this is history play life and direct in our time, this was how the north wanted their own country after the first power transition to the military in Jan 1966, which was their aim with the northern and Gowon coup. As for Nnamdi Kanu, he made the same mistake Ojukwu made that led to Biafra loosing the war to Nigeria.

My late uncle who was among the Biafra government officials said Biafra lost the war because Ojukwu rejected Russia's request to assist Biafra win the war in exchange for Biafra to become Russian ally in Africa, Ojukwu rejected Russia and foolishly believed he could win the war on his own without external help while Nigeria ran to the western world to help them defeat Biafra.


Nnamdi Kanu made same mistake of hanging himself on the air without seeking for a strong foreign backup like Russia since western world already have a decade long alliance with Nigeria. Igbo agitators must learn from the past mistakes of other agitators if they truly want Biafra to come. Relying just on Israel that is struggling for its national security is a mistake and besides Israel is a big ally of the west, so relying on Israel is a big mistake for Biafra agitators
