MY ASSESSMENT OF OUR EXPERIENCE UNDER BUHARI/APC 2016 By Edward Victor Chidiebere (aka EDVICKDGREATEST) So far so good so bad, the Nigerian people have gained nothing rewarding from this government ever since they assumed power 19months ago. The peoples concerted efforts to bring about a change to better their lives have turned out to be the greatest political scam in our democratic history as a nation. The buhari/apc led government, rather than show leadership so as to inspire good followership, have succeeded immensely in establishing an image and character as ones who lacks the mental wherewithal and still very crude in terms of the know-how on the best ways of moving us forward. 2016 will be remembered as a year our democracy got firmly hijacked by reprobate who performed wonderfully well in negatively reversing the fortunes of their countrymen and left them miserable. Under the watch of this government, a once booming economy was ushered into the worst of recession and the more she struggles to survive and escape the scourge, the harder it gets strangled the more. Also, rather than create the 3million jobs it promised annually, the government with its policy inconsistencies took away the means of livelihoods of more than 3million Nigerians. Many on paid employment get sacked in their thousands whereas the ones on self employment are not spared in anyway. SME's are not receiving the needed support to thrive and more businesses seems to be closing on daily basis. On the aspect of infrastructures and social amenities, Nigerians continue to live their lives like people still languishing in stone age. The basic infrastructures in place are either dilapidated or malfunctioning and there is acute lack of maintenance culture both by the government and the citizenry. The provided social amenities have become the greatest avenue government uses to defraud the masses who pay heavily at huge financial costs for services they do not receive in decent quality and quantity, and majority do not even get served at all but they pay. Commenting a little on our electoral system, prior to this regime of buhari/apc, Nigeria electoral system improved commendably. A country that was once seen never to get it right as far as holding credible elections is concerned began to surprise the global community. A country where a military dictator once nullified an acclaimed free and fair elections, and also, a democratic president wanted to make himself a life ruler through the backdoor constitutional manipulation(thanks to JAH his plans failed), could now get majority of their leaders elected on the basis of the votes truely casts by the masses. The INEC being the electoral umpire woke up to her responsibility as the main institution for sustenance of our democracy. Worthy of note is that, a sitting president could ever accept loosing, conceding defeat and calling the winner to congratulate him. Today, all of these have gone with the wild and crazy wind of evil of the change government. Elections conducted by the current government is no longer a representation of the peoples will. The celebrated standards reached by the past government is no longer there. Today, INEC have again become a criminal partner of the ruling party which has put our democracy under a disastrous threat. What about human rights and privileges in a buhari/apc regime? You and I will bear witness to the glaring fact that, this government has no regard for what we deserve, how we get what we deserve and protecting us from being denied what we should enjoy as humans and as Nigerians. The government is seriously into the business of oppressing and suppressing Nigerians. Court orders are no more obeyed and the right of a Nigerian to be granted bail and released is abused. To tell the president the bitter truth of his clueless leadership enrolls you automatically to the academy of his perceived enemies and you will be severely punished, only and unless you jump sheep and become a member of his party and confess as your lord and political saviour. My people, if I am to ask, is any Nigerian guaranteed of security of his life and properties today(excluding those in corridors of power)? The answer is a resounding NO! This is one country where the lives of the citizens has no premium placed on it. People just die for reasons that should not even cost an animal its life. I have not even mentioned of the rampage of the fulani herdsmen who seems so empowered to emback on genocide unrestricted simply because a fulani president is heading Nigeria. The fulani herdsmen has simply changed their job description from what of rearing livestock, and now, to that of incessant attcks and killings of communities at will. The matter is made worse by their brothers in crime called boko haram who uses the blood of innocent Nigerians to quench their satanic taste. Our security agencies are no longer armed to protect the people, but to get them victimized and killed. Today, at the slightest of human error and provocation, a Nigerian looses his or her life just like that. We are no longer safe and there is none to run to. To be contd 30 December 2016 at 11:59 |
The problem with some of these bodies is the high level of politicization and unregulated romance with the people in power, which whittle down the weight of their voice and stand. Ordinarily, NMA can act in ways and manner that will affect our medical sector positively |
Give the fool strong drink and he will forget his sorrows Give the wise strong drink and he will remember his sorrows. Give the fool a sword and he will turn it against you Give the wise a sword and he will turn it against your enemies Exalt the fool and see pride take over him Exalt the wise and he will get humble Give the fool the throne and he will impoverish the people Give the wise the throne and he will establish the people Chastise the fool and he counts you as his enemy Chastise the wise and you will be named as the best of his friends Destinies get ruined in the hands of a fool Destinies get nurtured in the hands of the wise Written by me Edward Victor C. aka IF NOT GOD...EDVICKDGREAT. |
A man who turned down juicy offers of oil well and properties in Dubai, for the sake of a dream(Biafra) he claimed to be the purpose of his creation, can no longer be taken as a joker. An average Nigerian elected and appointed officeholder can sale the people for a morsel of bread, but, not this one. KANU, if you continue in same spirit and determination, even God cannot allow any man stop you seriously. God honours a man that sacrifice beyond his immediate greed for what he want. Think about it |
I expected NMA (Nigeria Medical Association), to hv staged a nationwide protest by now, calling on Mr President to return home and receive better treatment from our local hospitals and clinics. The continued London stay of Mr President on the account of illness is a slap on their faces. Let them demand for an immediate return of Mr president sick body down to Nigeria now. Our gbogborishe and ori is strong enough to put Mr President back to health. If a president can't trust his own country's health system, who will? |
Which doctor & hospital even certified buhari to be physically and mentally fit for that presidential election of 2015? We need to know! |
Dare to Vote for buhari again, and we will take you to psychiatric. We can't entertain mad electorates come 2019 |
Its not sin for a nation to cry unto God for d death of a wicked president. Should God be moved by their tears, nkwe nkwe ga ekwe |
I have always made my position known on the agitation crisis. To me, Biafra simply means a better Nigeria. If the Nigeria society is perceived to be fair enough to all and sundry, the agitation will die a natural death. But, considering the messy ways and manner the Nigerian people are governed, the emphasis on majority and minority ethnics and tribes, the allocation of development programmes to the tune of 95% to geopolitical zones perceived to hv voted for a president, and the 5% to those opposed to him, disparity of measures in the assessments of educational and other opportunities in Nigeria whereby some regions get admitted into universities and colleges of education with as low as scoring ordinary 2, against one scoring 150 but denied same admission, abuse of human rights and incessant interference with the constitution just to suit the interests of a few, the flamboyant use of national treasury by the few that are expected to serve the masses, at the detriment of the people's wellbeing, one should not expect less but more agitations. Tackle these problems and emback on massive development of infrastructures and social amenities to lift Nigerians from the era of being held hostage by suffering for the basic things of life Tip of the iceberg sir |
I can lead Nigeria I will be a great and visionary leader I'm not too young to be our president 2023 |
