Anambra State Government has told the people of Ayamelum Local Government Area not to lose faith in the administration of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo considering the lies been perpetrated by the opposition especially that activities at the Solution General Hospital, Anaku inaugurated by the governor on Thursday, October 23 was a hoax.

The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike was at the Anaku General Hospital at the early hours of Saturday, October 25 to refute these false allegations and met a boisterous Solution General Hospital, Anaku.

He delivered his messages in multiple videos. In one of the visuals, the commissioner said while talking to one of the security guards, Chinemelum that people and nurses were actually in the hospital when the detractors came on Friday October 24.
"They merely fumbled with the handles of the doors and pretending the doors were locked, they walked round the facility saying that there were no persons at the hospital and that the hospital was not in operation."

Also in the visuals, the commissioner opened one of the doors leading into the reception of the hospital to show that people were actually in the hospital as at that time receiving attention from health workers.
He went round the wards and sections to show that activities were in full swing in the Hospital even as the hospital took delivery of its first baby that early morning of Saturday October 25.

There were also a surgery going on in one of the sections which showed that activities in the hospital since the commissioning on Thursday October 23 couldn't have been forced and played surreptitiously or as a make belief to deceive the people.
He, however, warned people of scrupulous intentions to stay away from the hospital and find something better doing.
People and Health workers at the hospital thanked and hailed the state government for coming their way to rebrand and equip the hospital for the use of people of the area.

Drama as Katsina man climbs building to express anger after his inlaws took his wife away; refuses to come down until they return her to him.

There was tension in the Sabuwar Kofa area of Katsina State on Sunday when a yet-to-be identified man climbed a section of an uncompleted building, perched on the edge and refused to come down after his in-laws allegedly took his wife away.

According to a Katsina publication, the man said he would only come down if his in-laws return his wife.
A video sighted on Facebook shows the man clinging adamantly to the ledge of the building as some residents make an attempt to bring him down.

“Sunday this man climbed the end of this building in Sabuwar Kofa Katsina area, expressing his anger with his in-laws who came to his house and took his wife away. The man said he doesn't come down until he is returned with his wife. He is the one who is videoing him and calling him a thief. He is not a thief, he wants his wife to be returned to him,” the report reads.

One driver who spoke anonymously said:

“These officials no longer stay within the BRT lane. They now cross to the main road and stop cars that have nothing to do with the BRT lane. Once they stop you, they demand money before you can move.”

Several motorists have taken to social media to express their frustration, calling on the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) to investigate and sanction the erring officers.

Transport analysts warn that such unregulated enforcement activities could erode public trust in the BRT system, which was originally introduced to ease congestion and improve urban mobility in the state.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the allegations. However, civic groups and transport unions are urging authorities to act swiftly, emphasizing that extortion and harassment under the cover of traffic enforcement must not be tolerated.

The incident adds to growing concerns about misconduct among some traffic enforcement agents in Lagos, with citizens calling for transparency, accountability, and reform in the state’s traffic management system.
