EducationThe Contribution Of Co-operative To Agricultural Development In Nigeria by eduprojectng(op): 11:53am On Jul 01, 2021
This project topic seeks to understand the contribution of co-operatives to agricultural development in Nigeria, it illustrates how farmers engage in mutual efforts, joint action, and a common goal to achieve a social interest that is beneficial to their agricultural endeavors. Get full project here.

So what’s a co-operative about?
Co-operative as used in this project topic is something the Igbos call Isusu, Yorubas call it Ajo and the Hausas call it Adashi. Technically it involves a financial contribution of a specified amount of money on agreed intervals by each member. Depending on the nature of their agreement, there is usually a slated time when everyone can take back the accumulated sum of their contribution, either annually, months, daily, weekly or bi-weekly.

Co-operatives actively serve as a better way to save in bulk since it instills financial discipline and a good saving habit in each member. In some cases, members are allowed to borrow more than their actual contribution to solve a pressing need to pay back later with interest. Co-operative are everywhere in a typical Nigerian market among businessmen and women, among community members, friends, and family.

How possibly have co-operatives contributed to agricultural development in Nigeria?
Co-operatives are social interest groups and as such useful for farmers’ collective growth.

Financial growth
Farm products are harvested seasonally; farmers leverage the provisions of co-operatives to raise enough capital to invest the next season. As farms yield seasonally, it only takes discipline and accountability to account for money made on sales. However, joining a co-operative helps farmers grow financially and of course improve their capital investment in agriculture.

Organization
With functional co-operatives for farmers, they are bound by certain regulations that govern how they harness the production, distribution, and profitability of their farm products. With co-operatives, farmers can unify their product prices, become more organized on who to distribute to, when, where, and how.

Conclusively, co-operatives enhance the collective growth of their members and it depends on the efforts of each member. Co-operatives are one of the oldest social interest groups and up until today, it has proven to bring a strong backbone to the mutual effort, joint action, and common goal groups.
EducationParental Background On Student’s Academic Performance by eduprojectng(op): 12:10pm On Jun 30, 2021
Related studies on English education project topics have shown that there is a relationship between parental background and student’s academic performance. According to the research, students have better, little, or zero chances to perform better academically considering several factors that build up around parenting. These factors are what we will consider in this article.

Factors surrounding parenting that may likely affect student’s academic performance

Economic status
While some parents have more than enough to cater to their children’s academic needs, some barely can afford one; this technically explains why academic institutions are classified, some for the very rich, some for the average, and some for the poor. In essence, the quality of education students receive primarily is determined by the standard of the institution they attended.

In another picture, whereas some parents can afford to pay for their children’s study materials, some cannot. Some students are forced to get their hands on a hustle so they afford their needs, as a result, gets their attention divided, affecting their academic performance in the long run.

Parental occupation
What the parents for a living have a large influence on their income. A poor local farmer may not be able to afford his children’s tuition as quickly as a civil servant or a businessman or even a large-scale farmer. On many occasions, we see how students are sent out of school, denied promotional examinations, or graduated because they haven’t paid off their tuition.

The educational level of parents
In another situation, some parents do not consider formal education a necessity for their children since they made a living out of whatever they do even without attaining a formal education. If ever there is a need to send their children to school, the willingness to provide for the child’s academic need will be lagging leaving them to suffer academically. The reverse is the case with parents with good academic backgrounds.

Home and size of family
The size of the family, large or small, determines the quality of education students receive, who goes to school, and who goes to learn handiwork. If there are just two children, for instance, chances are they receive a better education standard than a family of 7children.

Conclusively while the parental background is a big factor to consider when examining students' academic performance, it is not always the case. In some cases, parents from very poor educational backgrounds wish to raise children with quality education. But while the wishes last, the reality lies in the affordability.
EducationEffect Of Exchange Rate And Currency Fluctuation On Economic Growth by eduprojectng(op): 12:18am On Jun 28, 2021
Economic growth is largely influenced by too many factors but one of the chief factors is the currency exchange rate fluctuation. Currency exchange rate has a way of improving or worsening a nation's standard of living which is a direct outcome of low or high rates of international merchandise.

See full student project topic on this topic

In Nigeria for instance, we have seen how life becomes even more expensive ever since the exchange rate started increasing helplessly as against the Naira. The prices of goods and services are on the rise coupled with inflation that gives little value to a huge sum of money.

Currency fluctuation rate is determined by floating exchange rate. Floating exchange rate is a situation where a nation’s currency price is determined by the Forex market based on the demand and supply mechanism. A long term fluctuation rate of a nation’s currency affects economic strength negatively just like the situation is here in Nigeria at the time of writing this article.

What direct effect does this have on the economy
Trade surplus or deficit :- With high exchange rate, a country’s local currency can suffer a trade deficit and if it is low, there could be a trade surplus. Technically, this means that you have to pay a higher amount of money to get just a few goods on importation and vice versa. In the long run, the prices of those imported goods automatically get either more expensive or less.

Secondly, the currency exchange rate impacts economic growth to a very large extent including capital flows, inflation and interest rates. The result in turn becomes visible in the standard of living in the economy. In a situation where a country imports more than half of what it consumes and has maintained a weak currency, the effect will become even more pronounced than necessary.
EducationHow To Write Historical Background Of Undergraduate Research Projects by eduprojectng(op): 6:51pm On Jun 01, 2021
The historical background or historical overview as some would tag it, is very typical of undergraduate research projects and ofcourse constitutes one of the major parts of research documentation just after the preliminary pages. It covers summary of underlying situations, issues and factors surrounding the research project topics while also citing several cases and instance to demonstrate the need to embark on a research.

However, not too many undergraduates understand what should and what should not be included in a historical overview of students research project.

What historical background or overview is not

• it is not a history spree

• it is not a statement of problem

• it is not a place to state the research projects’ objectives

• it is not an essay either

What a historical overview really is and how to write it structurally
Historical overview is an avenue in a research where major and minor issues influencing the research are cited, identified and discussed briefly while also citing various researches and documented records of these circumstances or events. While putting your project topic into it, students are expected to define the significance and implication of these situations on the research project topic they are researching on.

So to structurally write a historical overview ensure to;

• Cite a major event, situation or re-occurring circumstance, a pending problem etc.

• To prove certainty, include dates, places, time if possible, other information that adds credibility to your narrative

• Link up the underlying issues with where your research project topic appear to offer a solution if the research findings adds up

• Back up claims with documented researches from related studies including relevant theories, quotes and passages and ensure give due acknowledgement.

• Conclude with the major ways your project topic intends to help the situation at the end of your research.

Research is very unpredictable; a statistical error is enough to alter the research final outcome. Ensure not to sound too confident in your research overview so that your research outcome does not question your initial speculation.
EducationHow Insecurity Is Affecting Education In Nigeria by eduprojectng(op): 7:37am On Jun 01, 2021
News of abductions, kidnap and killing of students and pupils in certain locations across the country is very alarming and to think that it happens on regular occasions without any intervention by the government is disheartening. Fear has gripped many including parents and students and has drastically affected education and the value placed on it.

