I must say, this is a nice piece of material, well organised and structured. Informative and disseminating relevant information. Nigeria needs Nigerians dat would not wait for Nigeria. I know one day, I would make a mark on the global stage. Congratulations Mr Igwemezie, Proudly Igbo

It is no suprise that there are no comments to this article, this because, it is quite simply dumbfounding. There is nothing one can say, as the news leave one speachless. Our own government because of the apathy that surrounds it, whenever it comes to doing the correct things for its people, here again shows its incompetance and lack of direction, whilst standing back and watching other nations ursuping Nigerian talent to do the correct things for their own people. Irak that is still under the hangover of a tragic war, is just three years away from a railway network, with the use of a Nigerian Engineer. Nigeria that is 50 cannot even employ the services that is commonly available to build a simple tram network.
PoliticsAmnesty Does Not Solve The N.d. Crises. by emyah(op): 11:39am On Oct 02, 2009
The most serious mistake the militants/freedom fighters could ever make is to accept Yaradua's ill-conceived amnesty. Accepting any form of amnesty will not only automatically translate into suicide - in all sense of the word - for the militants, but will also mean that the end of the struggle without achieving its main objective.

Thus, by accepting an amnesty, all the human sacrifice, endurance, suffering, e.t.c. of the militants and the indigenes will be in vain. THE AMNESTY IS NOTHING BUT ANOTHER TRAP AND MANIPULATION!!! Most importantly, the Niger Delta crises is not about granting amnesty.

It is about correcting economic, political and social injustice that the people have been subjected to by the military and the north and renegotiating tje countr's loopsided oil contracts, negotiated by the borth on behalf of Nigeria.

It's about demolishing the system, 419 constitution and structure that deprives bonafide owners the right to the use of their land, mineral and human resources first and foremost for their own development in the name of building a fake ONE NIGERIA that has NEVER existed fo the past 50 years (after independence in 1960) and/or for almost 100 yeras (after amalgamation in 1914), does not exist now and will never exist.

The militants must not allow Yaradua to play 419 on them. Detailed analysis of the amnesty and its consequence for the militants - if they accept it - and the struggle will be made in coming parts of this series. STAY TUNED! Meanwhile, before the period for the fake amnesty runs out, my advise for MEND now is to call a press conference together with Afenifere - the Yoruba social group and Uhaneizze and demand for the following:

1) Complete and unconditional withdraw of Joint Task Force from the Niger Delta with immediate effect - before October 4, 2009;

2) Yaradua should publicly tender an apology on behalf of the north and the military for all the inhuman crimes committed aginst innocent Nigerians and Nigeria - including murders, embezzlement, deliberately conniving with foreigners to rob Nigeria of hundreds of billions of dollars and weaken her - and for making Nigeria a failed state despite the enourmous amount of human and mineral resources the country is bestowed;

3)Yaradua should publicly tender an apology on behalf of the north and the military for all the attrocities commited in the Niger Delta by them (the north and the military) against the indigenes - including failure to punish severely multinational oil companies for the mass pollution of their lands and the unprecedented level of poverty in the region despite the fact that Nigeria earns more than 80% of its foreign revenues from this region. And for the hypocrisy of the north who squandered billions of dollars of the region's resources in building a new capital, Abuja, an elephant project, from scaratch, for themselves while the bonafide owners of the resources wallow in abject poverty.

4) Yaradua must agree to stand trial after the completion of his term for ordering his mad soldiers to massacre innocent and harmless Niger Deltans whose only crime was their audacity to demand for justice.

5) Convoke a National Sovereign Conference (SNC) where all political, economic, cultural and social issues - including the willingness of various ethnic groups to remain in the same country with the north.

6) Conduct independent audit of the oil and gas in the region (Guidelines are provided in part 8 of my series "How the Niger Deltans can get their freedom: the action plan!"

This is the LITMUS TEST for Yaradua and the north, and their sincerity about amnesty, the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole. Details will follow later.

President Yar’Adua’s greatest challenges seem to be his deteriorating health, how to rein in his greedy associates, how to rule the country, and how to approach the Niger Delta tragedy. And a tragedy it is. Insofar as the Niger Delta is concerned, the President’s approach has been to listen to the dictates of the military and the Arewa Consultative Forum: annihilate trouble-makers and restless communities in the region. The goal of his government is not to arrest and prosecute, but to invade, destroy and kill. This mild-mannered and self-effacing man has turned out to be more brutal that General Obasanjo. And so, Alea iacta est: The die is cast. The assault and annihilation of the Niger Delta is about to begin.

