I beg to differ boss. Customary Law is different from Sharia Law. It is a law for our local communities. The Constitution recognizes it. But Sharia? It is a religious law. Nigeria is a secular country and its application violates Article 10 of our Constitution. The painful thing is that Non-Muslims and Christians are subjected to this barbaric law as opposed to your claims that it is only applicable to Muslims (take the case of Deborah).

There are significant population of Christians where this Sharia Law is enacted. Should the Christians there also have their own Christian Laws? Because it’d be a grave crime for Muslim Faithfuls to refer to Our Lord and Saviour as a prophet.