Not once, not twice but times without number have students been either kidnapped or abducted on their way to school, right within the school environment or on their way back. Parents have remained no efforts to get their children back at all cost including paying huge ransom amidst rape and human rights infringement against their children.

See project topics on education in Nigeria for the effect of insecurity on education

It leaves the psychological effect of ‘safety first before education’. No one wants to die because he/she needs to go to school. So far alot has gone wrong including the psychological damage of young pupils who get snatched on their way to school and ofcourse the entire education cycle especially at affected areas.

Talk of how insecurity has;

Placed less value on education
Right now, begging to survive is what’s left of terrorism survivors especially in the northern part of the country. Whatever sounds like school or something close doesn’t make sense anymore. If the same education makes students and pupils vulnerable to terrorist attack, they rather sit at home.

Disrupted the academic curriculum
Recovering from the wake of covid 19, insecurities hit yet again, this time hitting education so hard and helplessly. The already disrupted academic curriculum and calendar has finally lost shape especially in the Northern part of Nigeria where families are constantly displaced from their homes and students from their lesson centers. Moreover, no one cares anymore. The struggle to live first is overwhelming enough to think of anything else.

The mental health of displaced and kidnapped children
Kidnap, abduction and killing instills fear and terror in the minds of young people particularly those who have experienced it first-hand; hence, giving no room to accommodate academic information which doesn’t matter so much right now.

In the end, we will blame poverty and high cost of education for the rate of illiteracy in the country. What is worth doing is worth doing well. The educational system in Northern Nigeria is suffering, students are losing out big time and we are not seeing government take a major move to intercept in this case.

EducationReasons NYSC Should Be Revamped Rather Than Scrapped by eduprojectng(op): 1:41pm On May 25, 2021
It is in the news that a bill seeking to scrap NYSC in the House of representative has scaled the second reading. The news which is a very sensational among Nigerians has raised concerns, commentaries agitations and debates for and against the bill. However, the fact remains that NYSC is a two edged sword. It has its good and bad sides; following the debate on twitter, it is obvious that those in support of the bill have not gained so much from the program while those against the scraping have testimonies to share.

NYSC has been really beneficial to school leavers basically. It bridges the gap between graduation and employment, although it has not favored everyone as such, it has been instrumental in proving an after school starter pack for school graduates across the nation. While graduates are not sure of automatic employment after NYSC, they are sure to be equipped with Small and medium scale entrepreneurship orientation and skill in camps with hope that they continue in that light after camp.

See project topics about SME/entrepreneurship

Something to recall about NYSC – Personal experience
At the NYSC orientation camps across the nation prospective corps members are made to compulsorily undertake a SAED – skill acquisition and entrepreneurship development within the two weeks out of three weeks in camp. Trust me, I have persons who are seriously practicing and earning from those paid skill acquisition. Sincerely two weeks is not enough and that’s the reason they strongly recommend that corps members should complete the training after camp since they have 11 more month before end of NYSC.

However, not too many of the corps members took the training seriously. 1 out of every 30 corps members can only boost of continuing with the learned skills. Funny enough, the larger adamant population end up stranded after all hope to get a quick job is spilled to the mud.

Peoples Jobs are at stake
Let’s not forget that it doesn’t stop at scraping NYSC. While the move to scrap it is still on the table, peoples Jobs are at stake. NYSC is a national programme housing public servants from across the nation, if it final gets scraped then the fight to improve gainful employment must have been defeated except there are plans on ground to fix that.

Without sounding subjective, let me quickly point out some downsides

Insecurity
The House of representative s move to scrap NYSC could be due to the underlying security issues the country is facing. NYSC in not worth dying for and as a national dispatch programme, some part of the country are not safe for habitation not to talk of strangers. The high rate of kidnap, rape, mass killing and abduction prevalent in some regions of the country calls for urgent attention and does not support the programme.

Familiarity complex
Familiarity complex is a psychological state where people develop preference for something simply because of their exposure to that thing. For instance, If NYSC sends Emeka to Kano, Nigeria, he will most likely not find Kano interesting and could affect his career plans because Kano is not a place familiar to him. Certainly Emeka might have developed preference for where he hails from and it would take time to change that.

Therefore, the dispatch method applied in NYSC only helps youth exposure partially without considerations of their psychological makeup. And that is not good.

Unproductive CDS
Community development services have become more like an exhibition ground, a ritual then what it is meant to serve. The programme is expected to have more inputs to make, or infact extend the SAED till after NYSC as this will extend the tenure of skill acquisition which shall fully kit corps members with skills to avoid being stranded after national service.
EducationHow To Tag Project Research Studies Alongside Exam's by eduprojectng(op): 5:37pm On May 24, 2021
It’s exams season for most undergraduates but some class of student’s wish they could air-brush the exams and focus on their final year projects. Unfortunately, the time could get shorter, shortly after the exams are over but nothing can change the fact that you need exams to have a complete pass. I’m talking of final year students who have exams to prepare for and their project topics to research on.

From the guide that this article will offer, you should be able to walk through this path, maximizing your study time for your research projects and exams alike from a single study shot, once for all. Let’s go ahead.

If you ever visited your university library, you’ll realize how instrumental it could be for your exams preparation and if it has something to offer your research topic, then you must be on top of the world.

So studying for exams and project which should run first? Certainly the one that needs your attention at the moment, let me guess, exams right? Let me assure you; you can deal with the two at once; how? Let me tell you

Pick copies of texts for both
Undergraduates studies is not like secondary school were different subjects gets thrown at you. Most undergraduate courses are inter-related and it is possible to run into useful resources for your research while studying for exams. Now this is the moment you should ready for. Ensure to pick-up texts that are useful for your research and exams, they may be different texts or just one.

Allot the study time unequally
When you pick the texts, you should be thinking on how to cover for both ends. Quick hack- allot time unevenly. Since exams is taking the much attention, you should allot more study time for it and the other for research study.

Take note of the books title, authors and dates
You may not know how difficult it is to find a book you once used in the library only to come back next time to realize you don’t have a clue what the title sounds like. Worst of all, it could be in use by someone else and you didn’t know it.

However, if you note down the details of the books you go through. It is easier to surf them online if it’s not available for you. Recall you’re preparing for exams and soon you’ll resume activities with your research paper, you’ll need the citations, references, bibliography and every detail you need to give acknowledgement to an idea-source.

Don’t forget the theories
Theories are significant part of your research project, in some field of study however, it is necessary to apply them while tackling exams questions.

If this is the case, this is a good chance to study and understand which theory applies to which circumstance and in what sense.

