I hope this association will not initiate strikes to demand better working conditions and alms. |
MrOposter:A technical glitch. Do not worry, it will be resolved soon. |
People keep smoking because the immediate, powerful forces of addiction and habit overwhelmingly outweigh the abstract, long-term knowledge of health risks. The addiction is both physical (nicotine) and mental (coping mechanism, ritual), making smoking one of the hardest addictions to break. |

Nazgul:This is my submission: Private schools in Nigeria give homework to 2-year-olds primarily to meet parental demand for visible academic progress and to market themselves as elite institutions. I must admit, this practice is not based on educational best practices and can be counterproductive. In Finland, schools there strongly believe that the assignment for a toddler is to play, rest, and spend quality time with their family. They see the home as a separate but equally important environment for learning life skills, not as an extension of the academic classroom. The Nigerian government could stop this practice through the Federal and State Ministries of Education with rigid enforcement. The best learning for a toddler happens through guided play, exploration, and rich social interaction, not through structured worksheets. |
A tough time for Ekiti residents! The economic team of the governor of Ekiti State been caught pants down! |
Biafra freedom fighters now abduct and hold members of the Igbo ethnic group to obtain ransom from the SE people through their state governors. I fear for a massive influx of Igbo people into Yorubaland because of this new feather (kidnapping) that has been added to the insecurity cap worn by the SE region of Nigeria. |

What Otedola and Dangote share can best be described as an intricate friendship, woven from various threads of mutual support, personal growth, and shared experiences. It's a dynamic friendship that has evolved over time. |
owobokiri:Igbo people and victim mentality are 5&6. If an average Igbo person didn't blame Yoruba people for their self-inflicted wounds, he would feel incomplete. Learn your history and stop nauseating Yoruba people with your victim mentality. Yoruba people didn't cause your problems. Hold the likes of Ojukwu, ZIK, Ironsi, etc, accountable for the problems you Igbo people are facing today. Are the Yoruba people behind the killings going on in the South East presently, and are the Yoruba people sponsoring IPOB to cause the destruction of lives and properties in the South East of Nigeria? Igbo must stop blaming Yorubas for the failures and/or short-sightedness of the past Igbo leaders. Only 4 countries fought for Nigeria during the civil war, namely the UK, the Soviet Union, the USA and Egypt, while France, Portugal, Israel, China, mercenaries and South Africa and Rhodesia fought exclusively for Biafra. |
amaridigital:To blame Professor Wole Soyinka for his short-sightedness is a matter of your personal opinion or judgment, but it is not out of place to understand why he took the position he took. The position he took was not based on "pity" for Igbo people but on a profound moral and philosophical conviction. However, Professor Wole Soyinka was not being "emotional" in the way you opined; the renowned playwright was adhering to a rigid moral code that condemns violence and dehumanization, no matter the source. He wasn't pleading for the "enemy" but for the humanity of Nigeria itself, which he believed would be destroyed forever if it pursued a path of total annihilation. The application of this logic of yours, “WHY PITY SOME ENEMIES YOU DESTROY THEM,” to a civil war is where it becomes highly dangerous and ethically monstrous. It was clear that the Biafran war was not a war against a foreign invader; it was a war against fellow Nigerians. A strategy of total annihilation would have meant the intentional destruction of millions of Nigerian citizens of Igbo ethnicity. This is not a military strategy; it is genocide. Your labeling an entire ethnic group as "beasts" is highly condemnable by all Nigerians who are not given to tribal bigotry. This kind of language is the prerequisite for attacks, and it abolishes the humanity of a people and leaves them vulnerable. Professor Wole Soyinka, from his writings and actions, did not see the Igbo people as "beasts." His intervention was an attempt to stop dehumanization on all sides. President Ahmed Tinubu's “pampering” is not based on "pity" or “emotion”... You are struggling to put on your inner glasses, as your ingrained biases make it difficult to see that his “pampering” is nothing but a cold political calculation to win Igbo votes living within and outside South East for APC in Local elections, State elections and Federal elections. |
Dazzay:Though you are entitled to your opinion, you may be suffering from acute myopism. Look, even before the civil war officially started in 1967, Soyinka was deeply alarmed by the rising ethnic tensions and the pogroms against Igbos in the North. He recognized the federal government's failure to protect its citizens and the inevitability of secession if nothing was done. |
Nnamdipapa:The ban isn't an arbitrary one. It's, of course, the effect of two highly developed regions embracing two vitally diverse approaches to food safety and animal welfare. The US and Canada you mentioned, their model is to wash the egg to sanitise the outside and refrigerate it relentlessly to keep bacteria from growing, whereas the EU model is to vaccinate the hen, keep the farm ultra-clean, and preserve the egg's natural defence system so it doesn't need washing or constant refrigeration. From my academic experience of political economy, US/Canada/EU systems are so different and built on opposing principles that they are incompatible for trade. The EU's regulations require imported products to meet their specific standards, which US and Canadian eggs generally do not. |
A crate of organic eggs is cheaper in Nigeria than in the United States, where you reside, because our farming and certification systems in Nigeria are far less developed than in the United States, and because the production of organic eggs by Nigerian poultry farmers here does not undergo the same strict standards and costs as in the United States, resulting in lower prices due to a lack of egg production regulation in Nigeria. |

