Oluwaseunomo:Natasha Akpoti can have six children for six different men! Ko kan yin...é no concern you. Natasha lo ni obo é, ibi to ba dé wu ni o le Pin dé! ( Natasha is the owner and custodian of her thing, she can share, distribute or port in parts or whole as she deems) Meaning using her having six children for six different men to keep her quiet or humiliate her would mean you have to do more than that. Having six children with six different men was with her consent, no woman should be violated verbally, emotionally or physically because of the number of men she has been with . She might have consented to 6 men and the 7th is a no! That No 7 should be respected |

Beyond Natasha: The Akpabio Conundrum! How did Nigeria end up with Godwill Akpabio as its No. 3 man and chief lawmaker, who should be serving a term in jail for stealing public funds? The transformation of Godswill Akpabio from a defendant in a 108 billion naira corruption case to the senate presidency is akin to the transformation of Nigeria from one of the richest and the greatest black African nations to one of poorest and the most corrupt in the world. Let us deeply dive into Godwill Akpabio to understand Nigeria`s problem better. Godwill Akpabio served as governor of Akwa Ibom state for 8 good years. In those 8 years, Akpabio like many other governors in Nigeria practically turned Akwa Ibom state treasury into his ATM as a glorified Father Christmas. The only governor who matched Akpabio`s level of profligacy was the former Governor of River State Peter Odili who funnily secured a perpetual injunction against investigations and prosecution for corrupt practices. The story of Peter Odili is a tale for another day. Let’s circle back to Akpabio, Governor Apabio was a big spender. As a PDP governor then, Akapbio practically bankrolled PDP activities nationwide because, to him, money was never the problem of Akwa Ibom, the only problem was how to spend it-apology to General Gowon. Money flows into Akwa Ibom from oil derivation being one of the oil-producing states in the Niger Delta. Akpabio as governor, spent money as if the naira was going out of circulation. The media landscape in Abuja also kowtow to Akpabio whims and caprices. Whenever Akpabio flew into Abuja which he often did as governor, all Abuja Journalists would be on the ground to receive him and sing his praises on air and in print. A one-time popular host with Ray Power radio and AIT was his media connector. He organized Abuja journalists and editors to praise “the uncommon governor” as he used to call himself to high heaven for a good price. The media connector became stupendously rich from working with Akpabio to corrupt Abuja journalists and editors. After 8 years of Akapabio as Lord of the Manor in Akwa Ibom state, The EFCC investigated his tenure and concluded that the man stole more than 108 billion naira from the state. The money considering Akpabio`s kleptomaniac profligacy was a gross underestimation of what he stole from his poor people. Like many of its investigations, the EFCC in some instances still manages to charge people it investigates to court as long as Aso Rock gives them the EFCC the ahead. (the anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria and the police take directives from the presidency on who to prosecute and who to let off the hook) After the EFCC concluded its investigations for stealing public funds, Akpabio did what other PDP top brass like Senator Omosore and Senator Obanikoro did to escape prosecution- decamp from the PDP to the APC. Pronto, Akpabio jumped ship to the APC. He became a top campaigner for Nigeria's famed ‘Mr Integrity” Mohammadu Buhari. After his victory, President Buhari who campaigned to stem the tide of corruption in Nigeria appointed Godwill Akpabio, a man his anti-corruption agency accused of stealing 108 billion naira as one of his cabinet ministers. Akpabio was minister of NNDC, a grade A federal ministry. That kickstarted the transformation of Akpabio from an alleged thief to cabinet minister under Buhari, a president who came to power to "fight corruption." After 4 years as a minister under Buhari,Akpabio upped his audacity by contesting for the APC presidential primary election- a party that harbors all the thieves running to escape prosecution from the PDP. Akpabio then circled back from his failed presidential ambition to regain the Senate seat he had legally lost through the Nigeria magical judiciary. And then enters Bola Ahmed Tinubu a man that is not a stranger to corruption and illegal accumulation of public funds. The billionaire president could not have gotten a better addition to complete his circle of corrupt loyalists and powerhouse after making the former governor of Kano state, Gaduje who was captured on camera pocketing a $5 million bribe in his babanriga the national chairman of the ruling party, the APC. President Tinubu pushed and railroaded Akpabio into the Senate presidency seat and so it stood since 2023. You now have a man who should be serving a prison term for stealing public funds sitting as senate president of the most populous black nation on earth. The story of Goodswill Akpabio is beyond NATASHA, it is the story of everything wrong with Nigeria. @ Africa Center for Institutional Integrity (ACII) Copied
