The Bible said that, they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us. [1 John 2:19]. People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can't make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead. Bro let it go. Don't say a word to her. Keep mute, hang out and develop yourself. I bet you she will come begging |

Proverbs 13 vs. 24
He that spareth his rod hateth his
son: but he that loveth him
chasteneth him betimes.
Proverbs 23 vs. 13
Withhold not correction from the
child: for if thou beatest him with
the rod, he shall not die.
Proverbs 29 vs. 15
The rod and reproof give
wisdom: but a child left to
himself bringeth his mother to
shame.
Proverbs 29 vs. 17
Correct thy son, and he shall give
thee rest; yea, he shall give
delight unto thy soul.
1. The Bible supports correcting
children or punishing them
with strokes of cane.
2. You are not doing your son
any good by sparing the cane.
3. The cane is a rod of
correction; use it when
necessary on children. |

THE former Minister of State for Education and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, on Tuesday made a bold attempt at wooing women in the state when he presented Dr. Ipalibo Banigo, as his running mate ahead of the 2015 general elections. Wike explained that he decided to choose a woman as his running mate because of his desire to create room for women to play active role in the political and economic development of the state. The ex-minister said that the task of choosing his running mate took him some time, because of what he described as rot in the governance of the state. Describing Banigo, who is a former Head of Service in the state, as a rare breed and a leader with uncommon traits, Wike expressed the optimism that the ex-Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the State Government would join him to rebuild the state. Banigo, who is from Degema Local Government Area, attended various universities, including the University of Ibadan, where she obtained her Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1976. Speaking on Tuesday in Port Harcourt while presenting Benigo as his running mate, Wike said though the history of the state was awash with the input of women, none had been given the opportunity to hold an office as high as that of the state deputy governor. He said, “The search has ended. Dr. Banigo is a rare breed and a leader with uncommon traits. She will join us to rebuild the state. Her choice was informed by the need to create a special place for women to play active role in the politics of the state. “Since 1967 when the state was created, no woman has been given such an opportunity. Yet, the history of the state is replete with women of great achievements. The time has come to give women the chance to play pivotal roles in the state.” “The Rivers PDP is determined to move away from the primordial era of treating women with disdain and indignity. We want to move away from the acts of our opponents, who relish giving out token to women. As a first step, the Rivers PDP decided that a woman should occupy the post.” Banigo, in her acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to the party and Wike for picking her as his running mate. www.punchng.com/news/wike-picks-woman-as-running-mate/

The authorities of the Nigerian Navy has clarified the controversy of the alleged acquisition of seven gunboats by an ex-Niger Delta Militant Leader, Chief Ekpemupolo, (aka Tompolo) saying the boats belong to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency. The Chief of Training and Operations of the Nigerian Navy, Rear Admiral Austin Oyagha, said during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday that the reports that Tompolo had acquired warships or gunboats was untrue. He explained that the said gunboats belong to NIMASA and were being manned by personnel of the Nigerian Navy from the Maritime Component of the service in consonance with a pact between the agency and the Navy. Oyagha explained that NIMASA had a responsibility to ensure safety of the nation’s port and had to enlist the services of the Navy to enforce that responsibility since the Agency lacked the constitutional powers to carry arms and ammunition. He said, “I want to state categorically that no individual has acquired gun boats into this country. The gunboats being alluded to actually belong to NIMASA and these boats are currently being manned by personnel of the Nigerian Navy. “And as you are all aware, Nigerian Navy has collaboration with NIMASA of which we have a maritime component attached to the organisation in support of the statutory responsibility in ensuring the safety of our harbor approaches to our anchorage. He also dismissed claims that the gunboats had Tompolo written on them stressing that no such boat was operating in Nigeria’s territorial waters. www.punchng.com/news/tompolo-gunboats-belong-to-nimasa-says-navy/ |
Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has just presented the 2015 budget estimates of about N4.3trillion before the National Assembly. She laid the document in separate appearances before the Senate and the House of Representatives. There was not a joint sitting of the two chambers as has been the tradition, as President Goodluck Jonathan already delegated Okonjo-Iweala to present the estimates on his behalf. The Coordinating Minister of the Economy came to National Assembly with a retinue of other ministers and the Director-General, Budget Office of the Federation, Dr. Bright Okogu. No speeches were made during the ceremony, which was quite brief. |