Gathering resources for undergraduate projects does not require any hard and fast rule. It is all influenced by chance, accident and arrangements.
EducationUnique Ways Research Projects Can Sharpen Student’s Intellectual Lives by eduprojectng(op): 6:21pm On Mar 26, 2021
Aside being a prerequisite for student’s graduation, undergraduate research projects serve other unique purposes both to the society and students alike. One of those is how much it shapes and sharpens students intellectual life even after graduation. We will be discussing how effective this claim is, as we progress in this article.

Public speaking
I wish public speaking is as simple as it sounds. But no, it subjects you to psychological panic and puts your fast thinking ability on the go to test. Whether impromptu or rehearsed, addressing a public alone could be challenging almost every next time. You see, that point of defending research project topics and materials before professors and lecturers is breath-taking. Students learn to build stage confidence, stage management, time management and ability to communicate effectively to a public audience.

Prepares students for real life problems
Choosing research project topics, students are fore-warned to take up real life problems and research on them. Although the population of students researches are often too small to make a healthy generalization, they are evidences to prove the possibility of finding solutions to many societal issues.

Sharpen their research skills
Research is systemic and unique. However on a basic note, undergraduate research prepares students in diverse practices like data gathering, sorting, data analysis and data interpretation.

Research documentation
Research documentation can be very religious in nature. In many institutions, there are required guidelines and procedures for documenting research. That tells why supervisors are attached to students to ensure such procedures are followed. Same way, students are prepared for the game even after school.

Ability to identity life issues
Choosing a project topic alone is skilful. It takes creativity and understanding to identify societal issues as well as bring it to bare in a research. Same way, interested students also become real life trouble-shooters in diverse areas of human endeavours.
EducationPotential Sources Of Errors In Students’ Research Project Topics by eduprojectng(op): 1:16pm On Mar 23, 2021
The secret to a good research is choosing a great research project topic, having in-depth knowledge of what it entails and requires to accomplish it. However, too many undergraduate projects have gone wrong simply because of an unmentioned error in the research project topics. So here is to identify potential sources of errors in students’ research project topics, citing how to avoid them very quickly.

Use of inappropriate diction/language
Lack of clarity resulting from the use of inappropriate diction and languages in a project topic can get your research really messy, you know. Words as used in researches are operational and so it must be carefully chosen to mean exactly the same as the researcher intends.

Lack of Research information
Detailed information is key to formulating a good project topic. Knowing first hand the purpose of your research, the main objectives of the research as well as the systematic strategies required to bring the research to conclusion is necessary to formulating a great research topic.

No adequate plans
If you take time to plan for your research project, chances are that you will start with a thoughtful topic otherwise, you could end up with a leftover.

Lack of understanding of topic chosen
In my project defense panel years back, my colleague was asked to re-do her project. Reason being that the research she had conducted does not match the topic she had chosen. Meaning that she simply lacks understanding of what her project topic actually requires, she probably had to cut corners. I hope you don’t repeat such mistake.

Use of complex diction or words
Research trials in simplicity; using complex words in the topic will only complicate issues rather than solve it. Big words have a way of meaning differently. It’s better to use simple words that means one thing and if ever complex words should come in, it should be defined.

Choosing a topic that costs more
As undergraduate, there are research topics you shouldn’t dare to undertake yet. It could cost you much time, much money and much more resources than you can afford. Your research may become incomplete and gets really tough along the line when you realize you couldn’t afford to. Always choose topics that are achievable at the undergraduate research level.

Other potential sources of errors may include:-

• Failure to delimit the topic

• Inability to identify qualities of good research topics

• Choosing a topic you have no interest in

• Lack of research purpose and objective

• Wrong research variables

• Mistake in the topic
EducationWhy Coding Should Be Some Informal Education For Everyone by eduprojectng(op): 2:12pm On Nov 30, 2020
Coding used to be some ceremonious fad for computer science students, computer engineers and people we would gladly tag ‘geniuses’. Nowadays, what we thought it was is really not what it is. Yes, computer science undergraduates seem to have an upper hand or let’s say better chances but not as much as anyone else who has developed a natural willingness to learn coding. Actually, coding is for everyone even children and I’m going to tell you why.

Checkout some computer science projects and you will realize that these guys are in to solve problems using technology and digital and that's where the coding solutions are born. However, knowing that you too, your kids and younger siblings can learn to code for some very good reasons is such a great idea. Sure you want to know why?

Increases attention span
When you code, you tend to focus alot on the lines of code so not to miss any character because when you do, you’re bound to make a mess of the whole work you have done. Besides its usually not easy to identify where exactly the mistake has been made until an error occurs.
Again, because you want to solve a problem, you code with a burden to give exact same solution in your head. And then you code like your life depends on it. Doing this alone continually increases your attention span and leaning speed.

Design solutions and become creative
Coding makes you wild in thought and makes you a solution bearer. It is a little technical to code and deals a lot with probabilities which either turn out good or bad. Whichever way, you get to learn from your mistakes and move on. Coding is one of the ways innovators are bone because they persist amidst clouds of crashed systems, omitted lines of code and characters.
Taking note of those mistakes drives progressive growth and better coding skills.

Bridges the gap between fun-time and work
You can actually keep yourself busy with coding between the time for relaxation and work time. For kids, you can manage their excessive play habits by engaging them with coding. Actually there are fun ways kids learn coding so it won’t be such difficult task for them.

Coding inspires structural thinking
You know when building a structure by yourself and an error occurs, it is easier to note the error and learn from it for better. That’s exactly what happens when errors occur in your code.

Coding makes you start from scratch to finish, so you know where you started, when you did and where you need to continue. Remember you don’t just code, you code with a solution you want to create. So you think about what you need to get it done, who needs to use the system you’re coding and the purpose it is going to serve. These makes up the structure of what you are going to programme.

Coding makes you think beyond the ordinary, you get to see things from different dimensions in order to dish out a solution. It happens sometimes that you, the coder, tend to see the bigger picture than anyone else.

These skills are what you need in the now, this is call to acquire coding skills so you could join the innovation and creative train.
EducationWriting Reports For Education Projects by eduprojectng(op): 6:44pm On Nov 25, 2020
Reports for projects are always written after the project is completed and for education projects, the case remains the same. Research projects on education basically summarize the entire research work to relevant people and for a purpose. It is best presented in written form and contains the major components of the entire research work.

There is no hard and straight way if writing reports for education projects, however there are few components you need to note about writing a undergraduate project reports if it's demanded of you. This is necessary so that a desired impression is created.

Characteristics of education project reports.

• Should be catchy and able to hold and sustain the interest of the purposed reader as long they go through it. This also means that it shouldn’t be too voluminous. The report is meant to give a simple explanation to the already long and complicated research.

• Systematic; a project report should be presented in a certain format that is acceptable and procedural.

• Should be clear and concise

• Should be more explanatory than analytical. In essence, a project report is meant to demystify the ambiguity in the research project and bring it to limelight to a total stranger. This includes giving apt and significant implications of the research and its finding.

