The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has assured that the ongoing strike action by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU) would not affect this year's admission process.

The Joint admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on 22-08-2017 while announcing the 2017/2018 cut-off mark and at the same time disclosed the 2017 admission deadline.

According to the information, admissions into public degree awarding institutions will end on January 15, 2018 while that of private institutions ends on January 31, 2018

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on 22-08-2017 set the the minimum cut-off mark for admissions into universities at 120.

The meeting which had Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts of higher institutions as well as other stake holders in attendance.

The minimum cut off marks for polytechnics and colleges of education was set at 100 while that of innovative enterprising institutes was set at 110.

During the meeting it was decided at the meeting that admission into first choice universities should close on October 15 while December 15, 2017 was set as the closing date for second choice admission by institutions.
