Politics / Re: Central Bank Set Rules And Regulations For Bureau De Change, bars street trading by Elliotwaveforec: 7:15am On Feb 24
Good! Your office should be at the border not streets. Give Naira to incoming travellers and receive their foreign currencies in exchange. If you want to sell the received foreign currencies, the margin should be minimal infarct shouldn't be more than N50; not the current N300.

Good one! Seize all the export-bound essentials and auction to to Nigerian.

Cement, spaghetti, Garri, yam, flour, beans, maize, guinea corn, etc, should be seized and auctioned.

Ruke1989:
The easiest way is to do it USA style. Make it a crime punishable by paying $2billion fine for any exchange to trade in naira NGN either through P2P or otherwise. Or impose a 70% tax on every NGN withdrawal. You will sue binance international to court for non compliance with the 70% tax. Automatically, binance and other exchanges themselves will ban NGN fiat deposit and withdrawal to avoid paying $2 billion fine. The end users themselves will stop trading when they are forced by binance to pay such tax because it will make arbitration unprofitable
Good one! FG is reading and steps would be taken to that effect.

We are winning this war against economic saboteurs!

If there's a way to do that, let it be done immediately; no room for saboteurs to breathe.

zero sense, una no get. When Tinubu was sharing $25k per delegate, and sharing dollars to buy people's votes during the election you didn't know it'll cause these issues and now you and your useless president are looking for who to blame for the problems you caused. Same useless politicians are the ones storing up all the available dollars while half-brained cretins like y'all cheer them on.
If you had even an iota of sense, you would know that this stupid move by your government will further push up the value of the dollars due to more scarcity of dollars that'll result from this.

Like president, like followers; zero sense
Your papa and Mama no get sense.

The solution is staring at the govt in the face

Stop fiscal recklessness and hike rates well.

As long as excess liquidity is in the system; the naira will continue to die
You guys don't read news or what? The government is aiming for a single exchange rates; government doesn't want parallel market again, simple.

No more dual exchange rates!

Good!

A country that does not know economic security will learn the hard way like Nigeria is doing now.

Nigeria needs to reach out and learn from countries that have mastered the art of economic control and economic security.

In Nigeria anything goes.

Some even think it is their fundamental right to save up dollars inside Nigeria.

Left to me anyone who is not getting foreign remittances into their domiciliary account, should have any dollars they have stacked up till now, converted at a rate of $1 = N1.

If you have stacked up $20,000 within Nigeria, my government will convert it to N20,000 for you.

It is obvious you have more than enough to be contributing to the economic terrorism that is going on within the country, so we will help you with a conversion tax that will make you love your own Naira.

Na now the government begin wake up that you do not show mercy to wicked Nigerians.
Thank you my fellow good citizen!

They actually can. Don't underestimate the power of the government. They could
- ban binance website and app from opening in Nigeria, like they did Twitter some years. Forget using VPN, Binance will ban you straight.
- They could request KYC details of Binance users and go after them via BVN. Remember Binance has office in Abuja and they are willing to cooperate with the government.
-They could track the phone numbers used to operate OTP on binance and go after them via BVN.

etc etc.

Just pray that the government doesn't go full force against Binance users in Nigeria. Don't forget how the US government dealt seriously with the CEO of Binance
Leave them! They're underestimating the government.

It is the trade in USDT that is driving up the exchange rate against the Naira and not basic economic fundamentals.

Once the rate on Binan.ce goes up the abokis will also quickly adjust their own rates upwards

Just like they blocked twitter, binance can also be blocked from speculative activities so that criminal speculative activities can stop. On binance, rate is now 1900....so the target for this week is 1$ to 2000..... This is no longer speculation but a war to destroy the country and Tinubu and his team are not prepared for this.

We are really at war (economic)! We must fight this war and win against the saboteurs.

Instead of using USD for exchange, they use USDT with a gap of N300.

Government should know that it's a serious matter and tough measures are needed; not only against the currency manipulator also against food exporters taking advantage of weak Naira and starve locals of supplies.

All those farmers exporting essential goods to neighbouring countries should be given the same treatment;

Dangote and co are creating artificial scarcity in Nigeria by exporting to Niger; farmers too are doing the same just to maximise profit at the expense of Nigerians.

Government needs to be very tough on unpatriotic manufacturers like Dangote and Bua; as well as farmers of grains.

Good job by EFCC! Lazy BDC operators should find something else to do; go to Airport and give Naira to incoming travellers in exchange for their currencies.

Seize their Dollars and send them to jail.

If you want to spend dollar, go to America and do that.

Thieves! They're exporting to neighboring countries; nothing like demand overwhelming them. They make more money exporting than selling locally.

They should be stopped from exporting now!