esnbrutality:Other ethnic groups in the South East region of Nigeria may or may not be in favour of Biafran secession, despite the fact that the region is primarily Igbo. The Efik, Ibibio, Annang, Ogoni, and Ijaw are a few of these groups. Although some members of these communities may show support for Biafra, others may not, demonstrating the range of viewpoints in the South East as a whole. |
SeeWahala:This is the answer to your question. Lieutenant-Colonel Patrick Chukwuma "Kaduna" Nzeogwu (26 February 1937 – 29 July 1967), a Nigerian military officer who played a leading role in the 1966 Nigerian coup d'état, which overthrew the First Nigerian Republic, was an Eastern (Igbo) man. His allegiance was to Biafra. He was a part of the Biafran army during the Nigerian civil war. |

Tinubumustgo:Yes, Ukraine is still actively recruiting foreign soldiers to join its International Legion to fight against Russia. The process involves applying through the International Legion website (https://ildu.mil.gov.ua/news/how-join-international-legions-defense-ukraine) undergoing an interview and assessment, and potentially participating in training and deployment. |
binary123:You are suffering from anosmia. Solution 1: antibiotics, antihistamines and decongestants. Antibiotics: if anosmia is due to bacteria sinus infection. Antihistamines: if anosmia is due to allergic rhinitis. Decongestants: if anosmia is due to nasal congestion. Solution 2: radio therapy ( for head/neck cancers). See an ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor) for a proper medical evaluation. |
Growing up, I've heared so many stories about Mami-water(mermaid) and some seem convincing though but I still have my doubts. For those wandering what a Mami-water(mermaid) is, they are sea creatures, with tail instead of legs and a human body. Some believe these creatures possess some supernatural power to make someone rich, some believe they could give someone fame, some believe they are spirits that only come out at night time while some believe they are peaceful and the most beautiful sea creatures(the list is endless).. Infact some persons actually call beautiful girls Mami-water(mermaid) some even admire beautiful girls saying, you're more beautiful than a mami-water(mermaid).. My question now is, do this creature's actually exist? Or is it just another myth? What story have you heared about them?Yes, it's just another myth. |
Truths9ja:United States of America is not a thorough structured country because of its race based Immigration Act. The United States of America uses racial quotas by limiting the number of people who can arrive in the country to 2% of the population of United States citizens. Germany and Japan are countries with more structured and efficient systems than the USA. Canada, New Zealand and Australia are countries with a well-structured immigration system that's less prone to racism and unnecessary visa rejections to Africans who meet the requirements for entry visas. |
Infoguy666:I truly sympathise with the families of the crash victims and the government of Ghana. May God give the families of the air mishap the fortitude to bear the loss. |
