We are seeking to recruit for our client a qualified IT Internal Audit professional to be part of the Internal Audit Department that carries out internal audits, internal controls assessment, investigations, management audits, due diligence reviews, etc. The position is based in Lagos.

Responsibilities include planning and execution of internal audit reviews across the organisation.
The candidate should be capable of:
- Carrying out audit reviews as assigned by the Internal Audit Manager;
- Complete the assignment allocated within the budgeted time;
- Keeping track of the time spent on each assignment and bringing any delays to the notice of the Audit Manage in a timely manner;
- Perform risk assessments on business processes, IT applications, IT hardware and networks and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls in place to mitigate those risks;
- Document the audit program and get it approved by the Audit Manager;
- Carry out fieldwork;
- Document the findings and discuss the findings with the appropriate staff;
- Prepare the draft report and handover the project file complete in all respects to the Audit Manager for review.
Skills
The candidate should possess the following experience and skills:
• Minimum 2 years experience in carrying out IT application internal audits in large organizations
• Experience in carrying out IT application audits in the Information, Communication and Technology sector
• Exposure to Corporate Governance principles
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Effective people management skills with an ability to deliver high quality work in a challenging environment
• Preference will be given to candidates with audit background
Education
Qualifications in IT, Accounting, Management and/or Auditing. A certification in Oracle and other data management courses highly essential and compulsory.