Beginning in 1999 when the President Olusegun Obasanjo’s regime came into being, there were ample opportunities to solve some of the most pressing problems that have confronted the country since 1914, when a parchment of differences were put together to form a single political entity. At the very least, Obasanjo could have made genuine attempts at solving those that have confronted the country since 1960. But he didn’t. He was in power for eight years during which time he legalized corruption, mediocrity and inanity. He was succeeded by Umaru Musa Yar’Adua -- a president who relies primarily on the military and the hawks around him to do his biddings

After decades of deceit and lies our youths have seen the 419 of the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate for what it really is -419. That is when the youths decided to drive the parasites, and the blood suckers out of our land. Then the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate held their clandestine meetings and like Satan decided to test and deceive our youths with money and promises. They told leprous Umaru YarAdua to tempt our youths with promises of money and what they called “AMNESTY.” Amnesty! Amnesty !! What Amnesty!!! Wait a minute isn’t amnesty an act of forgiveness for past offenses? Yea, that’s what it is. So who deserves amnesty? Is it the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarch bloodsuckers and the Sokoto Caliphate parasites who robbed our people of their billions of dollars; their land; their mineral resources; their water resources, slaughtered hundreds of thousands of our people; destroyed billions of dollars worth of our goods and personal property; who should be begging us to forgive them? Or is us whose sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, uncles, and aunts they murdered in cold blood, whose hundreds of billions of dollars they stole, whose property they looted, stole, and burned to ashes; is it us whose petroleum and gas, land and water resources they seized; whose rivers, lakes, streams, and farmland they polluted and destroyed; is it us who should be asking them for forgiveness. Forgiveness for what! How in the world can any normal human being reason the way these blood suckers do? Amnesty! Amnesty! Easterners to beg the Hausa Fulani Yoruba genocidists and the Sokoto Caliphate Satanists for forgiveness! Forgiveness for what – for killing us in millions! Any Easterner: Annang, Efik, Ibibio, Igbo, Ijaw, Ogoja, Itsekiri, Isoko, Esan, and Urhobo talking of amnesty must be eating their food through their anus.

And so we ask you the youths of Eastern Region Biafra, the brave men and women who are fighting for their freedom, and liberation; the patriots fighting for justice for themselves, their children and their families and generations yet unborn are you going to be the MUGU of the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate or are you going to make them your MUGU? Please don’t tell us that you are going to be the MUGU of the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate. It is true that many of our politicians, intellectuals, traditional leaders, and even religious leaders have become the MONKEYS of the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate. The Oligarchs and the Caliphate just throw bags of money in front of them and like dogs smelling a bone they pounce and in the process eat their own shit. They have handed over their mothers’ and fathers’ graves and bones to the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate for a few million naira, or some political office. Then they use the money to buy mansions at Abuja and Lagos after which they become the MONKEYS of the Hausa Fulani Yoruba oligarchs and the Sokoto Caliphate. The Hausa Fulani Yoruba parasites and the Sokoto bloodsuckers beat the drums for them and they like obedient jester monkeys dance to entertain their Hausa Fulani Yoruba savages. No, the youths of Eastern Region Biafra cannot and will not be your MUGU.

May God bless the sensible people of Biafra and the sovereign independent State of Biafra !
PoliticsRe: Exchange New Naira For N1 = 100 Old Naira To Reduce Inflation Rate by emyah(m): 2:34pm On Oct 01, 2009
Inflation refers to a rise in prices that causes the purchasing power of a nation to fall. Inflation is a normal economic development as long as the annual percentage remains low; once the percentage rises over a pre-determined level, it is considered an inflation crisis.
PoliticsRe: Exchange New Naira For N1 = 100 Old Naira To Reduce Inflation Rate by emyah(m): 2:30pm On Oct 01, 2009
Inflation can be caused by federal taxes put on consumer products such as cigarettes or fuel. As the taxes rise, suppliers often pass on the burden to the consumer; the catch, however, is that once prices have increased, they rarely go back, even if the taxes are later reduced. Wars are often cause for inflation, as governments must both recoup the money spent and repay the funds borrowed from the central bank. War often affects everything from international trading to labor costs to product demand, so in the end it always produces a rise in prices.

