The National Examination Council on Friday released the results of the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examinations internals.

The Council, through the Registrar, Prof. Dantana Wushishi, said 878,925 candidates, representing 71.64 per cent, made five credits, including Mathematics and English language.

While addressing newsmen at the Council’s Headquarters in Minna, Prof. Wushishi said out of the 1,233,631 candidates that registered for the examination, only 1,209,992 sat for it.

The National Examination Council (NECO) has said that it will soon release the results of the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) conducted nationwide last July.

The Head of Information and Public Affairs of the organization, Alhaji Azeez Sani, told THISDAY in a telephone interview in Minna Monday that marking and collation of the results have been completed.

Sani said: “We have completed the marking and collation of the results. Very soon, we will release the results.”

He did not disclose what was causing the delay in the release of the results, but he assuaged candidates' anxieties that their dreams will be realized shortly.

Over the years, NECO has made it a point to disseminate the results of its examinations no later than 90 days after the last paper was written.
Over 1,200 candidates sat for the examination with each paying not less than N9,500 for writing the tests.

This is to advise the general public that from Monday, October 25, 2021, to Thursday, March 31, 2022, online applications for admission into the 74 Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna would be available.
