talks about the saints dat have been killed for their faith and how they r still awaiting God's judgement
Yes, after death comes judgement, but what you may not know is that God is only judging His Church now (1 Peter 4:17), while the dead will be judged at His appearing (John 5:28-29). It is also at this time that rewards are given (Matthew 25:14-25)

ojobolinda:
while in Luke 23:43, Jesus said to the thief on d cross dat TODAY you will be with me in paradise.
Aren't this verses contradicting?, pls i need clarification........
By now, you should know that there are no contradictions but misunderstandings. Lets look at Luke 23:43.

Consider: King David was “a man after God’s own heart” (I Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22). Abraham was God’s friend (II Chron. 20:7) and the “father of the faithful” (Gal. 3:7-9). Moses was the meekest man who had ever lived (Num. 12:3) and spoke with God personally (Ex. 33:11). If none of these great servants of God had ascended to heaven (John 3:13, Acts 2:34) how is it possible that a thief, although repentant at the end of his life, could have a guaranteed reward in heaven?

Upon death, did Christ go directly to “paradise,” which is in heaven (II Cor. 12:4)? Did He promise the thief that he would join Him there the same day? No! Notice the key phrase “when You come into Your kingdom.” This alone shows there is an important time element involved in Christ’s statement.

Before continuing in Luke 23, read I Peter 3:19-20: “By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.”

This verse is often cited to prove that Christ was preaching to demon spirits in an ever-burning hell during the seventy-two hours He was supposedly in heaven, while His body was in the tomb. This reasoning shows the inconsistency of those who do not carefully study the Bible. It also ignores the time element in I Peter. Careful reading reveals that Christ preached to the “spirits in prison” just before the Flood, not when He was in the tomb. The Greek word for “prison” is tartaroo, meaning prison or place of restraint—the earth.

Could Christ have (1) preached to “demons in hell” while also (2) enjoying paradise (heaven?) during the three days and three nights that He was supposed to be in the tomb? Both would be impossible and neither is true.

Now notice John 20:17. Christ told Mary Magdalene, four days after Luke 23:43 occurred, that He had still not been to heaven! Could He have so quickly forgotten what He told the thief?

Reread Luke 23:43, but now read it with the comma after the word “today” and not before. The Greek is best understood as “Verily I say unto you today, shall you be with Me in paradise.” In verse 42, the thief said, “remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” He would not say “remember me,” unless he correctly recognized that much time would pass before Christ could fulfill this promise. Christ used the word “today” as if to say, “Right now, even while we are dying on a stake, I can tell you with certainty that you shall be with Me in paradise.”

The meaning of the Luke 23 account is distorted largely because of a simple error in grammar. The comma, which follows Christ’s lead-in statement, “Assuredly, I say to you…” was inserted and misplaced by men. It changed His entire meaning. The original Greek, the language of the New Testament, did not use certain punctuation, such as commas and quotation marks. Translators using their own discretion added them later. The correct rendering is, “Assuredly, I say to you today [in other words, “I tell you right now”], you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

Now I believed your confusions have been cleared, and your misunderstandings, straightened. Now you know that no one is either in heaven or hell fire, but that all are simply in their graves, awaiting the resurrection, and also that judgement is not instant.

Finally, notice what Job understood: “If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come” (Job 14:14). What change? Paul answered: “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (I Corinthians 15:51-52). Indeed, this is a mystery, and blessed are those who understands these things.