Depends on what aspect you are talking about. Every county has some down side. I really think there is no answer to this question in a general sense. Plus, it's all a matter of perspective, likes and dislikes.

I think many in the Delta now identify with the herculean struggle begun by their Igbo brothers and now, it seems, must be continued by the minorities. If it comes to an all-out war of extermination I believe the Igbo people will not stand idly by while their brothers are being slaughtered,

Does anybody doubt anymore that if the oil were mined from the North, Nigeria would have been divided long time ago. In my humble opinion the only way to get the Sokoto Caliphet hands out of the cookie jar is to find oil in commercial quantity in the North. If that happen watch and see how the greedy North will sing a different tune in a New York minute. Remember all the resources the Federal government have poured into exploring oil from the North. The North rational is that if Chad and Ghana can now discover oil in their domain then there should oil in the North.

What the North is doing here is to exterminate the Delta and then take over. Unfortunately the Delta itself are not united in this fight and also there seem to be non coherent message coming out of Niger Delta. As long as the movement leaders continue to strike individual deals from the Federal Government their cause will continue to suffer, unfortunately it is the poor followers who are bearing the brunt of the Nigeria Forces.

I think the Igbos are very sympathetic with what is going on in the Delta because it will somehow spill into Igbo land. Unfortunately the Niger Deltan realized too late that their faith is interwoven with that of Igbo nation. Because the Igbos and Deltas are sibblings.
PoliticsFor Those Of Us From The Niger- Delta Who Are Talking About Peace And Turning: by emyah(op): 3:23pm On Sep 30, 2009
What is happening in the Niger Delta is pure criminality of the highest order, arising from total disregard for constitutional authority. In Iraq, thousands of people lost their lives because of an insurrection against the government during the reign of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein. We can do away with 20 million militants for the rest 120 million Nigerians to live.” Hon. Bala Ibn Na'allah (Kebbi State)

For those of us from the Niger- Delta who are talking about peace and turning the other cheek, this is for you. That Idiot has just spoken the mind of the Sokoto Caliphate and their cohorts. It has always been their grand agenda to exterminate us so as to have access to the oil unchallenged.

Ken Saro Wiwa never took up the gun before he was hanged by the diabolic Nigerian state.

Now Nigeria has come for the Ijaws : None Ijaws stay back or hide at your own peril because before long they will come for you and there won't be anyone around to come to your rescue!
It was done to the igbos and they succeeded because other minority tribes in the south were either passive, indifferent, cowardly or stupid enough not to stand with their igbo brother to shake off the shakkles of the Nigerian state.

Mr Ibn Na'allah, So you think 20 million Niger Deltans should be exterminated so that parasites like you can reap where your fathers never sow? Ignorant people like you can thrive politically only in a depraved, unfair, unjust and diabolical nation like Nigeria. Word of advice ! you better start building up the groundnut pyramids in Kano because very soon, you won't be able to lift a single drop of crude from the Delta since you have decided to murder sleep.

If you think you will ultimately succeed in killing all the Ijaws, Ogonis, Urhobos, Itsekiris and their kins to enable you feed on our blood, you better think again.

Very soon evil shall befall you and your caliphate controlled Nigeria.

If I could have Biafra in the East (even if only Igboland), Biafra will qualify for the world cup because there will be no quota system. Every position will be manned by the most talented player. In fact  our football league will be among the best in the world. If there was Biafra, we would not have lost Bakassi to Cameroun. We won't lose anything to Cameroun including soccer -(go and check the record of Nigeria teams against Camerounin teams -Iwuanyanwu, Enyimba, Heartlands, Rangers)- we hardly lose to Cameroun. If I could have Biafra, there will be real local policing -no single federal bullshiting police- real policing is local, night life will return! If there is Biafra, we won't have religiously organised murder
code named riots. If we have Biafra, most of our people in foreign countries would be home and busy working! No free meal for anybody! We will not be a big for nothing country like Pakistan, but a small and mighty country like South Korea, Singapore or Israel. These are things Nigeria can never be.
