You really should read the history you cite.

Nazism died with Hitler? Fair enough. But communism didn't die with Stalin. The USSR survived him for almost four decades, and communist states still exist today.

The Roman Empire didn't end with Caesar. In fact, it reached its greatest extent long after Caesar's death, and the Eastern Roman Empire survived for another 1,500 years.

Alexander died in 323 BC, but Hellenistic civilization and kingdoms outlived him by centuries.

Napoleon died in exile, yet French influence and the ideas of the French Revolution spread throughout Europe and beyond.

Ironically, every example you gave disproves your point.

History isn't a Marvel movie where killing the villain ends the story.

First, Israeli troops have continued to suffer casualties and attacks in Lebanon. Even Israeli sources acknowledge deaths and Thousands of wounded in the fighting.

Second, leaders die, retire, and get replaced. States don't disappear because one old man is gone. History didn't end with Caesar, Churchill, or Stalin.

I never said the name Israel was invented in 1948. Ancient Israel existed as a kingdom long before that, just as Babylon, Persia, Egypt, and many other ancient kingdoms existed.

The issue is the ambassador's claim that "without Israel, there would be no America."

That's an extraordinary claim, and extraordinary claims require evidence.

No serious historian argues that the existence of ancient Israel was the sole reason America came into existence. America's founding was influenced by English common law, the Enlightenment, Greco-Roman political thought, Native American confederacies, African labor, and countless other factors.

As for Jewish contributions to America, I completely agree that Jewish Americans have made enormous contributions. That's a historical fact.

But acknowledging major contributions is not the same as claiming America would not exist without them.

By that logic, should we also say there would be no America without Africans who built much of its early economy? No America without the British legal tradition? No America without Native Americans? No America without French support during the Revolution?

History is not a one-man or one-people story.

I don't have to agree with an ambassador simply because he said it.

A fact is something supported by evidence, not by the job title of the person making the claim.

America declared independence in 1776. Israel was established in 1948. So the claim that "without Israel there would be no America" is literally impossible in a historical sense.

The United States existed for about 172 years before the modern State of Israel was founded.

America was shaped by many influences: Native Americans, Europeans, Africans, scientific discoveries from across the world, and centuries of political and economic development. None of that depends on the existence of a state that was founded in 1948.

If the ambassador meant that Israel is now an important ally of the United States, that's a political opinion that can be debated. But if he meant America would not exist without Israel, that is not a historical fact.

I respect facts, not authority. If tomorrow an ambassador says the moon is made of gold, his title won't make it true.

You completely missed the point.

First, I never excluded Africans. Human civilization was built by Africans, Asians, Europeans, Middle Easterners, and countless others. My point was precisely that no single people can claim ownership of human progress.

Second, I'm a Kurd with African roots, so the idea that I somehow hate Africans is laughable.

Third, I don't hate Israelis, Persians, Arabs, or anyone else. Unlike some people, I don't judge entire populations by their ethnicity. I judge actions and principles. I stand with humanity, regardless of who is involved.

Ironically, if I were the tribal-minded person you're trying to paint me as, I would have every reason to dislike Persians because Kurds have experienced oppression under various governments in the region. Yet I don't. Why? Because I don't hold millions of people responsible for the actions of states or rulers.

You keep trying to reduce everything to ethnic loyalty. I prefer facts, history, and human dignity.

That's the difference between us.

This is the kind of statement people make when they know slogans but not history.

Human progress isn't the achievement of one tribe. It's the accumulation of thousands of years of contributions from countless civilizations.

WhatsApp isn't Israeli, Zuckerberg isn't Israeli, and the atomic bomb wasn't a Jewish-only project. History is much more complex than that.

The West supports Israel primarily because of geopolitical interests, not because WhatsApp exists or because some scientists involved in the Manhattan Project happened to be Jewish.

Likewise, Persian scholars made some of the most important contributions to science in human history. Civilizations advance through the contributions of many peoples, not one group alone.

Well it's a cold rainy day, with few folks on the streets. That speculation may hit weather related turbulence and that worth falls short by the end of the day.

It is not about her but factors BEYOND HER CONTROL Elon is as rich as the world prescribes him to be this Friday morning at 8.32 am. That is not misleading. That is a reality that affects everything and everyone on earth.

You're mixing up two different things: uncertainty and speculation.

The akara seller is investing in a productive activity. Her profit depends on demand, weather, and other factors she cannot control, but there is a real underlying business creating value. That's not the same as assigning a trillion-dollar valuation to a company based largely on expectations about future earnings.

Every economic activity involves uncertainty, but not every valuation is equally grounded in reality. A farm, a factory, or a food business produces goods and services regardless of what the market thinks tomorrow. A stock price, on the other hand, can rise or fall dramatically without any corresponding change in the company's actual productive capacity.

So the criticism isn't that wealth changes with market conditions. The criticism is that measuring wealth primarily through asset prices can exaggerate wealth when those prices are driven by optimism, speculation, or asset bubbles rather than tangible economic output.

In other words, uncertainty is universal, but that doesn't mean all forms of wealth measurement are equally reliable.

I'm not tribalistic, but historical discussions should be balanced. It's too easy to place all the blame on Gowon while ignoring the mistakes made by Biafran leaders and the realities of the war. The Eastern Region leadership chose secession despite several attempts at negotiation, and that decision contributed to a conflict that cost countless lives on all sides.
