10 Lessons I learnt from making a million a week in this covid times. 1. Set your goal and know your numbers There's a difference between setting goals and scoring goals. Most people set goals but they don't know how to score goals. To score goals, know your numbers. How much is your product and what are the number of people you are targeting. My target was 200 persons at N5,000. I surpassed it and did 275 members. 2. Make an irresistible offer. Average marketers sell products, copywriters sell offers. As I always jokingly say, a product is garri, an offer is eba, soup and a cold hollandia yoghurt. Use the 1:100 rule. If people pay you N1, give them N100 value. When the perceived value is greater than the fee, sales becomes inevitable. My Offer came with my e-library, certificate and an opportunity for the top ten persons to work with me. 3. Increased day of training. My other classes were usually 3 days or highest 5 day classes. The highest I've had was 150. When I increased it to 30 days, I had 275 members. I came down to the conclusion, Nigerians attach Value to length of days. We just love it when the days are plenty. Also, longer days allow you to be transformational and not just transactional. 4. I delivered on the last class. For people have been to any of my paid trainings, you know I over promise and over deliver. I am not trying to brag right now. Lol. Most people over promise and under deliver. That's why customers don't refer them. Sir, if you cannot deliver, you need deliverance. My past students were instrumental in helping me bring their friends and family. 5. Kept showing my growth process. When I had 10, registrations, I would screenshot and post it. 20, 50, 100, 150, 200!! Till we got to 275! In fact, I had to say no to people because I was overwhelmed. When you show your progress report, it gingers others to also pay. It's called the band wagon effect. People want to associate with what plenty people associate with. I also. 6. Used lots of testimonies. 7. Used social proof with my mentors. 8. Used story selling. 9. Used Urgency (fast action) bonuses in my copy 10. Activated affiliate bonuses for my past students to motivate them. Last words: Don't ever assume everyone is suffering in this lock down. It's a lock down, not a knock down. Money is still moving, if it's not moving to your direction, there's is something you are not doing right. Akpe Emmanuel Prince of copywriting. Chief Value Officer.
