jeff1000: hi guys,i've bin following dis thread rite 4rm d start n i must confess dat i love d cooperation in here,i would like 2 join d family....i've so many questions 4 u ol especially akby...but let me start wit dis....i'm a student of fedpoly bauchi studying science lab tech currently on my 4mnths siwes program ending by march...by God's grace i will be finishing my ND by december n i don't wanna waste any tym at home...i wanna apply 4 medical lab science in a uni in ondo...so my question is...can i apply 4 d.e dis yr while still in skul n am i goin 2 sit 4 jamb?...inorder 4 me 2 enter uni next yr or am i gonna wait...advice pls...tanks alot..*winks*.

dafoly: i'm still contemplating btw unilorin's history n international studies and uniben's pol sci or pub admin

dafoly: UI has political sci but i'm not sure if they admit ND in that dept because i also hav ND in pub admin frm ibadan poly and i went to the admission office in which i was told that they don't accept ND in dat faculty of social sci except A level. But it can be tried if u have a stronger connection

dafoly: It's specifically stated in unilorin website dat don't accept ND in some courses like political sci, econs, microbiology etc, UI don't accept ND 4 it social science courses except A level i knew dis because i schooled @ ibadan poly and lasu dont allow direct entry except for their diploma. Even unilag rarely admit ND from polytechnics except for faculty of education and many more schools like that, so be wise with ur choice and institution

dafoly: Let's inform ourselves on institution that don't accept a particular kind of certificate. because i know most fed universities don't accept OND for some departments as direct entry. This would be necessary just to avoid wastage of money

ewizard1: Pls. i need an info. I did a WAEC with a skool as an External Candidate in 2007. now i need my Certificate (original waec). I called the skool and they said they' ll charge 5k to get it. Pls do anyone know if i can bypass d skool and get it from WAEC itself? I'm sure i wont be paying as much as 5k. any info on that? God bless. its urgent. wanna get it b4 jan.

C, Biology C then Maths i had D7....and i wanted to study either Accountancy or Bank/fin or BizAdmin. But since i didnt make my maths. I decided to switch courses to either public Administration or Political science coz i heard these courses dont need maths. ... the school i want to attend is Ambrose Aali university or Uniben. i visited thier website i saw all social science courses and admission requirements. This is Exactly what i saw For Public Administration Requirements. Candidates must possess an SSCE Result with Credit in English Language, Government, and relevant subjects with at least a pass in Mathematics. the same thing also applied to Political Science. i was so happy when i saw this but only for me to be told by some people that if i am given admission with this result in my final year i will be asked to go back to 100L that my result is not complete. Please is this really true. Please tell me. I am just tired [/b]

Akby: Sure u can apply... OAU is a federal institution so there is no preferential treatment for a particular region. Everybody irrespective of ur state is equal to gain admission. The only probs is dat OAU academic calendar is terribly slow. Up till now, they've not admitted for this year and students that would be admitted can't resume earlier than march next year. A good school no doubt but a slow calendar. U can give it a trial

Just ask anything u don't know about DE to any school I might be of help. Officially the form is not yet out on sale. It cost ₦4,600 dis year (same price of UTME) and with the slash of UTME form to ₦4,000, DE too might just fall as well. The form comes out imeediately after the UTME examination slated for March 23 2013. Anytime from then the form comes out. Let's get it started.... @Akin_Offical on twitter
