A man died last night after he had accident in Kontagora,Niger State.It is unclear how the accident happened.According to report,there is no means of contacting his family.

Nigerian soldier,Olobi Abdulazeez, has been killed by Boko Haram.The deceased is from Kwara State.

Abdulazeez Olobi, a gallant and brave soldier, who lost his life in the course of fighting for his dear country, Nigeria.

Although, Olobi was murdered by Boko Haram at the war front, but what we were not told is that he has for several years eliminated many enemies of the country at the war front.

Olobi participated in many operations where Boko Haram elements were flushed out. He participated in liberating many towns formerly occupied by Boko Haram. He prevented many suicide operations by the sect from achieving success.

2018 INAUGURATION SUMMIT, TITTLED "AFA IGBO EFUNA".

The event which held in the heartland of Imo state ,Owerri, had in attendance members of APGA and other distinguished Igbo individuals.

Chiefs of APGA who were at the summit were Hon Ifeanyi Ubah ,C.E.O of capital oil, Chief Dr Marcelli Chinagorom Oguh, founder of Marcelli Chinagorom Foundation, and also major Nollywood stars .

Addressing the gathering, Hon Ifeanyi Ubah(the chief host) said the forum was not for a political cause but a mass movement to determine how igbos , in his words, would be "liberated from bondage" of discredited politicians.He urged all Igbod to embrace the coalition.

Below are photos of Jones Abiri, a journalist said to have been detained at SSS underground cell for 2years without trial.



At first, the government denied having custody of him but were made to produce him in court yesterday.



He was brought to a court in Abuja, Nigeria, two years after he was arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS.

Abiri, publisher of the Weekly Source, a newspaper based in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state, was arrested in 2016 for allegedly being the leader of the joint revolutionary council of the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force, a separatist group.

He was alleged to have planned to bomb oil installations as claimed by the government.

Magistrate Chukwuemeka Nweke, granted bail to the defendants after their first arraignment since July 2016.

The magistrate approved August 8, 2018 as date to vary the bail conditions.

Honourable Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi visited the  Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode

You will recall that the construction of railway project has been slow within Lagos State and its environs. The Minister of Transportation and the Governor of Lagos State are to find a lasting solution to the gray areas in the state.      

The meeting was to  provide solution for problematic areas in the Lagos-Ibadan railway modernization contract within  Lagos state, including Apapa Sea Port.

Also both parties agreed that the construction works should commence next week.According to the Governor, the project will be completed within the period of twelve months.

The Governor thanked the Federal Government for their contributions, most especially the Honourable minister of Transportation for his effort in completion of rail projects in South West.

'Three people were killed in Utyondo by Fulani militia who resides at the border in Nasarawa state yesterday. Today 28/7/18 two were killed in mbayel/yandev.  They have been buried except one that was recovered today by the army. One woman and two of her children were also rescued by the army in Udei. I discussed with the army commander, he promised to stop the carnage.. If the killers are at Nasarawa border and are being left to kill Tiv farmers, l am not happy. I am discussing with the army on confidence building. They will have to leave their present stations to the border to enable farmers go back to their farms'.