Format for writing education project reports

Highlighting one of the characteristics of a project report as systematic indicates that it follows sequential arrangement. However there is no hard and straight way to do that, each project report submits to the prescribed arrangement of the faculty or department in question.
Below is a simple format for presenting education project reports, although it may not apply exact same for everyone.

Research overview
You certainly do not need to repeat the same details in your research in the overview section of your report. Start by announcing the research project you had undertaken. Next the purposes that inspired your research. Do not forget to state in clear terms the major ‘statement of purpose’.

Research objectives
Ofcourse the audience of your research report can follow up the details of your report without having the research objectives on their finger tips. In essence, clearly state the research objectives; be sure to number them so they can easily be referred to.

The research design
Here you have to present a candid and clear explanation of your research Methodology. That is, every procedure deployed to process your data gathering, data analysis and research findings should be included in this section of your report.

Summary of research findings
The research findings answers respectively to the research objectives. So in presenting your research findings, you must be sure to number them to correspond with the research objectives in your report.

Conclusion
This is the overall conclusion of the research outcome. A generalized statement to confirm or nullify the hypothesis of the research, an issue, cause and effect or a solution to a problem. The report must have this to indicate that the research was actually conclusive.

To wrap up, research report may begin with the conclusion of the research and proceed to the other components or follow the procedure as aligned above. What matters is the simplicity, clarity and being intentional to catch and sustain the interest of the report audience and ofcourse ensure to include all the information needed in the report.

EducationChoosing And Working With A Project Supervisor by eduprojectng(op): 1:36pm On Nov 18, 2020
Project supervisors are meant to assist you through your undergraduate research journey and even further if you wish; that's why you need one when you are all set to embark on research in the university. However, you either have to make the choice and have the choice made for you; its just so important to have one.

Research are mostly deliberate and require a rigorous approach which students, if left alone, will hardly follow through without supervision. Even though it doesn’t turn out favourable to students alike, it is necessary to guide you on choosing and working with a project supervisor.

Check out some free project topics in your field

There are three approaches to choosing a project supervisor;

• Choose a research topic and checks which lecturer is best in handling that field of research as supervisor.
• Choose a project supervisor first, then let him/her help you out with choosing research topic.
• Choose a project topic, get it approved and then a supervisor is assigned to you.

All of these approaches varies with climes, institutions, course of study and the mud us operandi of the department or Faculty of study.
By the way, choosing a supervisor or have one chosen for you is not a problem solved, it’s a whole journey of relationship building just to make things work out easy for your research. While you have your own role to play, your project supervisor also has a role to play

Role of a project supervisor

• Guide you on the choice of research topic
• Guide and assess your research objectives to meet achievable research goals
• Meet and discuss with you on intervals about your research
• Assess your work so far, offer advice on the presentation of written expression
• Write commentaries and notable corrections you need to make in your project.
• Pay attention to your research needs like books and resources that will aide the research.

Working with a project supervisor

Sometime it feels totally strange to work out your research with a Lecturer as your supervisor. So here are tips to help you fight your fears;

• Establish a relationship with your project supervisor
• Try to understand their schedule and stick to it

EducationPossible Options To Consider For Choosing A Project Topic by eduprojectng(op): 11:51am On Nov 16, 2020
Conducting a research on a chosen project topic is not what every student must do; it’s what they have to do in partial fulfillment of a course of study. However there are many choices to be made in this regard including the choice of topic to research on, which area to anchor the project and from what angle to project the research. But with this article, you will get to mind-shop specifically from possible options available to consider while projecting project topics.

What is a project?
A project is an in-depth study of an issue relevant to the field in which you are studying. A project is a research and that makes it different from your regular classwork and group assignments. In a research project, undergraduates are expected to gather data and analyse them so as to contribute something new to academic and practical knowledge. It is expected that student’s should more or less, table something that cannot be randomly learnt from mere reading a text book and some other published literature.

Options to consider for a project topic
So below are possible options you can consider which choosing a project topic for research

Analysis
You can choose to analyse existing data set in a bid to test a hypothesis or to answer some pressing research questions.

Evaluation
You can also consider the implementation of programmes in the key development areas by evaluating the possibilities and prospects.

Critical and systematic review
Or you can decide to critically review something of necessity; say the effectiveness of programme, a policy, a strategy, values by systematically reviewing the subject matter while also bringing in a constructive review.

Case study
Case study is yet another option for research. It’s limited in data gathering and better adopted for a small scale research. But the good news is that case studies are more likely to conduct research from data collected from original sources. The research keeps to studying just a singular case with in-depth data evaluation.

These are not all, ofcourse there are more. However, your attention needs to drawn to the fact that some of these anchor research terms like, Design and implementation, evaluation, critical analysis, coverage etc. Are many a-times exclusive to some fields of study as it best describes what they can actually research on in that field.
EducationHow To Convert A Seminar Topic Into A Research Project Topic by eduprojectng(op): 7:50am On Oct 30, 2020
It's about that time in students life when they are expected to take up a seminar presentation while also preparing their research project topics for a final year project. Although sometimes Seminars are presented at a lower level other than final year, either in the third year, fourth year or Second year, students are required to do presentation on a topic of most interest to them which ofcourse requires research to posit a fact.

Same way, final year projects require same procedure but this time with a more elaborate topic, research and detailed analysis. However, I suggest it’s a waste of research if your have to choose two different topics for a Seminar presentation and a research project When you can easily convert your seminar into a project with a large scope of research. That’s basically what this article is set to accomplish – to guide you on how to convert a seminar topic into a project topic.

The differences between undergraduate Seminar and research project

Some remarkable differences exist between an academic seminar and research projects and they include the following;
• Seminars are semi-research projects and not so elaborate like a full blown project research

• Seminars are most likely to be limited to a case study which is Used to establish a fact while a project depends on the sample of the research population. It all depends on the research method applied though.

• Projects as against Seminars take a larger research population and ofcourse a larger but manageable sample size.

• The nature variables in project topics makes them more specific than a seminar topic that posits a thesis and heads to prove the facts.

There could be many more differences that exist but lets quickly look at what you stand to gain or loose when you use the same seminar topic expanding it to be used as a project topic.

The pros and cons

Pros:-
• It allows for continuity in research
• Eliminates the option and stress of choosing a fresh research topic
• It allows for development of interest in a research area with proper understanding of the underlying issues.
• It’s one of the best and easiest ways to choose a project topic

Cons:-
• It limits your opportunity to explore other research areas
• Limits your research interest if you had many options.

Turning a seminar topic to a project topic

The transition from a seminar topic to a project topic is a deliberate attempt to consolidate the extend the topic idea of the former to a more specific though elaborate scope of study which the latter represents.

Start with the topic reformation; I guess that’s the first and only thing to do. Research projects are guided by procedures which draw inspiration from the topic. Unlike seminar topics, they consist of variables which serve as much purpose as a compass on a high sea.

