Based on 2025/2026 data, the Big 4 firms in Nigeria (KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young) provide competitive compensation for graduate trainees, generally ranging from ₦300,000 to over ₦430,000 monthly.

KPMG Nigeria Graduate Trainee Salary (2025/2026)

Monthly Pay: Estimated between ₦300,000 and ₦434,000 for entry-level positions.

Performance Factor: Some estimates suggest that chartered graduates (holding ACA/ACCA) may earn on the higher end, near ₦434,000 monthly, while others might start slightly lower, though still within the high range.

Annual Package: Approximately ₦1,200,000 to over ₦5,000,000 yearly, depending on the specific position (Audit, Tax, Advisory).

Benefits: In addition to the base salary, trainees at KPMG are eligible for performance bonuses, overtime pay, and study leave for professional exams.

Other Big 4 and Top Firms (2025 Comparison)

1. Deloitte Nigeria: Graduate trainees reportedly earn around ₦408,000 monthly

2. PwC Nigeria: Offers ₦400,000 or higher monthly, often regardless of whether the recruitment is already chartered.

3. Ernst & Young Nigeria: Recently increased entry-level salaries to around ₦410,000 monthly

4. Andersen Nigeria: Generally lower than the Big 4, reported around ₦235,000 monthly

Kindly note that salaries in these firms are subject to review and may increase as a result of inflation or changes in policy.

2 weeks? I thought the deadline of the first test was December ending. That means it took about a month if I’m correct.
I started to count after the second batch finished their assessment

For the non-engineering guys, I really haven't seen anyone complain about inductive reasoning. Was it that easy for everyone? Or is it that its own difficulty pales in comparison to the numerical?

Because... those shapes were quite confusing. There were also some questions that required me to use a pen and paper to 'solve'. My eyes were turning after I finished that part.
It was very easy for me. I completed before the timer elapsed

Lagos Business School (LBS) is in Ajah, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos but I do not know if NLNG makes use of it for training.
For NLNG applicants asking about preparation materials for NLNG Assessment Center, an independent study guide for NLNG Assessment Center is available online here 👇

Always rely on the official portals for final information.

NLNGOFFERLETTER:
No doubt, however, it was different for the HND guys (trainee technicians and trainee operators) they are only confirmed as permanent staff after a period of time, not immediately they receive their offer letters, unlike GTs who are regarded as permanent full-time staff from the first day.

However, the Trainee technicians that came in around Sept/Oct last year broke the jinx as they were the very first set of trainee technicians in the history of the company to be confirmed as permanent full-time staff from day 1.

Regarding training school, both technical and non-technical GTs attend training school at Lagos Business School, runs for about 6 weeks, after which they get posted to their various departments, from there they go on rotations usually within the same division to build your exposure to the business and further identify where your skills will be most valuable to the business.

Your GT development program may contain a training that must be taken abroad (if you’re lucky enough) but that shouldn’t even be your issue because you’ll be able to afford trips on a first class flight if you want to, so training or not, you’ll fly as much as you want.

By September you guys should have resumed at LBS, that’s if ceteris paribus.

To those who don’t get in, trust me, there are a zillion tons of places that are better than NLNG, we had GTs who rejected the offer, not like they even left the country, they’re still within Naija, I could mention at least 4/5 O&G companies that beat the NLNG offer, so don’t beat yourself, people are living their best lives without knowing that NLNG exists, even the ones who accepted the offer, still resign when they find greener pastures elsewhere, when you come in, you’ll really understand that your wants are insatiable and you’ll be wondering why you’d be looking at advertisements for LNG Canada, Saudi Aramco, TotalEnergies, Chevron etc when you’re in NLNG.

You’ll surely work for your money, but it’s more than worth it, you’ll see different classes of folks, my advice is to treat everyone as you’d want to be treated, whether they’re direct staff of partners, do not segregate anyone, cause you’ll soon find out that those partners are they keys to doing your job effectively and passing your appraisal.

Hopefully you make it to the AC, that’s another opportunity to understand the people there.
A quick one, do you mean all GTs must attend training at LBS?

Mix bag. The engineering grads got sent to the UK for engineering training pretty early. We (business GTs) didn’t meet them in Bonny when we resumed a few weeks after they had resumed and “jakpa’d”.

Also the 2017 GTs were a bit older than your average GTs as the process had taken 4 years when we resumed. So most had gotten married by the time they resumed. But yeah for a young lady, NLNG money can be very long that your average young guy no go get liver to toast. Plus the general culture in NLNG can make you come across as proud. I’m not saying NLNG folks are proud, but being an NLNGer means you start thinking and acting differently (more circumspect and safety conscious) and many people may see it as proud. Safety mindset is very very high there so basic safety things you start doing can put off some people. I remember always disconnecting phone charger from the wall whenever it wasn’t charging a phone and I got told “Which kain forming you dey form?”

Overall though, any fresh GT should have a financial plan laid out from day 1. Don’t let higher pay lead to higher expenses. And YES, you work hard. Very hard
Interesting 😹😹😹, so they don’t send Biz outside too😹😹😹…

One more question boss…how does the accommodation look like in Bonny?? Shared rooms??

Trust me, I know the feeling. The only exam I was sure of passing in the whole process was the medical exam. That one sef is another story. Not sure if I mentioned it then but I started jogging and keeping fit and drinking a lot of water for it o.

About the guy that shared the presentation task with me, he didn’t make the cut.

The case studies were random, mostly centred around business and management scenarios.

At the AC, once documentation was completed, there were no personal questions. No one asked about academic background, field of study, or prior experience.
There were also no questions or case studies requiring prior knowledge of NLNG or the oil and gas industry even
did they ask normal interview questions like tell me about yourself, why Nlng? Where do you see yourself in 5years? And the rest

Corporatehitman:
To be honest, writing the exam late was the most strategic thing anyone could do. It's the difference between being book smart and street smart and very Machiavellian, because the end justifies the means.

I wrote mine within 48 hours of receiving the link because the instructions in the email stated that we should wait 3 business days for any technical issues to be resolved. That would have meant Monday or today if I had attempted it during the weekend and encountered technical errors.

My experience with Shell is why I try to take assessments before the deadline, because some organizations operate a first-come, first-served criterion.

Now, back to Shell’s VJT and ODVI. I know a BGS who failed Shell’s VJT. It's equivalent to the job-focused assessment NLNG introduced in this recruitment. I have been thinking about it.
Everyone ignores it, but it is almost 100 questions about you, and you're forced to answer them quickly while making uncomfortable choices. The section also comes first.

What if NLNG is not just looking for people who pass their numerical reasoning test? What if a difference of one or two additional questions answered correctly, which would normally be the margin between average smart students in the numerical reasoning section, is not very relevant in the final selection?
Well they already know what they are looking out for. Even that job focused assessment tells a lot that we dont understand

@airsaylongcome

Please was the use of external calculator allowed for numerical questions or they made provision for online calculator? Thank you.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NLNG Recruitment 2025/2026 by Ellaposh: 5:32pm On Feb 08
airsaylongcome:
It’s not really about whether folks get on WhatsApp groups. That is always going to happen. It’s about publicly posting the link to the group to funnel people there. That is going to accomplish two things: channel more people off thread, and compromise people silly enough to join, which is what my “low IQ” comment was more about. Not necessarily an attack on the actual IQ of whoever posted it. Please, was the use of external calculator allowed for Numerical questions or they made provision for online calculator. Thank you

Edit: I just looked at their post history. Of their 15 posts, 7 are about funneling people to WhatsApp groups. Your statement “I don't know why some people feel like owing a WhatsApp group is a big deal.” suddenly makes a lot of sense
