I don't know why poor people always feel that whatever is seen on a rich man was bought by him. The wristwatch being discussed was given to the governor by me on his last birthday as a token of my appreciation for the contracts he awarded to my company. Rich men hardly buy things for themselves, people rush over themselves to give them gifts. |
***you see, not many can understand this post. Some rich people just don't go about dolling out money to their children in school. Trump's daughter, Tiffany, talked about being placed on $500 (or even less, can't quite remember now) monthly allowance while in school and how it wasn't enough. Davido's father, I believe, may have been in that same league. Not over pampering a child in university, especially one who was stubborn enough to stick to his dream of studying music and dad had to pump in money to create a whole department of Music, just to ensure he got a university degree. So indeed, Davido may have considered himself a poor man. It is common knowledge that his father only began sponsoring his music after he completed his degree. He met Chioma at the stage in his life when Cornflakes in campus was probably luxury for many students. Now read: 👇 "I met my wife before I had money and she still accepted me even though I was broke.' "I was telling a rich friend of mine who's single the other day that when you're rich, it'll be hard to find a woman who truly loves you. Anytime I'm on the phone with my wife getting all loving and playful, this friend will say how he has everything in this world but can't find a woman who genuinely loves him. I met my wife before I had money and fame. I always feel like if I didn't meet her then and I was still single now and I met a girl, I know that she won't love the inner me but she will love 'Davido' the rich part of me. That's why to me, my own success is when I'm doing something and I see everybody around me who's been with me right from my early beginnings. Whether it's awards, concerts or when I bought my first Rolls Royce. I remember when I bought my first Rolls Royce, I went to my cousin who used to talk about the cars we'll buy when we blow and we celebrated together. When you blow, don't start hanging out with different people, always keep the people that were there with you from the beginning. It gives me joy watching the people who were with me when I was broke rejoice because we finally made it. Right now when any of my family members misses a flight, they'll just call me and say "David, I just missed my flight but I said I'm your cousin, just show your face" and when I do, it's a new flight ticket for free,' - Davido.
