Don't worry though, cross isn't gonna end up like that. He comes across as a weekend/party drinker, not an addict. He doesn't get up in the morning and reach for the nearest bottle. Neither is he unable to function without alcohol. And even though, he does get hyper when high, he doesn't get aggressive and confrontational. He is a jolly good fella. He is gonna be fine.