Lets take one example;
Seminar topic:Mass media role in resolving Education issues in Nigeria (University of Ile-Ife as case study)

Project topic: Coverage of educational issues in the university of Ile-Ife by select national Television

Cite the difference? Seminar topics tend to be more general but uses case study to extract facts and make generalizations but a project topic takes up
specific variables and research them in detail and establish a generalization based on the research findings.

So logically, to transit from a seminar topic to a project topic is precision in topic variables.
EducationTips To Undertaking A Research Project While Doing A Side Job by eduprojectng(op): 11:17pm On Oct 12, 2020
Doing a part time job as an undergraduate was such a difficult time for me but I couldn’t quit because I so needed to expand my network, connect and ofcourse earn money. One of the most challenging moments was doing my research projects both seminar and final year project while also working my part time job. Right now, no regrets at all unlike how it felt then but I have recorded so many lessons and experiences that I would gladly share.

Today, I will be sharing my experiences doing a part time job while undertaking my research project. I will also be sharing practicable tips alongside on how to pull that stunt successfully without a burn out.

Without a promise that your research project experiences is going to be the cool and rosy but here are tips and easy hacks that are practicable to help you through your research;

Establish good relationship with your project supervisor
I had my own bite of this pie and one of the ways I dealt with it is to get closer to my project supervisor. I used to hear of what seemed like her bad deeds but I didn’t allow that to becloud my sense of closeness with her.

Meet your project supervisor and let the him/her know that you work a part time job; go ahead and explain your work schedules and draft how your research project activities will be favourable to the both of you.

Keep to time
Once you establish the relationship with your supervisor, you have to show commitment by keeping to time. Be early and regular at meetings and be sure to submit your corrections early.

For me, I reached an agreement with my supervisor to submit my project early before going to work. Again, when my file is ready, she writes the next submission date on it and I must keep to it.

Note and effect corrections ASAP
Project supervisors dislike it when you hardly effect corrections in your write-up. Even though you work a Job, be sure to note the corrections made on your research paper and effect them before return date. It makes them feel special respected and in control despite the relationship you share.

Use online survey
Along the research line, you will necessarily be required to gather data for your research. However, as a part time jobber, you don’t have so much time to fix all that by yourself. But with an online survey or any online resource that will quicken your research process.

Online surveys are easy hacks for data gathering; they are easily created and you can reach out to as many population as your research permits.

Hire a writer or data analyst
Doing a research project and working a job at the same time comes with a different kind of pressure and you have to be careful not to fall for it. If you can’t help it, you can hire a writer to handle your project writing as long as you provide adequate guidelines and research materials needed.
In another case, considering the time it takes to gather and analyse research, you may need the services of a data analyst. So as a part time worker, you have to make choices that are soft, convenient, less stressful and inclusive.
EducationDeveloping Entrepreneurial Prospect As Undergraduates - The How-to Guide by eduprojectng(op): 11:51pm On Oct 06, 2020
It’s such a great idea to become an undergraduate entrepreneur; so much of what the world needs right now. But it's not magical how people become entrepreneurs, it is deliberate. I mean, it is possible you are a full-time business mogul but never an entrepreneur but there is hardly an entrepreneur who is not a businessman or businesswoman. That’s an indicator that undergraduates still stand the chance to develop entrepreneurial prospects.

Business education and entrepreneurship is one of the high in demand skills that are most likely to be developed than just learned. Students get to study them in school and even get to the point of undertaking a research projects on business education, yet developing prospects for entrepreneurship is as tactful as practicing it. With this article however, you can learn to grow a thing for entrepreneurship especially as an undergraduate.

How to develop prospects for entrepreneurship

You need an idea not a company
You don’t need to own a company yet to be called an entrepreneur, you only need an idea to become one. Ideas is the only thing that separate businessmen from entrepreneurs.

Being an entrepreneur in the first instance expresses your ability to nurture ideas from mental creativity to tangible innovation. It doesn’t stop there, entrepreneurs double as businessmen and women when they have that persuasive skill to sell their ideas.

Be prepared to take challenges
The path of entrepreneurship is such that has not been traded by anyone before. You have to take the challenge of trial and error till you get the ball rolling. Meaning that resilience must be part of the plan.

Understand financial literacy and management
Developing prospects for entrepreneurship automatically puts you in charge of financial management and until you’re able to hire a capable hand you need to have money execute your ideas.

Sourcing funds as an entrepreneur is really challenging but understanding financial literacy and how money works put you ahead of the game.

Learn and relearn resilience
One more thing!! undergraduates can develop prospects for entrepreneurship with the ability to show skill to adjust to conditions that seem unfavorable to their entrepreneurial ideas.

Relatable cases are such like in Nigeria where most business ideas do not thrive due to the economic situation, unfavorable policies, cost of living and other factors that are considerably very vital to innovation.

Be open to partnership
An a student entrepreneur, It is advisable to scale up your business idea by partnering with people whose skill set complements yours. When you partner in business, you share the burden of reasoning and joining forces to build a sustainable business goal bound under a signed agreement.

Entrepreneurship is such great idea for undergraduates especially and but the sustainability raises more concerns. However, with the how-to guides above, students can walk their way through developing stronger prospects for entrepreneurship.
EducationHow To Avoid Plagiarism In Research Projects by eduprojectng(op): 4:15pm On Sep 29, 2020
Plagiarism is an intellectual misconduct often committed while writing. It is most common among undergraduates, postgraduates and others in the higher academic cadre. While writing their academic or education projects, students ‘play smart’ by taking advantage of the online resources to makeup for their writing weaknesses; making final year research projects the most common education researches with plagiarism.

What is plagiarism?
Plagiarism is a word used to describe the presentation of a borrowed thought, idea and written expression of another author without an attempt to acknowledge the original source.

It is very observable that undergraduates hardly miss out the part where they have to quote an author in their education projects. Probably because they ensure to have a longer queue of references, citations and bibliographies at the end of the research paper page. Meanwhile they commit a more serious offense silently; lets talk about it.

Paraphrasing, that’s the word to describe the act of trying to change the words of an intellectual work you actually copied online or from a book so that it passes the same message and meaning which the original author intended without any attempt to acknowledge the original author.
Plagiarism is a very common research misconduct that undergraduates indulge in among other acts of plagiarism.

Common forms of plagiarism associated with education projects.

• Paraphrasing: The act of restructuring a sentence and changing the original words of the author with yours to pass on the same message.
• Using the exact words of the author without quoting him/her
• Quoting the author’s words without citation.
• Citing an author that does not exist
• Referencing an author who you have not cited in your work
Among others...

How to avoid plagiarism in education project

• Paraphrase but ensure to cite whose original idea it is. Paraphrasing requires no quotation marks or inverted commas, just the acknowledgment will do justice.
• Quote the exact words of an author and enclose the words in a quotation mark (“ ”) to show they are not your words and ensure to cite the author’s name, the year of publication and the exact page where you have drawn the idea from.
• Ensure not to cite a non existent author to make up for your research misconduct .
• Include a reference page at the end of your research page
• Do not include an author in your reference page when you have not cited the work in your research
• Use plagiarism-check tools if necessary.

