A former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, on Thursday, asked the state Judicial Panel of Inquiry on Police Brutality, Extrajudicial Killings and Other Related Matters sitting in Awka to dismiss the petition against him.

He said the panel lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the case.

Represented by his counsel, Alex Ejesieme, SAN, Obi said it was an abuse of court process and sub judice for the panel to assume jurisdiction on a matter that was pending before the Court of Appeal.
