Also, I take it the aforementioned cities ideal for families are so because they’re more affordable?
he already has explained why people prefer north york and Scarborough. It’s easily accessible to downtown Toronto and environs via line 1 and line 2 subway. Also consider where you are likely to get jobs ( check indeed) , you can check the cost of rents for the different areas online. Affordability and GTA in these current time too don’t exist. 😅

For driving you can use the 9ja license to 2 or 3 months only

Maybe indians but Koreans and japanese men won't find dating difficult anywhere in the world. These people are rich, their countries have powerful passports and many of them are very good looking plus I am yet to see any asian man wey carry pot belly like Naija men.
not true. The most common interracial dating pair in western world is white male asian female. There are many asian females ( Chinese, Japanese, Koreans etc) who have never dated their race. Then their men are known for small peepee . 🤣

I feel encouraged.

Are those your colleagues in the US? If yes, how did they do it ?
I have been made to believe that STEM field is the way to move to US easily asides marriage.
their work experience from 9ja ( big 4) was solid, also bankers in core functions from Nigeria ( not branch) are also able to break in. Regardless some have found African Americans to marry as backup 😁

IB is easier to get into in Nigeria, it's US I know it gets really tough especially for international students.

I don't like accounting as a career, I prefer other aspects of finance like Private Equity, Hedge fund management, IB, etc.
IB is not easy to enter. When i was in stanbic ibtc training school years ago just two guys were able to enter IB out of 31.

Big 4 experience in Nigeria plus an MBA in Usa lands you in finance and consulting . I know ex colleagues from a big 4 in Nigeria in amazon, McKinsey, google and the likes. Dey play

how, Canada is bigger than the USA in size with only about 40million plus people
Arable land in Canada is about 4.4% of total landmass, coupled with the weather and terrain. The USA also has a bigger economy that can support over 300m population.

The prime minister is talking about the current infrastructure, economic situation ( jobs and all) . It can no longer absorb the current immigration levels.

Investment banking is not easy to get into. It’s usually children of the big boys that get in with few brilliant ordinary people. Your best bet is to enter a big 4 audit firm.

But why would anybody be thinking of doing menial jobs at the age of 50+? Why do we have such poor aspirations for our ?

Many people japa ing are driven by fear and not by purpose. And if you lack purpose and expression of your innate talent, then your life will be a life of mediocrity regardless of where you live.
Business failure, job losses, billings and life happens. Some have been trying to get back on their feet after these events but nothing happened. They then used their own travel history to japa to fend for their families. I know several people this happened to. Some later came back to Nigeria with capital they got from hustling.

Those cases are far different, those ones already had kids in those countries. She is referring to 40+ newly coming to struggle from the beginning.

Any 40+ that travels abroad at that age is setting themselves up for failure.
if you travel legally age is not an issue. I have fellow Nigerians with over 20 years experience from Nigeria working in the same place i work in Canada. They mostly came for MBA or followed their younger wife in migrating.

The a writing Nigerian person in his 50s still has strength to hustle even if na menial jobs.

I see a lot nairalander fantasizing about being hot cake abroad when they haven’t been there. The truth is women there are only interested in 20% of men. If you are not good looking, tall, with good job and swag. Nothing for you o. In Nigeria you could use your 3k or indomie and egg to get babes. But for abroad the babes are equally working so your money has to be long to entice them. 🤣🤣