Intellectual misconduct and theft is a punishable offense; do not fall for it.
EducationExams Malpractice Makes Teachers More Vulnerable Than Students These Days. by eduprojectng(op): 3:52pm On Sep 22, 2020
It is not an exertion of opinion that examination malpractices makes more teachers than students vulnerable to sanction these days; it’s a statement of fact. Exams malpractice is one the major vices academic institutions do their best to kick against among students as part of the quality assurance goals the education sectors aims to achieve. But the recent engagement of teachers, who were meant to be custodians of these rules, in malpractices is quite alarming.

Check out education projects on examination malpractices

Just yesterday, as reported in the news today, Delta state government has implemented sanctions on 41 teachers over examination malpractice and poor supervision of the West African secondary school certificate examination. To be precise, the 41 teachers were banned from exams supervision for the next 3years and deferred from promotion by one year.

Did I hear you say that serves them right?

Examination malpractices are often taught to be an act put up by students at secondary and undergraduates level. Teachers are however overtaking the race in malpractices. Niger state government has also reported similar case with higher level of malpractice, this time with teachers forging certificates of completion of graduation from the college of education Niger state. More than 40 of those cases were uncovered and withdrawn from the states payroll.

What does that suggest if we record such prevailing cases on a regular?

It is becoming even clearer the fact that a lot has gone wrong among teachers, students alike. Students who later become teachers carryover the malpractice habits to their profession all to make quick ends.

Few points can be deduced from here:

• Low remuneration: Teachers and examination syndicates are mostly lured or motivated to take bribe and allow malpractices in examinations because their pay is nothing compared to the huge sum they can gather from helpless students during external exams.

• Lack of self discipline: I am forced to question the self discipline of these teachers for allowing themselves to be manipulated and used by students to pass examinations.

• Lack of job opportunities: the case as reported in Niger state above is clear enough to suggest what it is like in the Nigeria labour market. So bad that untrained teachers now purchase certificates from institutions to secure jobs they weren’t trained for. Too bad that students end up becoming victims of such practices

• Quality of teaching and learning needs check: If the two cases so reported have been prevalent over time before being uncovered, then we must check the quality of teaching and learning that has come by.
EducationFG Need Supports From Ngos To Provide ASUU, Tertiary Education With Needs by eduprojectng(op): 8:45pm On Sep 14, 2020
If quality Education must strive, then we must learn not to rely solely on the government especially if the government is such that pays little attention to quality education and intellectual development.

As schools set to reopen, the Federal government of Nigeria is faced with protests from the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, over a situation we may consider a bridge of agreement. Following recent trends, it is obvious that ASUU members are facing hard times and not finding it cool with the FG of Nigeria following neglect and sheer insensitivity to the needs of university Education.

Recall that ASUU had earlier gone on strike, March 2020, putting a hold to academic activities even before the pandemic struck. We can hardly count the many times this has happened but it turns out each time pushing undergraduates and all their academic activities backward. So one is left to reconsider and imagine that government as a stand-alone entity may not be able provide the many needs for quality university education; but with supports from Non-governmental organisations, the education prospects are achievable

More of collaborative efforts like Rosula and Igbenedion’ exchange programmes will change the game

Religious bodies like churches as well as humanitarian foundations have been at the corner, lending arms to both primary, secondary and university education across Nigeria. But recently, The Rosula foundation is offering something big that will benefit a larger sector of the economy.

Igbenedion University, Okada, in Edo state has finally concluded negotiations to collaborate in an exchange programme with Rosula foundation. They intent to “jointly set up a business school where chief executives and senior level managers of public, private and corporate organisations would be able to acquire postgraduate degree and certification in management courses”.

With such interventions seasonally on a larger scale, a wave of burden is lifted from the shoulders of the FG. Nigeria is large enough to be catered for, alone by the government without lapses especially when we talk of quality education. The consistent protest arising from ASUU every season is a clear indicator that there are more needs to be met than the government alone can provide.

Talk about the best Universities with almost perfect learning facilities and you will have a list of private Universities carefully run and managed by private organisations with even stronger management paradigms. That alone rings a louder bell. But then we only have to worry about the poor and vulnerable, which are left at the mercy of outcomes from FG vs ASUU unending negotiations and consistent disagreement.

But here is a wakeup call to humanitarians, NGOs and private organisations to support with impactful services such as scholarship schemes, empowerment and other humanitarian acts for the sake of poverty elevation and crime rate reduction.
EducationStay Connected With Your Study Group Using These Recent Networking Hacks by eduprojectng(op): 4:14pm On Sep 10, 2020
There are many ways you can still connect with your study group without ever feeling left-out. In this article, I’m going to put you through several hacks that’s are cost effective, accommodating with bonding features to help you connect and network with your study team members.

Study groups are one of the best things that has happened to undergraduates since it has the potency to support students study habit. In fact, research has confirmed that in the Education atmosphere, students tend to find encouragement to perform better in a circle of their fellow than at home. These scenarios are made obvious at project based tasks which often involves peer-to-peer collaboration, and sometimes individual tasks like research projects often done at the final year levels.

learn more about study habits and students academic performance

The sudden event of the pandemic however, has brought us into our new normal which you and your study group can take advantage of.

Digital is the new normal. Connecting digitally with your study group is very possible, cost effective and require very little effort. You can plan your next move as schools heads towards resumption, take a visionary look at your next academic research move and prepare for the project tasks ahead.
Perfect online facilities that keeps you connected with your study group.

They may not be totally new to you, but here is how well you and your study group can leverage its features for the best.

Telegram:

Study groups are better when they are in smaller circles but if you have a larger number, then telegram is for you. No one will ever miss out as every discussion made will still remain fresh at every members end.

All you have to do is to create a group on telegram, send the links across to your study group members. And if they don’t have the app, they can easily click the download button and proceed.

There, you all can share links of ebooks, share your thoughts on topical issues and allow your thoughts flow one after another in a discussion.

Zoom:

Zoom has one of the greatest features which has gained popularity during the pandemic and post pandemic and it has been very useful for groups, organizations and, networkers and team members. And I think it is going to very useful for your study group as well.
With this great future and if you will be needing to see your study group members physically, like you want to have a face to face contact, I think zoom has a perfect future.

There, you host a live video by yourselves; the only thing you have to worry about is the data consumption since it has to do with video and again everyone of you wouldn’t have to be talking at the same time, it has to be one at a time. Meaning that every other person has to turn off their microphones while one person speaks at a time.

With good network connectivity, zoom is just perfect for you and you study guys.

Whatsapp group presentations:

With a smartphone, you can easily create a WhatsApp group, organise and share presentation sessions among your study group members.

