Marriage is a beautiful thing designed by God to make you fulfilled, happy etc, but humans have messed it up.
Marriage should enhance someone's life, but if you check, you may notice that some people's life went down or started going down after they married.
If a lady has been sleeping with a diabolic yahoo boy or ritualist, do you think marrying such ladies will open doors for you? It may close the open doors you probably had before marriage. Or if you marry a man whose destiny has been badly affected based on his bad lifestyle, it may affect you. Other factors may cause this too which a partner may not be the direct cause.
It is not a good thing to be a shadow of yourself in marriage, while you were elegant, vibrant, successful etc in your singlehood.

That's the thing, the guy isn't rich... He's a university lecturer and his wife used to make more money than him before she quit her job... And her family were also not happy about it.

I also once heard this other teacher talking about how her husband who's a security guard has been telling her to quit her job and be a house wife... Apparently he first wanted to be in charge of her finances and receive all her monthly salary, when she refused, he started telling her to quit her job, but she still stood her ground and refused...
