Gerrard59: You are absolutely correct. Wealth begets low birth rates. Israel is the only "developed" country with a high birth rate above 2.1. However, India, much of the wealthier Middle East, Thailand, Indonesia etc., also experience declining birth rates. So, it is much bigger than just prosperity. The individualism of the West has permeated everywhere so it seems.
The man is expected to still provide manly benefits and the woman is still hypergamous. The man does not benefit anything from her. The tale about companionship does not work well as he could get that even as a bachelor. The only benefit comes if the lady is financially higher than the guy. false . In many of these relationships its 50:50. |

Same Yorubas that claimed to be sophisticated in knowledge
I now see why they’re called cowards
God punish Tinubu where in the world are the most brilliant leaders Tinubu got only 58% of votes in South west. Lost osun and Lagos. Majority of his votes came from northern Nigeria. So how is it Yoruba fault?

The wrapper being used by south south people was from slave trade/ colonial era. The ankara , lace we use today in Nigeria came from dutch slave traders/merchants.
Foods like tomatoes, cassava, rice, corn etc came from Portuguese traders/slavers. Alot of Nigerians are just knowing that stock fish is from Scandinavia during biafra war.
Many of the so called things we think is our culture today are not even ours. |

Travel › Japa to Russia- Migrants Essential To Counter Russia’s Labour Shortage by ednut1(op): 3:15pm On Nov 22, 2024*. Modified: 4:34pm On Nov 22, 2024 |
Russia needs migrants to address its declining domestic workforce, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview published by state media on Friday. “Migrants are a necessity,” Peskov told the state-run news agency RIA Novosti, citing Russia’s “tense demographic situation.” “We live in the largest country in the world, but there aren’t that many of us,” he said, adding that labor migration is vital for economic development. Anti-migrant sentiment is widespread in Russia, particularly against laborers from Central Asia, who fill crucial roles in sectors like construction and agriculture. Russian authorities have long struggled to increase birth rates, introducing incentives like financial payouts and mortgage subsidies for families with multiple children. The population decline has been exacerbated by large numbers of Covid-19 deaths, casualties among soldiers fighting in Ukraine and the mass exodus of hundreds of thousands of men fleeing military mobilization. In 2023, Russia’s fertility rate was estimated at 1.41 births per woman, far below the 2.0 replacement level, according to the state statistics agency Rosstat. Between January and September, 920,200 babies were born, a 3.4% drop from the same period last year and the lowest figure since the 1990s, according to Russian media. In July, the Kremlin described the Russia’s shrinking population as “disastrous for the future of the nation.” https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2024/11/22/kremlin-says-migrants-essential-to-counter-russias-labor-shortage-a87104 |

SmartPolician: That guy hasn't made any significant impact since he joined the Super Eagles. While I wish him a quick recovery, the new coach should look for home-based players to play in the national team.
There are young guys in the local league who deserve a spot in the team. Iheanacho, Boniface and many others have lost their relevance in the team.
We cannot continue to have a mediocre team that cannot beat ordinary Rwanda. give homebased a call up. He will end up in albania league division 3 the next day |