Education research projects over the years has projected that students learn to fit in faster with learning when they study to teach their peers. Doing so helps them break down the lessons into bits of knowledge than their teacher. That alone makes learning memorable and fun. You may decide to organise and share the responsibilities among yourselves, making each member an active participant in the group.

Although these web applications can serve as a stand alone group study facility, you can leverage them for different occasions and purposes just you and your study group.
EducationCareer Odds That Favour Undergraduates The Most. by eduprojectng(op): 9:08am On Sep 09, 2020
Looks so much like undergraduates are the most endangered in the cycle of unemployment both at the major and minor economic sectors. But seeking to establish an astounding career odds and going against convention can be the only way out.
Now allow me to explain myself.

I come from a country, I don’t know about you, where the best you are told to do for yourself is;

• Get a jamb form
• Take a jamb examination and make good grades
• Apply for admission in an accredited university and pass the screening exercises
• Get in and face studies strictly.
• Take up a research project topic, roundup with examinations and assessments
• After graduation, get a job if you find one. And if not, blame the government because you have fulfilled all righteousness.

Because these are the regular societal expectations, it shapes our perception and perspective about career inclinations including how we define it.
But I really hope that your career odds will increase in your favour after the next few paragraphs are done processing in your memory.
Welcome to the world of change for learners only.

“In a time of change , only learners will inherit the world, while the learned will find themselves in a beautiful world that doesn’t exist”, Albert Einstein .
Welcome to the new world of knowledge and for learners “and if you feel you are learned, then sorry you’re old" my Boss would say. We are more concerned right now about the kind of education undergraduates get lately. Such that will set odds in their favour at their career level without leaving you at the mercy of any employer.

You should take all your academic curriculum activities including your final year research projects if you must but then it is necessary you give a chance to self-development and the opportunities you stand to gain.

Possibilities the digital world brings to undergraduates and students alike

• Improved communication systems
• Decentralized method of work
• Decentralized currencies
• Digitization
• Augmented realities and virtual realities
• Artificial Intelligence

Career odds that favour undergraduates the most

Social media marketing; this is the acquired skill of marketing and promoting business awareness to its targeted publics using social media pages leveraging the features they offer.

Digital marketing; on a larger scope, digital marketing comprises all activities aimed at promoting a business visibility online. Inclusive are search engine optimisation, search engine marketing, social media marketing, copy writing and more. It’s quite broad and loaded with jaw dropping skills needed for a constantly growing digital world.

Photo editing: learning how to edit photos with AI embedded tools gives you opportunities to become a photopreneur, or lands you contact or insider job especially if your skills are fashioned like the heavenly.

Other very important skills open for your consideration includes, coding, graphics designing, the arts of public speaking and video editing.

If you need to be reminded; as undergraduates, learning, unlearning and relearning is the odds that digital has bought. If you have ever wished for a blooming career and future, you need to take-up a digital skill to make your career odds even pronounced while also taking your studies and research seriously as a university finalist.
EducationMagical Ways To Make Education Easy For ‘dull Students’ by eduprojectng(op): 7:01am On Mar 05, 2020
For good reasons, which I would consider acceptable, formal education doesn’t seem to favor some students. While that is not their fault at all, illiteracy is not an option in this era of fleeting knowledge and experience. So to make learning and education easy and interesting to students themselves, an attempt has to be made to go the extra mile.

I’m being careful to call any student ‘dull’ because actually no one is dull; there is always that aspect of knowledge that everyone fits rightly into. So trying someone’s intelligent quotients as done at secondary schools, primary school and at the university level does not give the best result. So, through this article, you will be made to munch the magical ways to make education and learning easy for people who perceive formal education as difficult.

Magical ways to make education easy

Understand the students’ psycho-makeup
The first step to winning students’ heart over is penetrating their psychological make-up and winning them over afterwards. No two students understands and learns at the same pace per time; so it’s up to the student’s coach to treat the students’ learning needs with utmost concern.

Get students’ attention with their hobby
If you truly want learning easy for your students, teaching academic lessons may be the wrong subject to introduce in the first and second learning session with them. Start with their hobby or what interests them.

Introduce project based learning to the curriculum
My basic school headmaster kept saying that …”we learn to do by doing…” and that’s how the principle works in earth even in mars. If you, the teacher or tutor introduce project based learning to the students, they learn with images of what they have learnt boldly written in their mind.

Through project based learning, students’ learn to collaborate in case of a practical group work and engage their minds independently in thought of the next right thing to do so the project could come out best. Theory academic work allows someone else to think for you; it doesn’t sound well for a student who wants to do upgrade.

One major reason why discussions about relationship and sexuality earn public interest most often is because such issues are very practical and happens almost on daily basis and involves everyone in one way or the other.

So to make education become more interesting than you think, make learning a practical approach and not an abstract knowledge.
EducationWhy Nigeria May Still Depend On Foreign Agricultural Products by eduprojectng(op): 1:53pm On Feb 28, 2020
Agricultural products in Nigeria at the subsistence level is manageable to an extent specially at rural areas where local farmers produce what they can eat with their family and sell a little as exchange for other food stuffs. To compete favorably in the global agricultural market, it is quit unfortunate that, with what we have, we may still depend on foreign agricultural products. How did I know this?

Checking through some of the agricultural project topics for research conducted here in Nigeria, I took time to study a research from the lot about - a Survey of Tractors and Implements availability and farm mechanization. The study revealed that the average farm size in what seems like a commercial farm structure is less than five hectares of land. Plus tractor use intensity was far below recommended average.

With this in view, Nigeria may continue to depend on foreign agricultural products when the quantity produced cannot go round for the entire masses.

Secondly, due to sub-standard equipment, agricultural products will not be processed to a standard that gains acceptance to the majority of the masses even at the international market. For instance, the idea of closing the borders for rice importation has raised intense debate in the Red chambers and among the masses. Even business men understand the market demand of foreign rice over local rice which is way cheaper than foreign rice.

Funny enough, Nigeria can afford agricultural equipment for refining rice, but the way agricultural projects are politicized often frustrates development in the agricultural sector.

Again, some perishable agricultural products hardly find place for storage after harvest. The loss incurred by waste of such agric. Products cuts down on the consumable quantity and makes them hardly available on a ‘rainy day’.

Now, preserving these agricultural products would be a perfect idea, but it seems a very difficult task because we do not have the technology to do so. Instead, we tend to depend on the foreign products when we are really in need of such products.
Education4 Books I Read For My First Degree Project Topic In Mass Communication by eduprojectng(op): 4:32pm On Feb 12, 2020
Reading is an act that takes you round a circuit of knowledge up to higher realms of understanding. Judging from my experience as an undergraduate, reading is a ladder; I climbed through for mind-blowing experiences and adventure and realized the introspective sense it gives, especially as regards the project topics I choose for my research in mass communication.

