1. The Red indies where not driven away and totally forced into exile as the result of war by the Europeans who came and occupied their land.Rather,they were conquered and forced to surrender to the European invaders.So till today,they are still living in their land , totally fused with their conquerors without demanding for a separate state from the people who conquered them some centuries ago.The same thing with Aborigines of Australia and Canada that you mentioned.

But in the case of analogical Yorubas and Fulanis we are talking about here.The Fulanis were never conquered by the Yorubas that now occupy their land.Lets assume Igala fought war with the Fulanis and drove them out of the land but they themselves didn't take over the Fulanis land.When the Igala kingdom fell,they withdrew their government totally from the land.Through out this period,the Yorubas were never in the picture of things there at all.And all of a sudden,the Yorubas emerged from nowhere and lay claim on the land illegally.
Mind you I said "illegally" because their claim of the country/land negate the two ideal methods of establishing a state/community in the olden days.
These methods are;
a. Going into a virgin forest and deforesting it to establish your new kingdom there.

b. Fighting wars with the perceived weaker community/kingdom and subduing them to either be under your new rulership as vassals or forcing them to migrate entirely out of their original land into a new established community.
In either of the cases,they won't come back to the land again.


But in this case,the "Yorubas" didn't conquered the Fulanis land in war neither did they also DISVIRGIN the land to establish their state.You cannot just see an already established community though with scanty population and you lay claim to it when you didn't conquered them militarily nor deforest the land.So the Fulanis in exile still have full legal rights to their homes no matter the length of time they have been in exile.It should interest you to know that if it was the Igalas (Romans )who conquered them that are the ones occupying that land till today,the world would have had a different view of the matter and things would have been handled differently.

So my submission is that the "Yorubas" are the illegal occupiers of the land and as such should abide by whatever conditions given to them by the "Fulanis" the original owner of the state.Period!

Your analogy is incomplete.It should have gone thus;
the Fulanis owned and lives in the land for ages.Then a war broke out between them and world Super Power (Roman Empire) and the Fulanis were massacred and about 95% of them driven away from their ancestral land to scatter all over the north.After few years,the Yorubas come and occupy that land.Then in 1948,the Fulanis now said to themselves,now that the Roman Empire has collapsed,the dreaded Gen Titus is no more there and there's no more war again,let us go back to our ancestral land.Then upon coming back,they noticed the Yorubas now live in their land.For peace to reign,they offer voluntarily to give the Yorubas some portion of the land down south of the land instead of sending them back to their land in the neigbouring Yorubas towns which they originally came from.But the Yorubas refused.Claiming the land is theirs and that they want to take from the costal line of Eko to Ile Ife which is the capital.The fulanis then said no,that the yorubas shouldn't even mention Ile Ife,that that is where their Alter for worshipping of their God is.The Yorubas responded that during the time of Fulanis exile that they have also built their Alter for the worship of their God in the same Ile Ife.And they started fighting the Fulanis.Then in 2024,the Fulanis then said that they won't even give part of their land to the Yorubas again as their independent state.The war broke out and continues............

So that is how the analogy should look like,not the incomplete one you drew to whip sentiment.

If my memory serves me correctly, Isreal has been on the forefront pushing for a Palestinian state for these nitwits. They even offered them the option twice, but HAMAS turned it down. It was only until recently that they perished the idea because they've realised that HAMAS will only use their state status to pursue more creative means of exterminating them, since it isn't interested in the development of its people and state.

The two states solution is it just coming out in 2024? No, the Palestinians said they want from the river to the seas tHey should go and get it. That solution has been there since the 40s but they rejected it culminating in the Arab collision attacking Israel to take from the rivers to the seas back but unfortunately they failed.