Frankly speaking, starting my project in mass communication that year was a bit of hard nut, I barely knew how to begin with the “background of the research” study which is the introductory part of the project. I knew something has to be done, so I went back to the library to consult books. These books at the very early part doesn’t seem to add directly to my project topic, but delving deep into them cleared my doubts and ushered me into the world of undergraduate research in communication.

Allow me introduce you to few of the books I read for my project topic in mass communication

"Introduction to mass communication"
Reading this book “Introduction to mass communication” took me through a mind shopping for my project topic. I got full grasp of the tenets of mass communication, the aspects that it is made of as well as what scholars have done and written the human communication parlance.

“Theories of mass communication”
To add to my mind shopping cart, I had to read theories of mass communication which was very necessary for the completion of my project chapter two. I was exposed to lots of communication theories of which three made it to my project research. I hope you do know that my choice of theories was influenced by my project topic.

“Journals of communication”
These journals of communication I consulted at the time constitute several researches by scholars of communication in various specs. I needed to borrow a line or two of their ideas to add to mine.

“Dynamics of mass communication”
This is another book that is packed with a little of almost all I wanted to augment my research. From broadcasting, to journalism, to theories of communication, I found this book stocked with them.

Although only the research papers found in the journals of communication added particularly t my project topic, these books were at the forefront making my undergraduate project research a bed of roses afterwards.
EducationWhat Do Education Projects Help Students Learn? by eduprojectng(op): 7:58am On Jan 26, 2020
• Personal driven learning

• Problem solving skills

• Critical thinking

• Time management

• Project management skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work with others

• They also learn to develop team spirit

Most of the education project topics for undergraduates proffer practical teaching guides and method for trained teachers who have been well equipped for the classroom. But aside from the fact the education is a field of academic discipline; this article particularly wishes to use the term education operationally by way of using education as in academics.

Education, as an area of human endeavor has its yokes and burdens which everyone who passes through it must bear. One of which is research projects. The research projects are first approached with the necessity of the education project topics approval and later amplified with other items in the table of content for elaborate analysis and scope.

By giving elaborate analysis to their research through the data they have gathered, undergraduates are exposed to diverse experiences through experimentation, observation, interviews, content analysis, case study, surveys and others too numerous to mention. Putting aside this widely known kind of exposure, there are series of knowledge and practical based insight that students learn while undertaking their undergraduate research project from the point of choosing their education project topics to the end of their research.

So, what do education projects help students learn big?

The following are what undergraduates learn indirectly while undertaking their research projects;
• Personal driven learning

• Problem solving skills

• Critical thinking

• Public speaking skills and project defense mechanism

• Time management

• Project management skills

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work with others

• They also learn to develop team spirit

Project students do not really see these when they undertake education projects, maybe that’s why they take projects really lightly. So the next time you see someone undertaking an undergraduate project, help them pay attention to what is available for grabs.
EducationHow Undergraduate Students Can Turn Academic Fears Into Accomplishments by eduprojectng(op): 1:42pm On Jan 22, 2020
• Get yourself a minder

• Develop and transparent and honest relationship with your minder and trust him for help

• Prioritize you to-do-list

• Smile more than worry

• If you can help yourself out, getting worried should be put at bay

Fear, if you let it, can build up to affect your sense of belonging, self-confidence, pride and affect your performances academically and proceeds to induce weakness, stress, fear, lack of confidence and inferiority complex. However, you can as well rehabilitate your academic confidence by fighting for what makes you strong, confident and happy.

Through this medium, on that note, I intend to guide students on how to come of academic fears and turning them into accomplishments.

Academic scenarios that can induces fear naturally on students include;

• Deadline for completing and submitting academic assignments, research materials and the likes

• Public speaking both impromptu and rehearsed

• Fear of being mocked for answering a question wrongly

• Fear of being turned down if aiming at interacting with authority figures

• Inferiority complex

How to turn you academic fear into accomplishments

Get yourself a minder
A minder, a mentor which ever you wish to tag it, you will need some of their services and attention to help yourself out of your academic fears. The saying that a problem shared is a problem half solved goes well with this very tip. A minder will help you out if you are willing to trust their lead.

Develop a transparent and honest relationship with your minder
The minder you are going to fetch for yourself should be able to earn your trust such that you will open up to share your worries and fears. Just like your lawyer, any information you provide for your minder is what they will run with to help your psychological need. Make the relationship with your minder honest and transparent to make the mind-work a quick process.

Prioritize your to-do-list
What should be in your to-do-list if I may? If you asked me, I would say those academic activities that you struggle with. You could register for a counseling programe where you will be charged on best practices in public speaking, overcoming inferiority complex and the likes.

Smile more than worry
When you smile, you erase the worry lines on your face; the same thing happens in your inside when you smile continually. For instance, when you appear before a project research panel frightened, you can ease yourself with a smile before presenting your research material proper before the panel

There is a better way to worry
Instead of worrying about your academic fears, it is better you worry about how to get out of your fears. So the next time, you put fear at bay and go after the means. There is always a better way to worry.
EducationWriting My Final Year Research Wasn’t Tough; I Decided To Share How by eduprojectng(op): 12:59pm On Jan 17, 2020
Writing my final year research project wasn’t as tough as I initially anticipated. After the period I presented several three different research project topics, I got a turn down from our director general projects. I had to consult my favorite lecturer who finally helped me rework the project topics that was initially rejected. Finally, I got my research project topic approved. Then time actually started counting for my undergraduate project to be completed.

Writing my project
Actually, I didn’t start writing my project on time after the period of choosing my research project topics. I felt really reluctant and also thought it was very difficult starting. But then I started writing:-

With the introduction (chapter 1)
I actually started by doing a quick research about sustainable development goals, which was a background topic that birth my project topic which basically is about maternal health issues. After that, I penned down a detailed discussion about what I have gathered from the information I got from sustainable development goals and linked it favorably to my research project topic.

Next, I moved to define the terms maternal health and other related terms I was going to use throughout my research project writing. I think that was the most engaging part of my project chapter 1.

Still in this same chapter, I continued with the statement of research problem, objectives and research questions.

Writing my chapter 2
My project chapter two was more an essay part of my research, there was a lot to read and consult and even more to reference and cite. I really couldn’t find my way around it very easily, so I consulted my department communication journals, the textbooks I had, my university library as well as the internet. Many times, I visited my lecturers offices, asking for books they could recommend; interestingly they did recommend some which was quite helpful throughout the research.

The materials for literature review and all was down and set plus I knew my way around the theories that points to my research, it made it even easier.

Writing my chapter 3
The chapter three of a research project is usually the smallest. Reason is that it only contains the information about the research methodology that is to be used for the research. It explains in details every little step including the research samples, population, the research technique and other methods that will be employed based on the requirements of your discipline or department.

So for me, that’s exactly what I did following the guideline that is required for my research project topic.

Other things I did well
• I followed ever instruction
• I took corrections seriously
• I brought back the corrected copies in time
